Jungle and how quiet it is. Also there were a lot of howller monkeys 🙉 in the area. Breakfast was a great touch

Surrounded by nature, great room and facilities, friendly staff, great pool and loved the platform for yoga.
The location from the beach was longer than expected (still only 10-15 minutes).

sleeping in a former cargo container, equipped with a fan and air con, toilet, warm water shower, small fridge, safe - here you go. located up in the woods, nice garden, pool, yoga deck - that‘s it. don‘t expect a TV, accept there are ants and other small animals. and yes, the last 100 meters of the road to the Green Sanctuary are steep, dusty and come with some potholes. beach access is roughly 700m away. breakfast included one of 4 options (tipico, pancakes, eggs or omelette) , fruit plate, coffee, juice. bar area - fridge with some beer - no food options on site! know what you get/book and this place will make you very happy.

Staff was helpful and kind
Nice breakfast area and great plantation
A lot of bugs - they were all over the bathroom and bedroom. made it hard to sleep

very cozy. cool use of the containers as rooms. check in staff was lovely. rustic but charming.
really hard to find, buggier than. most places. the breakfast staff clearly did not want to make pancakes even though they were on the menu.
mostly it was the leaf blowing at 8:30 right outside my room for wayyy too long. I was sick from the 2stroke fumes and couldn’t wait to bounce. good way of getting people to check out.

I go there for work often, as I do weddings on the beach and have to go to Nosara maybe 8-10 times a year. Many times there's no room in Green Sanctuary because everyone loves it! But that's my to-go place in Nosara.

Peaceful and quiet, very jungly, yet close to surf and not too far from restaurants. It was easy to walk, bike to places, or get Tuktuks. All the guests were respectful and friendly as well as receptionists and owner.

Magical place

The breakfasts were great! The room was very comfortable, but I would have liked to have a desk and chair so I could work more easily. I did not use the pool, but it looked great! I used the yoga space for my practices - really nice touch. The staff was great. Very friendly and helpful!
A comfortable chair in the room would be a big plus. Also a desk and chair. There was a second bed in the room in addition to the queen size bed. It took up space that could have been used to make the room more comfortable.

Breakfast was delicious! Didn't use the pool. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and livable the room was considering it is a metal container converted into a room. The bed was super comfortable. I loved living in the jungle. The reception staff are fantastic. Hotel has an Airport Shuttle Service available even though it is at an extra charge.
I guess because it is Costa Rica, hotels feel they can charge whatever they like. I think Costa Rica in general is overpriced, that includes this hotel. Be sure to put all your lights off in the evening otherwise you will attract bugs into your room. The Rooms are unfortunately not sound proofed, so you can hear the neighbors. The breakfast police are a little bit strict about what you can and can't eat - for example - one day I asked if I could swap the banana for another fruit (I don't like banana) and was told that the Manager gets angry about stuff like that.

Small boutique jungle setting. Interesting array of wildlife and travelers - howlers to wake you up. Breakfasts very good - Coffee, fresh juice, fresh fruit and choice of eggs, pancakes, cheeses, breads etc. woman who cooked and served was lovely. Served in a outdoor room over looking pool and yoga platform. Wildlife there was abundant. And Fernando and staff helpful and friendly. All in all an enjoyable experience.
Well I did love the site/ location. For the price it was adequate, a good value. That said, some of items shown on web site were not there - towels were scarce, very old, thin. Bedding too - sheets were worn, pillows were lumpy - not down as advertised. Mattresses old, not very comfortable. No complimentary shampoo / lotion / soap as shown on site. Yoga mats and blocks were dirty.

We are in the jungle, which is what we had hoped.
Accomodations will be enjoyed by people wanting a quiet sanctuary experience.
Breakfast was satisfying great coffee.
Pool small but refreshing ..yoga floor was a treat for me.
Towel service
Again in jungle during rainy season.

This was not a stay it was a blessing. Surrounded by the pure, simple goodness of the best of divine creation. It was a privilege to be part of the community. Fer, breakfast chef, cleaning staff, doggies, and fellow travelers were the best amenities. The guidance to rent a 4x4, all wheel drive, or jeep and to only drive to the location in full day light are mandatory. Plenty of sunshine even in the rainy season. It truly is a sanctuary, a retreat from the usual and common. Come here to get lost in the lush of Costa Rica mountains and to find yourself in the restoration of Pura Vida.
I didn't like that i could not just stay for the rest of my life. There is not one complaint. Fer is responsive to any concerns. Good vibes.

Best part of our stay was the breakfast. You were able to order from a small breakfast menu. Fresh fruits, fruit juice and coffee included. For the money, it is worth the stay for sure.
Dirt road leading to the facility was really rough. Going up the hill with a car would be rough. Not a deal breaker, but no TV in the room. I was not bothered by it, but it may be a deal breaker for others.

super nice people! Great location, amazing jungle environment while close to services. Easy and close access to the beach.
Really nice rooms and it’s great to have a mini fridge and a small coffee maker.
Nice common area and pool as well.
Extra awesome that you can regularly see Howler Monkeys from your room or the common areas.

Breakfast staff were so friendly and accommodating, food was great as well.
Rocia (spelling?) checked us in and helped us throughout our whole stay, even helping us order dinner on two nights, she was awesome.
Pool was nice but needed a little bit of work, tiles were coming off at the bottom.
Great experience overall, would definitely stay here again.

Daily fresh fruit and smoothie excellent, lovely staff, great outlook.
Wifi not reaching the room I was in, maybe metal containers the issue. Lots of bugs in room but this is becaue it is in the middle of nature.

We loved Green Sanctuary Hotel! It provided us a quiet place to chill outside of busy Nosara. We loved their staff and special thanks to Rocio! She really cared for us and helped us align with surf lessons. The hotel owner Fernando helped me surprise my son with birthday cake for his Sweet 16 breakfast. Everything about this property met our expectations and the staff exceeded expectations. We are so grateful for the rest and care we had there. We lost pur vacation to Costa Rica in 2020 just days before we were supposed to depart. It's been a difficult couple years and Green Sanctuary gave us peace and rejuvenation. Thank you to Green Sanctuary!
We love this property!

Nice and available reception. The hotel has a pleasant swimming pool.
However, given the price, we would have appreciated a little more comfort in the room.

The rooms have everything you need. They are basic but confortable. The breakfast is nice but ends at 9, quite early.
the check out is excessively early 10:30. Although the staff didn’t gave us trouble for checking out a little later.
