Our Stay was absolutely great! The breakfast was very fresh with Homemade bread and smoothies. It was the best breakfast we had in South Africa so far.
The Hosts Are amazing. We already Miss all of them. They helped with very Good tips for Restaurants and things to do in the area.
They have some snacks in the room for free and you will have an awesome view, no matter which room you will Get!
The beds were too soft for us.

Ninja and Mats were the most welcoming warm hosts you could ask for! They cooked breakfast themselves each morning and Ninja woke up early in the morning to bake homemade bread and baked goods that were divine. The views of Knysna harbor were stunning and the grounds were beautiful and comfortable. A truly spectacular guesthouse. We hope to return someday!

Ninja and Mats have really created something absolutely magical at Cambalala. Attention to detail at every turn, beautifully decorated interiors, staff who clearly love what they do and do it all with a smile, views that dreams are made of and top level cleanliness of the rooms and well kept gardens and pool. Breakfast every day was so lovely, homemade by the owners with a different loaf of fresh bread baked each morning. Fresh fruit and yogurt with different cheeses, hams and confectionaries to start followed by bacon and eggs, what could be better? Quality coffee and tea served with a spectacular view of the Knysna Heads and lagoon from the edge of the infinity pool (which is stunning to swim in too by the way) - absolute paradise! Bonus points - we forgot about load shedding entirely during our stay because they have solar power! My husband and I fell IN LOVE with Cambalala and the lovely team that make it what it is, we will most certainly be back in future!!
I honestly can't think of anything to complain of, everything was just really wonderful.

We loved this property! Ninja went out of her way to make us feel at home and to make sure we were taken care of. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The rooms were large and comfortable, with spectacular views of the Knysna heads. This was our second stay at the property and we will definitely stay again, should we go back to Knysna.
The en-suite bathrooms are only separated from the bedrooms by a fringe curtain, which isn't great for privacy when using the toilets. Air conditioning would be a welcome addition for hot days.

Awesome views, very comfortable guest house, great pool and garden. We just loved everything about Cambalala and mainly the hospitality of Ninja, Mats and Alfie.

From the moment you enter you are cared for by the hosts, Ninja and Matz. The stay was incredible but the hosts take it too another level. They are there your every need. Ninja was in close communication the day before our trip. She made reservations for dinner the night we came in late. The room was impeccably clean and well maintained, as was the infinity pool and pool area. Breakfast was more than I could imagined, a full European spread with jomade bread and scones. Eggs cooked to your taste. Additionally, Ninja made every guest delicious smoothies shots packed for vitamins. The entire atmosphere is modern, fresh, organic and cozy, from the furnishings to the rainforest-seque Flora surrounding the property. The bathroom was well stocked and spacious. The location is central to everything the Garden Route offers. Honestly, I could have just lounged by the pool or on our porch overlooking breathtaking views the whole week instead of sightseeing. This will be our spot in Knysna from now on.

From the moment of our arrival to the moment of our departure the owners Nicole & Chris, and Alfie a fabulous member of staff could not have been more helpful, and always with a smile. The accommodation is amazing and spotlessly clean. The Cambalala GH really is top notch.
Absolutely no negative comments.
We hope to return next year.

We’ve really enjoyed staying in Cambalala guesthouse. This guesthouse is beautifully located on a hill with an infinity pool with an amazing view over the Knysna bay. We had a very spacious room, which was perfectly clean and neat. Nicole is the most kind hostess you can imagine. She thinks about everything, has great recommendations, serves the best rose and is also very very kind. We loved everything about this place.
Beds are a little too firm for our liking.
