This home is such a wonderful home base for seeing everything that the Point Reyes National Seashore has to offer. We have come here multiple times with our kids and it's a trip they look forward to every year. Could not recommend this rental more!

This was our second visit, and like our first visit 2 years ago, the property was just perfect for us. We're a family of four with kids aged 7 and 5.
I can't speak highly enough of the management and property. We're looking forward to our next future visit.

Great house close to town (Point Reyes Station), so can easily walk to town for coffee, restaurants, shops. Located on a quiet lane, so quiet and peaceful.
House was comfy, cozy and a lot of fun to stay at, plus a great place to stay close to Point Reyes National Seashore (was there doing research with NPS and UC).
Highly recommend!

And extremely comfortable home, very clean and centrally located. As someone who grew up in Pt. Reyes, I felt right at home! The home was exactly as advertised and is very high quality, especially for he price!

We can’t believe how lucky we were to find a wonderful spacious house right in Point Reyes station . This tiny town boasted so many delicacies, and has so much charm that we were reluctant to leave. However, we made daily outings especially to Bear Valley Trail, which was only a seven minute drive away. We were also able to visit a number of old friends who lived in the Mill Valley and Dominican area by driving through more beautiful scenery. I I know you’ll enjoy it if you go. I plan to be back as soon as possible.

We had a fantastic stay in this home. The house is great for kids with many toys and games. It had everything we needed for the kitchen and for trips to the beach. The property is in walking distance to the shops and restaurants and close to many parks.
Steve is a fantastic host- he went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

We've been coming to this home for a few years and still can't get over its coziness and location. The owner is extremely helpful -- he goes above and beyond in responding to questions. Highly recommend this spot!

I have stayed at this property with my family three times and it always meets our expectations. It's a comfortable 3-bedroom house within walking distance of Pt. Reyes Station, and a quick drive to local trails and attractions. Steve does a nice job of communicating clearly and consistently. We will continue to stay here as long as it's a VRBO!

Cozy Point Reyes Cottage
The owner is fantastic.
The home was clean. However, there seemed to be a little too many unnecessary items kept on the property. Too many of what I would say unnecessary utensils, pots and pans. I would have liked to see that the property had been exterminated. Many bugs and spiders. I have stay in many resorts and rentals. 4 and 5 star places. This property seemed to not have as much attention to detail. Almost as if this was their first property and they may have just moved out.
I enjoyed the area. Would I stay at this particular property again...not sure.

Relaxing Stay in Point Reyes
This is a delightful little house in a charming town. It is on the edge of town and an easy walk, and yet was so quiet. Lovely surroundings of fields and hills.
This was a great stay for two older couples and a twenty-something over a holiday weekend. The upstairs and downstairs bedrooms are neat and clean with comfortable mattresses. The wifi signal is strong, a plus since there were no bars on our phones most of the time in this area. Quality restaurant, bakery and grocery steps from the house.
The host was very helpful, answering any questions quickly.

Wonderful Stay!
We spent 5 weeks at Steve's place and it was absolutely fabulous! The house is beautiful, comfortable, and well-equipped with wonderful views from every window. Even though we were only a few blocks from downtown, we felt like we were staying in the country. The location was super convenient to all the stores, restaurants, farmer's markets, etc. The kitchen has everything you need and the place is incredibly organized with 2 big welcome binders, all the spices labeled, and a huge, indexed dvd collection. There's also a closet full of children's toys and games. Steve was very communicative, flexible and accommodating. We would highly recommend this place!

Family getaway
We had a very enjoyable week in this wonderful house. The house is very comfortable and feels like a home away from home. The location was perfect for exploring Point Reyes. We also enjoyed the well appointed kitchen for cooking all our meals. An added plus was the excellent Wifi. We will definitely come back!

Fabulous location but house has a few things to be desired
The house is in an excellent location to the town and Point Reyes and Tomales Bay are stunning. We also liked and definitely used the toys in the house! Steven seemed friendly but we didn’t interact with him much.
The house itself could use a deep clean and some updating. The majority if not all of the window screens in the house were damaged and/or had holes in them making it hard to open windows to cool down the house at night (bugs would come in). This was an issue since the house does not have A/C.
The house was also dusty. We wanted to use the fan that was in one of the bedrooms but it was covered - and I mean covered - in dust. Also, all the bathroom fans in the ceiling and air ventilation openings through the house were covered in years-old cobwebs and dust.
Perhaps the kitchen was the worst. We had planned to cook a little while there, but it was too dirty to do so. The silverware tray had a ton of crumbs in it, the fridge and freezer were dirty and some of the spices in the kitchen had an expiry date of 2016 to give a few examples.
I think all of these things can somewhat easily be fixed and we’d love to stay again if so.

A gem in Point Reyes
We stayed in this home before a few years ago and it was the perfect place to return to for a summer vacation. The location is convenient and the house is spacious for a family of four. There's a small playground structure across the street and toys in the lower bedroom. Our kids loved it and so did we. We're looking forward to coming back again soon.

Delightful home close to shops and cafes
This home is perfect for adults and children. Quiet street so kids could play in front yard while adults visited in a cozy front porch. Easy walk to everything.

Great place to stay while visiting Point Reyes
Really nice house a couple of mins walk from all the shops (particularly pastries/coffee and the great book shop). Excellent access to Point Reyes National Seashore. Perfect for cycling in the area - including great gravel rides in the Seashore. Really helpful owner and a great family vibe in the house. Looking forward to coming back for more fantastic bike rides and trips to the beach (bring a paddleboard).

Lovely Property With A Few Drawbacks
This is a lovely house just outside the main business district in Point Reyes Station, CA. We had a hard time checking in--couldn't open the lockbox containing the key, the owner didn't return my call, and terrible cellular coverage didn't help. We got the lockbox open on accident.
The furnishings and fixtures were in very good shape, with only minor signs of wear. The AV set-up was great, and the wi-fi was steady with no signal issues.
We had minor problems turning on the gas—I think the instructions in the guest handbook might have it backward. Once inside the biggest issue as far as my family was concerned was the lack of microwave in the cozy kitchen. To be fair it wasn’t listed as an amenity, but the kitchen is described as “fully equipped.” No kitchen in 2021 is fully equipped without a microwave. It’s just not.
My family brought a lot of meals we cooked ahead of time with us, with no plans to eat out. My son has a severe food allergy, so that’s just not the option for us. No microwave made it much harder to warm up the meals we’d pre prepared.
Other complaints are strictly minor and easily remedied, but guests are instructed to take the trash and recycle to outside cans and outside cans to the curb on the appropriate days. All well and good, but there were no bin liners provided to put in the inside can, which was too small to hold more than a day’s worth of garbage—my family cooked all three meals each day rather than eating out (that food allergy…). Likewise there was barely enough dishwasher detergent for the week my family and I stayed. When the guest instructions indicate we’re to use the supplies provided, there should be adequate supplies, yes?
This is not meant to frighten anyone off—this is a great property in an excellent location near the California coast. Your priorities may not be mine. Beware the lockbox. There is no microwave in a kitchen described as “fully equipped.” Bring your own kitchen supplies like dishwasher detergent and bin liners if you plan to cook. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the quiet, the scenery, and the hiking along Point Reyes. It really can’t be beat.

Lovely house with everything needed for a perfect stay. Beautiful comfy bedrooms, and great office space & WiFi for the grandkids to log in to college classes and work meetings. A quick (daily!) walk to the wonderful bakery as well as restaurants, top notch grocery store and shops. Short drive to beaches and hikes and lots of interesting and historical sites. Spent ten nights and wish we could have stayed longer. Hope to return soon. Jeanne and Bob, Sacramento

Comfort with Amenities of Home
This home was exactly what we wanted for a week of rest and relaxation. It is walking distance from Point Reyes Station--a quaint and artful town and very close the National Seashore. The weather was on the cool side but we stayed warm nonetheless. Location does really matter and this location speaks for itself in terms of natural beauty and the comfort of a home away from home.

Amazing Property Right In Town!
We enjoyed our stay here enormously. The house is small and cozy and very well appointed. The couch is the most comfortable in any rental property we've ever stayed at, all the bedroom have blackout shades (super important!), and the location is just amazing. walk t town in the morning to get coffee and baked goods, enjoy the hikes in Point Reyes National Seashore, go horseback riding, order dinner- all within at the most 30 minutes drive or 10 minutes walk! We LOVED our stay and we will be back. Steven is a great homeowner and the small hiccups we encountered at checkin were smoothed promptly. Highly recommend it.

Great place to work remotely
My husband and I plus another couple needed a change of scenery working from home so we rented this property which turned out to be the perfect getaway. Three of us were spread out and able to conduct Zoom calls and set up temporary offices. We took breaks and walked to nearby shops and grocery store. We took bike rides and went hiking. It was a great mix of work and pleasure and the house was perfect for that.

Lovely country remote work and get away
What a lovely home! Your Point Reyes home provided the peacefulness and calm that we all so desperately needed. The location was perfect for short walks to the bakery for breakfast, the store for groceries, and easy access to hikes in the park. The WiFi was fast enough for all four of us to simultaneously work and school remotely. Extra special thanks for the birthday bouquet, candles, and wine. The singing candle will become a new tradition. We’ll be coming back.

Great little getaway
We stayed at what we called “the blue house” for 16 days to get a break from the city during shelter in place. We used the grill almost every night and loved the front porch best, bird watching and enjoying the cooler air. It was a great location just a few blocks from downtown stores and we loved the close by adventures to various beaches.
