The staff were helpful. The view from the balcony was lovely. Short walk to the centre.
The room and bathroom were very small. Breakfast was basic.

The location of the hotel is brilliant. We only took the car out of the garage to visit another lake in the area. The station and Stresa centre are a short walk away so is the lake. We swam in the lake and in five minutes we were back in the hotel. The shower and air conditioning and bidet were excellent. Room service was great.
The room is short on modern basics like bins and flat surfaces around the sink. As we went by car we had a lot of luggage but most had to stay in my case.
3.5
Close to train station and the town center and the lake. The room is clean and in good shape. There is a nostalgic feel to the hotel. Real art work in the hall.

great location, walking distance to everything but in a quiet area. nice room with a large bathroom and balcony

Hotel Boston is just up from the lakeside road, where you can park untimed and free this far from the busiest stretch. So there was no need to pay for the hotel carpark. Breakfast was plentiful, with some seating outside if the weather permits (though it didn't when we were there). Boats to the Borromean Islands were a short walk away. I booked admission to Isola Bella online for E20 each, and then signed up for their newsletter, whereupon I was given two more tickets free of charge so I wished I hadn't just paid 40 euro!
The weather, but it was only a 2 night stay so we were just unlucky! But the Palazzo on Isola Bella is amazing whatever the weather, and I did have good weather on my previous trip in 1958.

The fabulous breakfast! Lovely view from one room, not so from the other room. Lift was good. Convenient to railway and waterfront.
Rooms were a bit small.

Really good location. Close to the see and close to the train station. It is an old style hotel but everything was really well handled. breakfast with a lot of varieties
WiFi was bad and unstable
4.5
The staff were great, very kind and patient with a solo traveller who brought the wrong plug adapter and always wanted more tea and coffee! The view from the room was amazing and the room was clean and while not big, it was well worth the price.
A small kettle or coffee machine in the room would make it a 10.

Right by the like and 7min walk from the centre. The location is perfect. Very nice clear room with great view.

Decent location - only a short walk to bar’s restaurants etc
Room we were allocated was tiny, dark and depressing. Felt more like a cell than a hotel room Metal window shutters were dangerous! Wouldn’t stay up and almost took hand off!! Dark dingy and depressing hallways..
Upgraded to larger room on top floor but we were charged an extra 25€/night. No housekeeping service .. Out towels weren’t even changed, bin not emptied, loo roll not replenished.. we had to go to reception to request clean dry towels and loo roll!

location, parking, breakfast
One receptionist wasn’t very pleasant, very small rooms
3.0
Very Friendly staff
Very thin walls, you could even hear neigbooring rooms use the restroom, which generally meant that it was hard to sleep since there was always a lot of noise
4.5
Two balconies with view on the lake. staff at reception were helpful. we could leave our luggage on the last day.
The old lady at breakfast did not ask us if we wanted expressos or capuccinos. But she did ask her italian cronies. The coffee at the buffet was very weak, I think they were counting the beans.

I liked the location, close to the promenade along the Lake Magiore, but not right in the town
The fact that we had a hard time getting the wifi connection in our room. We had to go down to the lobby or in a hallway. That was somewhat inconvenient. Breakfast was not included and was expensive.

location perfect
no fridge in the room, cold drinks would have been nice

1/4 breakfast most of food did run out already before all quests joined the breakfast
