I had a comfortable stay. Staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Good location and close to the river. I liked that they provided a membership card for the bowls club across the road the get member discounted meals. Something unique which was a lovely gesture for guests.
I would stay again

Rooms were good and clean. The Café served a good breakfast with many choices
The restaurant in the local sports club is a fed walking minutes away and food was good, but a bit overpriced

Was very clean and everything was excellent.
Probably only the touchiness of the water temperature but it’s not that bad.

Not much about this hotel. There was hair in the bathroom.
The bathroom was not that clean.

Location, friendliness of staff, room cleanliness
3.0 / 5.0
Comfortable and warm & reasonable kitchen facilities.
Ample parking, parking bays were narrow, not easy to reverse out and turn.
Security screen could not be locked. Bathroom needed updating.

The motel was located on a major roundabout with traffic being loud and noisy. Room number 5 had laundry delivered every morning between 6-6.30am. For 180 dollars a night the room was pokey and very small. We have stayed in other places where for less amount of money where the rooms were up to high standard and included breakfast in the mornings. There was mould in the bathroom and the bed was hard as a rock and nowhere to make a cup of tea or coffee. The only reason we stayed another night was it was close to the Ballina hospital where my partner had to have surgery. I would not recommend this motel and especially room 5 to anybody.
Everything.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. And the reason we stayed there was it is dog friendly - its biggest advantage. We had a room on the ground floor and added bonus of being able to park right outside.
It was expensive possibly because we were traveling during the peak holiday season but it cost us more than a 4-star hotel in the center of Sydney. There was a surcharge of $20 for our dog which is reasonable but there was also the threat of a $50 additional cleaning fee if we left any dirty dishes in the sink. Didn't give a friendly vibe.
Overall the place felt a bit daggy.

Great location, nice cafe attached with a yummy breakfast menu, clean small pool gets great sun, close to shops and food, easy parking, designated smoking area in the car park. nice little spots where you can sit in the courtyard and by the pool. The rooms have a safety chain lock up high on the inside of the doors a feature I really loved being with children and not having to be concerned about them opening the door, while I was in the shower ect.
Would have been great to have a pool lounge, the bathroom was very outdated but it was clean, the aircon was small and week and our room got all the afternoon sun so it was really hot and didn’t cool very well, it just couldn’t keep up with how hot the room was so I was glad we had a ceiling fan! I have stayed in other places for around the same price point and feel like you can get more for your money.
