the restaurant, restaurant staff, and food were excellent.
this was billed as a 4* hotel, but after travelling the world it is the first 4* I have found not to have any form of concierge service or secure storage for luggage. it was said to have lift access but nothing was said about the fact that you have to go up a ten-step staircase to reach the lift or that it doesn’t go to the top 2 floors or restaurant. DON’T BE FOOLED BY THE CLAIMED 4 STARS! If you have any mobility issues this hotel is not for you.

Sadly, there was no view but the room itself was very clean and a good size.

The only reason I would recommend this hotel is for the rooftop restaurant - the view and the food is very good.( mind you, if it rains you don't get to see it). But you can also dine here without having to stay at their hotel. It was very close to the city center, relatively clean excepting for some hairs and small mold here and there and the bed was comfy.
The room felt so outdated, and not in a romantic kind of way, like taky, cheap and it had a very heavy stale air smell to it ( there was better air in the cappuccini catacombes). The front desk staff was ALWAYS on the damn phone, ignoring us as we looked at them or telling us to wait.. in 5 different encounters!! They were still renovating some floors and you would go to sleep to those noises, and wake up to the cleaning crew cleaning othe rooms.
Something else that I absolutely hated was that they made us fiill in a form to declare that we accept a huge fine if we smoke in the room even though we told them we aren't smokers.(another waste of precious time). Also she said that there is a 30€ fine if we loose the keycard and that we should leave it at the front desk each time we go out. (We're not children)
Even though we paid in advance via booking they asked for a credit card in case they need to fine us for one of the above or if we stole the 2€ 500ml water bottles from the minibar. Treating their guests like highly possible thieves. We asked if there were newer rooms available and that we would pay to get upgraded and she said she doesn't know and that she will get back to us by phone to let us know. She never did.

Location and staff.
Some rooms yet to be modernized and therefore tired. Breakfast could do with a lift. Room on 5th noisy at times as below breakfast area and passageway to roof terrace.

I asked a quiet room and it was very silent.
Amazing gluten free breakfast in the terrace.

One of the few places I've stayed this trip where the in-room Wi-Fi was actually good.
Make sure you check out the roof top bar & restaurant. There is a good view across the city.

Very good location, nice staff, amazing breakfast/restaurant place at the 7th floor. The rooms were renovated since my last stay a few years ago. The cleaning staff was exceptionally good, they took a great care not only of the room, but also of the public areas of the hotel.
The selection of food at the breakfast might be improved. Maybe it was beacuse of low-season.

Loved the rooftop bar/restaurant/view of Palermo. It was a great location for sightseeing and just wandering.

The roof terrace for evening drink. Amazing view. Staff very friendly
Bathroom pretty old and cramped. Toilet seat loose. Not able to regulate hot water in shower. Overall room could do with upgrade

The hotel reception staff were very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and had a desk and a safety deposit box. What I really loved about the room was my view from the small balcony. It overlooked old Palermo and the mountains in the distance. The ceilings are very high. There's a small elevator that took me to the 5th floor. Bed was comfortable.
The upstairs restaurant although is very nice gave me a bit of attitude when they saw I was by myself. The first night I went there I didn't get the best table. The excuse they gave me is everything is booked. But after that several small (2ppl) table were empty for over an hour. The food was really good the first night and mediocre the 2nd night.

Great location, right in the centre of Palermo. Staff were very friendly. View from balcony at breakfast is the best in the city. Room was very clean. Facilities of the hotel are dated, but it's an old building so to be expected - the vintage elevator was my favourite! All in all great stay!

High ceilings and comfy bed and good air con. It was very hot but the room was cool which made it easy to sleep.
The bathroom is quite small but it is an old building so understandable. This is more an observation than a fault. More fruit options for breakfast would be nice.

The hotel was absolutely amazing! The location is great, the staff could not be nicer. Bonus for the breakfast area with panoramic view of Palermo.

Good location for visiting Palermo, good communication and helpful and very friendly staff, beautiful view from the rooftop and good arrangement for the airport transfer
The hotel and room are very dated and not very well maintained (eg mold in the shower; the bed cover with stains and the bed frame with scratches). The selection for breakfast was limited and the croissant were not fresh.

Fantastic view from the roof top. Very good location.
TV had only one channel, fridge was broken, toilet was broken, bathroom very small and there was nothing to hang the towels. Staff was not very friendly.
