About this chalet rental
Our cosy and comfortable two bedroom property has a contemporary feel and is on the top coastal path in a peaceful cul-de-sac near Mumbles Cricket Club. You can walk to the nearest beach or drive in just a few minutes.
Our chalet is single storey and modernly furnished. It has its own parking space (for two medium sized cars) and private garden with lockable shed. Plus we have books, games, WiFi and a smart TV to keep you occupied when you’re indoors.
It has a good-sized living room with sofa, two bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom with shower. Outside there is a small decked/gravel garden (at the back) and grassed area (at the front). Please note that the back garden is not enclosed for young children.
There is free parking for two vehicles.
It’s ideal for couples and families (ideally 2 - 5 people). There are two bedrooms which each have a wardrobe. The first bedroom has a small double bed (122 x 190cm), two bedside tables and mirror. The second bedroom has a triple sleeper bed (small double bed 122 x 190cm on the bottom and a single bed 91 x 190cm on top) and mirror. The second bedroom leads to the back garden.
It's the perfect base to explore the Gower. Within a two minute walk you'll be on the top of a cliff overlooking the sea and at the top coastal path. Within a ten minute walk you can reach either Limeslade Bay or Bracelet Bay. The pier and the fishing village of Mumbles is also walkable. Alternatively you can walk in the other direction onto Rotherslade then onto Langland Bay (popular with surfers and families) and Caswell Bay (via cafes with homemade cakes and blankets if it’s chilly, or ice cream if it’s hot).
Alternatively it's a stroll into the thriving Mumbles with a great variety of shops, cafes, wine bars, pubs and restaurants. Ice cream parlours are dotted along the promenade and during high season the land train chugs along the sea front transporting people to and from Blackpill Lido and Swansea.
Whether you like retail therapy, water sports, walking or simply relaxing, it's the perfect base to be out and about to explore the Mumbles, Swansea and the Gower.
Please note that linen isn't included however it is an optional extra to rent linen if you need it. It is £22 per bed which includes a big and a small towel per guest, bath mat and a tea towel. On booking, please specify that this is required.

Wonderful property in an incredible location. The host was super helpful. Highly recommend

Property in a great location. Quite a hilly journey to beach and coast on foot but easily accessed. Clean, comfortable and everything you need for a short holiday. We used as a base to play links golf across south wales.

Smelled musty, trouble with damp, woodlice in bathroom . Couldn't open window in 1st bedroom even though i unlocked it. Had to provide bed covers. Duvet, pillows stained. Host allowed early entry & late departure. For the money it was poor value.

We stayed here for a few days over Christmas and were delighted with this little chalet! It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.
The water pressure in the shower was exceptional! (shower, therefore, could perhaps do with a heavier curtain though as the water comes out so powerfully), the beds were comfortable, the WiFi was fast and everything worked with no issues at all. Couldn’t be happier!
I had excellent communication with Ruth at every stage, which was wonderful. We wouldn’t hesitate to rebook in the future 😊

Perfect escape for a few days away excellently located to visit the Gower peninsula

Thoroughly enjoyable short break at Ruth’s lovely holiday cottage.
Beautifully decorated, the accommodation had everything you need and much more besides.
Location is just perfect for walking and touring the stunning Gower Peninsula.
Ruth was most helpful throughout the whole booking process.
Will definitely make a return visit.

Great location and good parking spot - we got 2 small/medium cars in with no problem. The chalet is not huge but extrememly well equipped with everything we needed for our short break. (Our 6ft2" son was absolutely fine with room and bed size etc!) The property owner was excellent with communication and we really appreciated her flexibilty with the entry and leaving times. We will definitely stay again. Thanks

Lovely cottage.

This place is small and perfectly formed! It has everything you need to self cater and the beds were fairly comfortable. The kitchen cupboards were not clean when we arrived - there was even hair in one of them - but that is our only negative. It’s almost on the coastal path which really is amazing and the little cul-de-sac has a lovely feel to it with very friendly neighbours. Communication with Ruth was top notch - thank you, we hope to be back.

Exactly what we needed to explore the area. Comfy beds, Wi-Fi, TV, a well equipped kitchen, a parking space and a private deck at the back. All within two minutes of the cliff tops and sight and sound of the sea.

We had beautiful weather while there although last morning there we got up to a very heavy sea mist.
The chalet was quite comfortable just a few issues like having to take own bed linen and towels,
Toilet seat abit loose, quite a high step up to the shower and grab handles for safety
The kitchen is well appointed except didn't like the plastic cutlery otherwise we enjoyed our stay went too quickly.

This was the perfect retreat for our family. Easy walking distance to an array of beaches, restaurants and other facilities.
Clean, no frills, but absolutely meeting our needs. We loved our time here, and would not hesitate to rebook.

Very clean and very functional property. Ideally located for beaches, The Mumbles and coastal walks. Quiet location too. The host was very informative before we arrived. We would definitely like to return.

Great property with everything you need for a short stay. Easy to get to and in the heart of some of the most epic coastline anywhere. Easy access to cliffside paths and walking distance from a choice of great beaches. Also handy for Mumbles for shops, pubs and (of course) Joe's Ice Cream.

A quiete stay, closed to the coast path; a typical small british cottage.

Very nice 🤙

The house was easy to find and the parking space was quite wide! The property itself was very clean and was spacious. Would definitely recommend bringing things like your own tea towls and spices if you're going to be eating in! The bed was very comfortable and the shower had amazing water pressure but definitely bring a bath mat!
When you step out of the property you can actually hear the sea! The location is fantastic and the neighbours are kind and friendly (many of them have dogs so that's a bonus!)

The property was situated on a very quiet road close to beautiful coastal walks and beaches. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this property. Thank you very much .

Great find, clean, stylish, well equipped, quiet, WiFi & parking. We were a party of 3 adults and a toddler and there was plenty of space in the chalet. Would definitely recommend a stay here as central to getting to the Gower, Swansea and great beaches.

Lovely little place to stay in an excellent location. Lovely to walk into Mumbles and round the cliff path to Limeslade and Langland.
I was a little surprised at the extra charge for the beds to be made up as I hadn’t come across that before. Always a little bit annoying when there’s no soap in the bathroom too. Apart from that it was great.

There were 4 of us staying in the property. The kitchen was well equipped. The seating and beds were comfortable. Would have been a little tight if we’d used the table, but it was perfect for our couple of days away.

Beautiful location
The Oceanside view was epic. The accommodations were great and we had no issue’s whatsoever.
Mumbles, we enjoyed the entire ocean front cafes and piers. Just a majestic place to visit.

We really enjoyed out stay in the Mumbles. The property was in a great location (approx 15 mins walk into the centre of the town - uphill on the way back). It was very neat, the bed was comfy and though we didn’t use the kitchen much, it was fully functional. Ruth the host was easy to contact and sends you all the information of what to bring. Would definitely recommend for people wanting a flexible base, we thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay.
