Really nice room with super high ceiling in a wonderful historic building. Furniture and decoration very nicely fitting. Great housekeeping every day. Breakfast has been served in the cafe in the ground floor, allowing us maximum flexibility to have breakfast between 7 am and 1 pm.

Maria Luisa was an excellent hostess. Welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Car park pass enables parking on a piazza or street conveniently nearby. The property is full of character but has all the modern facilities, everything you could wish for. Loved the tea selection and the bath especially! Location couldn't be better. Restaurant downstairs is excellent but closed Sundays.
I was happy with every aspect of my stay.

We were kindly given a breakfast voucher for the bar downstairs.
There is a mini fridge.
Newly renovated bathroom.
The air conditioning unit worked well.
Great location and parking permit available for the car.
The apartment has a lot of character.
The air conditioning unit started making a loud banging noise in the middle of the night.
The apartment lock was falling apart and needs replacing.

Location, location, location
Nice but slightly decadent (what used to be an hotel is now more a B&B)

A great location in the heart of the town, and unique historic quirky furniture . Nice staff/owners. We found a car park on the street nearby and they gave us a permit pass to put in the car for the night which was good.
We were a bit confused why the furniture was quite a bit different from the advertised room images for our deluxe room. the dresser, plants, sofa, rugs we saw in the photos were all missing - instead two odd looking dated armchairs side by side that felt not stylish as the photos looked and more like a waiting room. The shower head also was not really good and needs updating to have proper pressure. The main reception entrance also now very different from the photos on Booking.com and looked not refined and quite messy with a strange cat climber in the entrance. We asked why the photos on Booking.com were so different and we got the reply "oh they are old photos" ?... But quite importantly - if you cannot lift your own suitcases two levels up or have a disability you will have issues as they have no working lift (and from other people reviewing, this seems to be a problem not being fixed). So maybe check this before you stay if this is a problem for you. Whilst the son who was very lovely helped us up the stairs upon checkin, we had no help getting down when we left. Breakfast very simple and offered next door at the cafe (lovely staff though at the cafe and nice to sit in the plaza, but one pastry item and coffee and orange juice only). Whilst lovely staff, location excellent, and quirky old decor we felt the value for money was not really matching our expectations for the cost and the advertised photos displayed for this property

Try to get the octagonal room if you can. It really is great.

beautiful building, excellent location
very noisy on a night, like trying to sleep in a nightclub

The location was excellent. We did not expect breakfasts but were given free pastry and coffee at a cafeteria nearby.
When we were going to a beach, the receptionist provided us a parasol and towels.
The promotional photo provided by Booking.com showed a colorful room with classic furniture, but our room was more subdued. I liked the authenticity of an old palace, however, where the owner's family still live.

Memorable place to stay. Cappolavoro.
A monument of architecture. Amazing surprise.
Great breakfast, even frugal, but very convenient and excellent quality.

Exceptional room, very friendly staff
Our room was noisy at night but I guess this is sth you can expect when you live directly at the main square.

The location, right at the center
The beautiful historical building
The overall location was messy, the kitchen was definitely not clean and even smelly. Our room was directly overlooking the terrace of a restaurant, we could not sleep before 1am. We got a 9.90 euro reduction when mentioning it in the morning…
