Good location
Pillows far too soft, not much space around beds

The NOISE was so much worse than I was expecting. You can hear EVERYTHING - the door slamming every time someone leaves the pub, people talking in the corridor at all hours, the trains, the traffic from the main road, even the lyrics to every song the band is playing below.
Blood stain on my pillow. Bathroom floor was always drenched. I barely slept the two nights we were there which really impacted my enjoyment of the weekend. I’m now full of a cold, probably from being so run down after not sleeping. Never staying here again obviously. If you have no choice but to stay here, bring high end ear plugs.

The staff. Very friendly and efficient.
Room was small as was the bathroom, the tv was so high up on a shelf that it was uncomfortable to watch. The room is the most basic of basic rooms. Okay if all you want to do is sleep there. Not a room you want to spend any kind of down time in.

Great location and quaint little town for an afternoon stroll after motorbike ride in the morning
The menu ...at lunch everything was still available but by dinner vf gf n do had run out

Great pub accommodation, clean room, great bathroom. The bed wasn’t very comfortable especially for two people. There was a band down stairs which was very loud in our room which was directly above. Not a problem for us as we went down to the gig, and it finished around 10.

I originally booked this family room (14) thinking it was the one I had seen with my son on a previous visit. However this room is configured smaller than the one we saw and we would only stay in room 20 from now on if it was available. We were offered room 20 on the last night which we took and it was perfect.
The smoke from the covered area outside downstairs drifts up and into the room at night if the windows are left open for ventilation, this was a problem because there were people smoking until 10:30 at night.

There is no fridge or freezer, no toaster, no microwave, and no plates. Just a kettle, a few cups, and few glasses. No heater, They say the heater is on a timer!!!

Lovely heritage building, great fireplaces and ambience in the lounges.
Couldn’t work out how to turn down the heating overnight which was quite noisy through a ceiling vent.

Old fashioned pub, great location.
Meals were generous portions, tasty, fair price.

Room and contents very clean and fresh. Hotel well located. Glazing inhibited noise from the highway outside.
No spare blanket and very lightweight doona.
Electric blanket cord was barely long enough to reach plug and was not plugged into socket so when turned on at bed, did not work.
If management did not wish to leave it plugged in, some advance warning at reception would have helped, rather than scrambling to identify the problem at 2am.
Old style building and music in bar below sounded like it was located immediately underneath.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The shower was hot.
Nothing I can think of

Sparkly clean
Bedrooms next to the railway are not meant for people who have a light sleep. Trains pass by ALL night, and it's impossible to have a good rest.
Other than that, this place is great.

electronic bed heater
the kettles got smoked inside that I even asked to change one, but still the same

The location is great: close to shops, cafès and groceries. The room was cosy and warm on the cold nights with enough space for my stuff.

location. bit noisy

This is an historic building- parts have been retained in old style. Outdoor area at back was great for breakfast: Hotel does not do breakfast but provides kettle and the must-visit bakery just around the corner has the best breakfast stuff to take out.
TV in the back-bar seems unnecessary. Limited sitting area by the fire; maybe seating could be re-arranged a bit.

Our two dinner meals in the bistro were very good.
Staff great and accommodating eg. no trouble to put our food in their fridge and freezer blocks in the freezer.
Plenty of off street parking.
We scored a very small‘double’ room* at the front of the hotel open to all the delights of the Great Western Highway ie. constant noise from large tandem trucks etc. despite add on double glazing.
*eg. You couldn’t open the door properly without hitting the bed.

Excellent location. Good vibes. Great menu.
Bedding smell - need freshness, like pineoclean, added by laundary. Blood spot found on bed sheet. Air freshener supplied perhaps. Small bar fridge would make it perfect.

The staff were lovely and it was very clean! The bar has a nice atmosphere and good beer.
Unfortunately the WiFi was down, which was one of the main reasons we had booked to stay. Also the road is noisy.

Location and comfy bed. Room with toilet and shower was wonderful. Ease of check in and it was good to have free parking.

This little place worked really well for me. it’s not 5 star by any means but neither is the price. it was clean, had an en-suite, had tea/coffee making facilities in the room. I was able to check in late and still get food. for the price this is a great little place
between 3:30-4:30 a.m. on the Sunday morning someone decided it was a good time to empty out all the bottles and tidy the outside area below my room making a load of noise. I did not appreciate it
