Excellent location. Easy check in/out. 5 adults coped very well. Fully equipped kitchen.
The only thing we felt it needed was mirrors in the bedrooms.
4.1
Bathroom smell which presumably comes from sulphur supply
4.1
Location is excellent - right in the heart of the city. Close to restaurants, shops, and waterfront.
Beds could have been more comfortable - it was single mattresses side by side with a hard ridge in the middle. Common space lacks a couch but has a table at least.

Location was prime!! The apartment was exactly as described, and perfect for our family of 5! We did not cook in, but the kitchen was appropriately stocked for cooking in.
Pillows were quite flat. That's it! All else was great!

Lication
The check-in
The "manager"
The email didn't come through until 3an that morning.
SERIOUSLY
We were very busy travelling, so I didn't check my emails, other bookings are at least 1 day before.
When we got there, nothing but repeating emails from booking.com
She said No it will come from us!
SHE KEPT saying- you find the email .
Eventually, she said I can find you - after clarificating I was the bokkee. She then started Whispering the codes
Absolutely ridiculous
Control freak not helpful and very upsetting for myself and the others
NOT acceptable!

Apartment was nice and roomy, plenty of space it was clean, it was easy access with no fuss using codes and getting keys, window seat was great, having 2 bathrooms was a bonus. Lovely big map to look at on entrance. Literally 2 minutes from all amenities and plenty of restaurants nearby.
Parking isn't great in the town centre. 2 out of 3 times we struggled to park. But there are multi storey carparks if u can't find anywhere.
We were on the 1st floor and there is no lift so be mindful of this when booking. We were ok taking our cases up the stairs but it may not suit others.
4.1
Excellent central location, easy access to the city, enough space for two families of four
Old showers and bathrooms, not surprising in a relatively old building, but not the highlight for sure

Location was OK. Roomy.
The Booking.com listing said the unit I booked had a washer in my "private kitchen." This was not true. There is an unlocked shared laundry room in the bldg, but every washer and dryer was full of sheets from the housekeeper or other people's clothes the entire time. The washer feature is one of the main reasons we booked this place so we could pack light. Every other lodging we booked on our trip delivered on its promise to provide a private washer for our exclusive use, but we felt like this property did not deliver on its promise in terms of amenities. Also, the oven began smoking the second we turned it on. This triggered the fire alarm for the entire building. There's no way to disengage it yourself so you have to wait for someone from security to come reset it. Apparently this happens often as the people downstairs knew exactly what the procedure was. After security reset the fire alarm 30 minutes later, it continued to beep for the rest of the night and the entire next day. We could no longer use the oven so all the frozen pizzas we bought [at outrageous Iceland prices] had to be discarded and we had to buy dinner. Texts to the owner and messages through booking.com went unanswered, so I finally had to call the guy to resolve the beeping situation. He offered no apology and made zero effort to come to the unit and fix the oven. I requested a 20% refund due to the fact that promised anenities of an oven and washer were not available to us . No response from the manager. Not even the courtesy of an apology. Booking.com declined to assist.

Great location, just a few mins walk from everything. We stayed in the Penthouse and it was nice and spacious for the 6 of us. Everywhere was clean and had everything we needed (although we didn’t really spend much time in there).
The bathrooms are small and the smell of drains was really strong - especially the en-suite in one of the bedrooms.
4.1
good location, host was good with sending over the details etc
when we arrived we didn’t have enough duvets, I called the host he told me to check the laundry room and if there wasn’t any in there too call back. we checked the laundry room and there was none in there I called back 8 times and no response, so 2 people in our group ended up sleeping with a thin blanket and there coats. the next morning the cleaner was downstairs and accused us of having extra people in the apartment and asked us why we had been in the laundry room. we explained we had nobody extra but we had 2 duvets too less, she was very rude we actually had to take her up too the room to prove there was no duvet covers in the room. we got back later on and we had duvets however we had no more communication from the owner.
it also had an overwhelming smell of drains and the bathrooms and the shower was not really clean

location and how clean the apartment was. In addition how clear the instructions for the entry where.
going up the stairs with the luggage

The apartment itself was very comfortable! and the location is superb
We had a hard time contacting the property
4.1
The location is centrally located and very convenient.
We stayed in the Backyard Apartment. The apartment is tiny with four small bedrooms, two small bathrooms, and a kitchen with a table. There is no seating area. There is only one window in the front bedroom, and none in the rest of the
apartment. Each room had a skylight. But they were covered with a lot of snow. The biggest issue was the safety of the apartment. There was no way to exit in a fire. There was an escape ladder to a skylight in the kitchen (see picture) but the refrigerator was pushed up against it and there was a bunch of snow on the window so there was no way to use it. The beds were old and very uncomfortable. The landlord wouldn’t respond to messages or emails on the holiday weekend. On our last morning there the temperature went up outside and snow started melting, and the skylight over our bed started leaking melting snow on us as we slept. The kitchen was missing some cabinet doors and the stove was very poor quality. The wallpaper was melting behind some of the radiators. In general this property was in poor condition and seems quite dangerous to stay in.

nice and clean. cost and warm. had all the faculties. kitchen was provided with all equipment and basics for tea and coffee
generally ok. it’s not brand new but the price shows that.
4.1
It was center to everything.
The apartment was spacious and plenty of room.
Lots of information given by the host to help with everything.
4.1
Great location, plenty of parking nearby on zones 2 or 3, neither of which are expensive. Really comfortable beds and free Netflix which was good for the kids.
We stayed in the Cosy Apartment on the ground floor which we found had quite a few issues. The communal door banging at all hours, thin floors meant you could hear a lot of noise from above and foot traffic outside due to having to keep the windows open. Also lots of items were broken as previously mentioned in other reviews, namely the bathroom tap, toilet roll holder missing, door handle falls off, bedroom light not working. Also the shower leaks really badly and the end of the mop/squeegee was missing. Finally, not quite sure on the random decor of prints of Paris etc? Seems not a lot of thought went into making the apartment look nice. A shame as we've stayed in nicer places for less money in Reykjavik.
4.1
Fantastic location in the centre of Reykjavik so we were able to walk everywhere. Near to shops for breakfast. Enough space for five as we were only there for brief periods. Well equipped kitchen, good Wifi.
Clear instructions for arrival and parking.
It wasn't that easy to park in Zone 3 as we arrived late in the evening - we parked in Zone 2 and then moved the car in the morning in order to pay a little less.
Broken tap in the bathroom (it worked fine but it was very wobbly)
More pillows please!

Comfortable
Lack of ventilation in 2 bedrooms
Bathrooms a bit small and needing modernising
4.1
Location is excellent. Within walkable distance to attractions in the city and a convenience store is nearby. Apartment is generally clean and well equipped.
We stayed in the cozy apartment. Cooking might trigger the smoke detector and there is no way to turn it off without calling the owner to come down. One of the beds was leaning to the radiator, which might be dangerous as it could be quite hot. We also had to compete for parking at P3.
4.1
Location was great: near center of town but away from noise.
kitchen well equipped, with sharp knives that you can actually use.
Door handle kept falling off.
Shower curtain was hanging wrong.
4.1
Location is excellent! Everything was an easy walk but you are off the main drag so there is no street noise. Highly recommend a walk to Braud & Co (Bread and company - https://www.braudogco.is/en) for morning pastries to bring back to the apartment! Kitchen is well equipped and the space is clean and comfortable. Having 2 bathrooms is a plus - not very common in downtown.
The penthouse apartment is spacious but is a walk up so heavy packers pay a penalty. There is no dedicated parking so that can be a challenge if you have a rental car. However, the location is good, so you don't really need a car for getting around town. Everything worth seeing is within 15 or 20 minute walk.

in the bathroom it seems that the pipes smell very bad.

It was clean
The apartment had no one at the location at check in. Also the rooms barely had any windows. The water was cold and came in little droplets in the shower.
4.1
Ideal location, close walk to the centre and shops etc. The apartment was clean and comfortable and great sized rooms and kitchen facilities were perfect.
