I did not like the DIY approach to checking in. The reference number was wrong although it was quickly sorted out with the office by phone.
The room was very small and it was not really possible to use the kitchen for breakfast as it was busy.

Very central place. The room has everything you might need and the views towards the sea are stunning!

Nice small twin en-suite upstairs room in a large building in a quiet neighbourhood. About a 10 minute walk from St Ive town.
Room is quite basic with two single beds pushed together, a little high to climb into, but very comfy. Duvet, bed sheet and pillows provided. Hand and bath towels provided for both guests. A small coat rack with one low shelf for hanging clothes and for placing bags. round metal table on each side of bed. Kettle and tea/coffee with milk and sugar included in room for free. Good speed, free WiFi in room.
En-suite bathroom is reasonable size with good large shower, toilet with toilet paper and sink with hand soap and shower jell provided for free. Small bin and bathroom, small bin in room.
Plug sockets on each side of beds. 5 hooks on wall near door to hang more coates/clothes. Window in bathroom and in room. Room window has blinds that can be opened and closed. Key code to enter building and room.
Building and area feels secure.
Key code info and WiFi info sent via email 24 ours before check-in. Good info about property and how to contact owners if any problems. Downstairs communal kitchen available, shared by all guests. Has cooker, microwave etc. Small lounge on ground floor with comfy seats, maybe a TV. Parking maybe available on street or in car park, not sure. St Ive train station is a 5 minute drive..
No lift/elevator to first floor. No chairs in room. Beds a little high to get into. One single double bed would have been better than two large single beds. Room a little crampped for 2 people.
Room is too expensive. No breakfast options, either included or paid breakfast. Shops/supermarket maybe nearby.

It was very clean, inc communal areas..Toiletries
were very good ..lovely fragrance.Parking is big plus and car park was ptetty empty, so was mu ch appreciated.
When we entered the lane, a large pizza van was parked and we barely managed to squeeze our car through, without damaging car on the rough wood of the hedge. The bathroom was ridiculously tiny and uncomfortable, it was highly irritating and difficult to navigate, as you don't even have space to put a bath mat down as you can't open the door,. Not enough space to put make up bag, washbag,no toothbrush/ cup. Only space was a smal ledge over toilet and was worried thingswould fall in.Could have wall mounted hand soap to make a little more room, rather than puttiing it on sink? The room.itself was not big and we were getting in each others way a lot, single file only to walk past bed.
The location was quite good but the steep hill to town was a 25% gradient & was very difficult as I have an achilles injury, & I don't recall seeing a warning about that.
The bed itself was comfortable but pillows were inferior quality & very soft.
The wooden slatted blinds were not sufficient to block out light, so we were woken very early each day.The close proximity & view of the unkempt garden of a nearby resident was overgrown, broken fences etc was not pleasing.to look at..Outof your control of course, but maybe some screening in garden area...for their privacy and to look nicer for customers?

Comfortable bed, good shower, very clean and kitchen and services very well provided.
Paul, who came to investigate complaints was pleasant and helpful but did not succeed with TV. We cpoed
No toilet paper, TV was a pain and not up to say Premier Inn standards .Only one chair in bedroom, and finally "sea view" is exaggerated. the weather was disappointing.

The Nook was spotless. My room had everything I needed - bed, shower, kettle. What I hadn't anticipated was the fabulous kitchen with everything one could need to prepare a meal, plus lovely table and bench. Also a washing machine! Small comfortable lounge area.
The company were very accommodating and informative in enabling us to leave our luggage (a bit of an issue in St. Ives - the Visitor Info office charges £6 per item and doesn't have great opening hours).
Plenty of car parking space which I imagine can also be an issue in St. Ives.
A fairly short walk into the town centre and the Tate.
Should I return to St. Ives I would 100% use the Nook again before looking at any other options

Clean, comfortable, welcoming. Quiet and could hear an owl each night.
The extra facilities in the kitchen were fantastic. Lots of extra touches like the well equipped kitchen
We didn't stay long enough

Lovely modern premises with everything you need. Excellent WiFi speed and very clean throughout. Although no staff on site communication was excellent by text message. We will stay here again should we revisit St Ives.
Modern, clean and has everything you need. Parking on site was excellent considering how busy St Ives can get. I saw this a major plus.

All good... Clean and tidy... Good location... Parking plenty... Nice garden...
TV was un-programmed... Tried to get it working but failed miserably and just ended up going round in circles so gave up... No instructions other than on TV which didn't work.... Luckily we are able to make our own entertainment!.... Pain if you have kids though...

it was clean and modern. Bed was comfortable and nice en-suite. Easy access in and out of the property with personal code. Good off street parking.
There was no storage whatsoever in our room. The built in wardrobe was useless as the pole was not attached but propped up the wall. I had to live out of my suitcase for my 3 night stay causing my clothes to crease. Also it was a bit deceptive regarding the fridge as it was based in the kitchen which was a communal area.

Simple but all I needed, decent tv/bathroom and comfy bed with plenty storage
room was warm on arrival
towards end of the stay the heating wasn’t working

Rooms themselves were nice.
It was freezing cold. The first night was one of the coldest nights of the year and the heating had broken. For our second night a small portable heater was put in our room but it didn't warm up sufficiently. The shower ran at a trickle - not what we wanted at all after such a cold nights sleep. Overall we really regretted booking the Nook and certainly wouldn't visit again.

warm welcome and considerate care of temperature cold inside room and complimentarily offer a warmer machine into the room
too small room and the bathroom, especially too tight for a couple to live and use. In addition, the bath booth is NOT looking clean for the shower head looked ugly possibly because it worn many years. The shower head water come out with very thin amount so that I could not wash the whole body quickly

I was in room 13 The heating came on at strange times it was very cold at crucial times ...morning and evening it didnt come on .. the power shower was awful no pressure at all and it went from cold to scorching hot every so often ...had to have baths

Clean comfortable bed. Great views. Mini fridge was helpful. Free Wi-Fi. Parking on site.
The room is described as “deluxe”. I am not sure what you think makes in deserve that label. A nice picture on the wall and a knitted cushion on the bed? Feel like we were ripped off to be honest. Dent in the wall, rusty metalwork in bathroom, crappy little yellowing plastic shower heater unit, cobwebs in radiators. The door entry system was incredibly annoying, didn’t always work. Alarm went off a few times on it. Another guest told us what to do about it so they’d obviously had same problem. You asked to rate the staff - what staff? You operate an online only service so it’s not possible to talk to anyone (I tried).

very good location. clean modern rooms - easy coded doors to get into the e property so there is no hassle with check in. free parking.
not really a fault but there was a crack on the bathroom tile in our room which could cause a little harm if it worsens!

further up the hill than I had imagined, no views

Good location, just a ten minute walk from the waterfront. Free parking. Very clean. Excellent communication from the proprietors. It feels very safe and well run. A very nice touch was finding that milk, biscuits and fruit juice had been left for us.
Nothing we didn’t like.

The decor was pleasant.
The location was not to far out of town, luckily we enjoy walking however it's a very steep hill to climb from town and would be difficult for some people.
The room was basic but appeared inviting however on closer inspection the cleaning was not fantastic with the radiators full of thick black clumps of dirt. I only noticed as I placed my birthday cards on the window sill. It wasn't pleasant.
On the third evening we had a leak in the ceiling from the room above. After calling the advised number it was clear this was an ongoing issue. When looking at the ceiling you can see various cracks etc which when asked where the leak was in the ceiling it was obvious that this wasn't the only issue that had occured with this room.
There was no alternative room offered and we were left to try and sleep with constant dripping during the night. We were advised a plumber would visit the following day. This was the day we were due to check out.
We never received a follow up call, an apology, any goodwill gesture or refund. It was very disappointing.
