The hotel and rooms are absolutely beautiful, the staff were helpful and incredibly friendly. We had an amazing time. Everything from check in to check out was perfect and I could not fault Asterion at all!
The pool area in particular and the ability to order drinks to sunbeds was just amazing, the food was always delicious from both restaurants and the service was impeccable throughout. The stay exceeded all our expectations! We definitely cannot wait to come back, you would be hard pressed to find a better all inclusive hotel. Thank you!

The hospitality of the hotel staff was very warm and helpful. It feels they did a lot to make our stay pleasant, both at the hotel and also in crete.
not enough light for reading in the bed.

The location of Asterion Suites & Spa is very special and really a small paradise in Crete. The personell is super friendly and absolutely professional. The manager George is a very special character that made the stay a real perfection. We had a suite with a private pool and everything there was first class, super clean, excellently equipped and stood out all expectations. The cuisine is first class too. And finally every staff member was super friendly, the pool bar is superior and the personell there is extra ordinary and the close distance to the sea is just all in all a fantastic place and we will certainly come back.
Nothing! There is really nothing to be improved as everything was just so perfect.

Everything! Amazing friendly staff, excellent food offering, beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and very comfortable beds!
Nothing really- the only thing is the location as if you wanted to explore only by foot it is limited but if you hire a car or bikes there are places easily in reach!

Breakfast is good
Room are clean and fine

Most of the rooms don't have sea view
Music can be too loud sometime and too much (pool area, restaurant...)

The staff, the property, the pool, the breakfast, and the suite were all terrific. We were able to easily drive to explore that Chania region and area. The view from our room was fantastic. It was quiet, calm and relaxing at the book each day.
We wouldn't change anything at the resort - however the beach is rocky rather than sandy but we found wonderful beaches withing a reasonable drive.

We decided to spend our holiday In Crete as we were longing for the sea and some days of relaxation. The staff here are very nice and helpful, always ready to attend to your every need. We felt like we were welcomed in a big family and everywhere, from breakfast to the pool, to the restaurants or on the beach everyone was super nice. Now the technical part: the rooms are very beautifully designed, the bed is a dream to sleep in, and the view of the sea, for us, was the magic we were looking for. The beach is right in front of the hotel, the beach towels are provided, the water is nice, but I would recommend some watershoes. I noticed it is a very quiet place and there are no loud bars nearby. The manager helped us celebrate important moments for us and was extremely nice and friendly(how I imagined Greek hospitality would be). We enjoyed a day at the spa - the deep tissue massage was great and the facial one really relaxing. Everything you need to feel welcomed, relaxed and taken care of is in this place.

clean and breakfast was the best part
we thought this was going to be a relaxing beach resort. it was not. the water quality was horrible and rough. couldn’t even enjoy the beach and the pool was extremely crowded. no chairs available. we used it as a place to sleep and drove to other beaches but for the price it was definitely not worth it. most disappointing part of our vacay

the staff was nice, the rooms where clean, the service was excellent.
the price was crazy high. it could have at least included dinner.
we ordered multiple rooms and called a few weeks in advance to ask to be in one complex. however, one of the rooms had to be placed somewhere else.

Exceptional boutique hotel, designed with care and good taste.
Staff were very polite and helpful.
The room is very comfortable and clean.
The pool is amazing.
Wonderful experience overall!
Food by the pool was great.
Breakfast is delicious and very carefully presented.
Amaryllides restaurant next to the hotel is very good value.
Not a criticism of the hotel, but the sea opposite the hotel is not inviting.
Hire a car as the location is a little remote.

Our group consisted of two couples with one kid under 2yrs each. I was losing hope I would find accommodations for our family in Chania outside the big resort style, which just isn't for me. I dislike crowds, buffet lines, and I need some quiet in order to properly rest. Not to mentioned I've experienced food to be just average even in fancy hotels when opted for all-inclusive. But that’s just me though.
Anyway, this time I focused on smaller boutique hotels with great food reviews THAT WOULD ACCEPT KIDS UNDER 12 (a rare occurrence nowadays), and Asterion quickly became my top choice. Now that my holiday is sadly over, I have never been happier for following my instincts about this place, and convincing our friends to do the same. Asterion and its staff were absolutely FANTASTIC. It was everything I hoped for.
The beach is beautiful with great sunbeds waiting for you. The pool was always full, and yet, never loud. There were other toddlers there and some older kids, but no one was running wild or splashing water everywhere. There was a very chilled vibe all around. The kiddie pool is perfect for little ones.
The breakfast…I mean, probably the best I’ve ever had…? I wish I could have brought home a bucket of their yogurt. The fresh bread was amazing, the cream pie to die for. Also, we had dinner and lunch at their restaurant quite a few times and it was always excellent. Same for the cocktails mixed by the pool.
Away from the crowds, this hotel is not completely isolated. There are two mini markets walking distance, where we got milk and snacks for our kids. One excellent restaurant to the right, with great grilled seafood (especially the squid) and lamb. To the left, a beach bar with great options for kids (pizza, pasta) and a lovely shaded yard that they could run around. And a few other places a short walk away.

We took a day trip to the old town once and went to Platanias for dinner once (Asterion’s restaurant recommendation and they made the reservation for us. It was amazing).
One day, while our toddlers were napping, my other mom friend and I went for a body scrub at the spa. Another great experience! Marianne, the head of the spa was amazing and I felt completely relaxed with glowing, moisturized skin afterwards. The gym is not that big, enough for weight lifting and some light cardio, although most people would just go running on this beautiful beach boulevard outside.
The staff was always kind and went the extra mile to be helpful. They all played with our kids, it never felt like they were an imposition. So many small acts of kindness that is hard to list them all: I got complimentary tea and yogurt one day because I had a little stomachache. They got their maintenance staff to fix my friends’ jammed stroller. They allowed us to take a shower after check out so we could enjoy the pool one more day before catching our evening flight.
The manager, always smiling and outgoing, was there to welcome us when we arrived, and would always check on us, on our needs.
AMAZING experience overall. I wish I could book my stay for next summer already.
(small downsides: the rooms are amazing and spacious, but for a beach hotel it lacked multiple hooks for towels/bathing suits in the bathroom, inside shower room, and even balcony - although there is a towel rack there. Hooks on the beach umbrellas as well would be nice. I would also add mani/pedi treatments to the spa menu if possible, again, being a beach spa and all. Oh, and nothing crazy, but the lunch service would take a little longer than expected when crowded. Finally, it would have been nice to have a night swim at the pool, but I understand safety comes first and since there are no life guards during the night, they asked us not to. Hmm, that's it on the "negatives" I think).

The staff were incredibly helpful and all so friendly. They were lovely with our daughter, Darcy. We had our own pool, which worked great with a baby. The food was great!

Great location, close to Chania, but secluded enough to have a private beach. Close enough to some of the nicest beaches in Crete. Swim from the terrace of your room, great breakfast and overall restaurant.

Brand new hotel, nice location on the beach, away from the noise, in a quiet ans peaceful area.
tavernas and small supermarkets at walking distance. we were in the premium galaxy room, with private pool. The room is like a small apartment, with simple decoration. The area of the common swimming pool and restaurant is really beautiful, with nice wooden furniture and stones everywhere. staff is extremely nice, whether it is at the restaurant, or reception, the cleaning ladies or the swimming pool staff. We were offered twice a bottle of Prosecco!
For the price, I was expecting something more exclusive in the room decoration or private swimming pool furniture (chairs were from IKEA). The sun mattress is on the floor, I would have expected a proper sunbed, and the possibility to have a shade. In the afternoon, the sun is really strong and there is no shade on the room terrasse. as the hotel is new, the plants are not high enough yet to give more intimacy at the private swimming pool.

An excellent hotel with exceptional facilities and superb cocktails and food. There was a wide range of choices for breakfast with the option to have your own freshly made omelette/eggs. The family room was one of the most spacious family rooms we have stayed in with a lovely side sea view. There were high standards of cleanness maintained throughout the hotel with an amazing swimming pool area and bar. The beach in front of the hotel is also great and serene, offering free sunbeds and umbrellas of high quality. The hotel is perfectly situated if you are visiting Chania as it is a close distance to the city (30 minute drive) and about a 40-minute drive from one of the best beaches of the island, Falasarna. For us what made a real difference was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone welcoming us with a big smile from the managers, Mr Giorgos, Mr Kostas to members of staff like Christos, Manolis, Rafael, Katerina and so many more! They all welcomed us like family and made sure we were enjoying and being looked after throughout our stay! They even made a birthday cake for our daughter’s 9th birthday. Really we could not have asked for more! Best stay ever and looking forward to going back soon!

Looking forward to my next stay there!
Lovely, recently opened hotel with private beach. Staff is very considerate and attentive and I really felt like they were taking good care of all guests.
My room was spacious with lovely private terrace and pool. Bed was super comfy.
Good quality food with wonderful choices
- no hanger for towel next to the shower
- mini bar was not restocked for 2 days, even after i complained about it
- would be nice to have a menu specifying what is included in All in
- in the middle of nowhere (developing area) so quiet and peaceful
- it is bit pricey, but quality you get for it is really worth it

I had one of the most memorable stays at Asterion! The hotel is beautiful, clean and food is lovely. The people who work there are amazing and go above and beyond to make you feel at home, I just couldn’t recommend staying there enough!

Amazing breakfast.
Nice location not too far from Chania and on the road to Elafonisi.
Very relaxing and comfortable.
The staff is very kind and helpful.

Room/suite and private pool were good, ideal for what we needed at the start of our holiday, it was a quiet location if a little remote. Breakfast was good, a decent selection with it all tasting fresh. Staff were friendly and helpful.
We expected a higher end hotel given the price we paid (£400 per night for a suite), other than breakfast we only had a light lunch (on arrival) which was pretty poor and not what we expected. The location is fine but the whole area felt as if they were/are expecting more hotels to be built around it, this leaves you with limited places to eat/drink when it comes to lunch and dinner (we don't like to eat in hotels for anything other than breakfast).
