Very courteous staff members. The location.
Very stiff climbing stairs ,once at the entry point and again to the room. Installation of an elevator would be very helpful .

location is good. has potential to provide very good views. though the views were spoiled by cloud cover in our case.
faculties, though adequate, can be improved .

Breakfast was very ordinary...no sausages or continental spread. All A-LA-Carte. Staff was very polite and smiling.
Very average breakfast menu. Not as per 3/4 star standard.

Located near to central area and easy accessible to all key locations including Mall market lane. View of Kanchenjunga from hotel lobby was mesmerising!

The amazing Kanchenjunga view from our room and the balcony outside our room. Dining room was better than the rest of the hotel (a la carte dinner and breakfast were good). Staff is polite.
We only stayed in Darjeeling one night to catch a trek the next day. So we were looking for a hotel that we could spend our evening. Sinclairs photos looked to be a really nice updated historic hotel. We could not be more disappointed. 1) the hotel is run down and looks nothing like what is in the photos - no nice lights etc in the grounds to walk around in. 2) the room was upgraded but really dusty in places like the closet, carpet etc. 3) the hot water literally took 30 mins to come - we called the staff and they said the water in the pipes needs to run out - hated wasting 30 mins of cold water - bathroom is upgraded but the faucets are not so makes the whole bathroom completely wet and slippery after a shower. 4) location is up on a hill - the street used to be quaint but now is filthy. We paid Rs13000 ($160) for this - seriously low value. For half that amount, it would have been ok. We have traveled to many countries - this was definitely disappointing. Staff is polite but had very little control on the experience.

The view from the premier room is beautiful. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. It's a short walk to the mall road. All necessities can be easily bought from nearby shops. Breakfast buffet is good.
The approach road to the hotel is very steep . Difficult to walk up.

The views!
Booking.com bookings somehow means that I get the last room in the series, right next to the staircase / end of the alleyway. That is something I do NOT appreciate!!!

Everything was Superb Right from Entering the Premises we were greeted with Welcome Darjeeling Tea The Checkin Process was Smooth and Rooms weer excellent The breakfast was superb Only one problem we need to get up a steep rise to get into the Hotel which may be inconvenient for the Elderly people The food was excellent and rightly charged Value for Money was there for everything
Only the Approach Road which is steep uphill Road is not good for especially elderly people They should atleast arrange a Car service or even battery operated Golf cars to cover the Steep Road Else everything is best in the Hotel We have thoroughly enjoyed our Stay at Sinclairs

The behaviour of the staff members.
1. Room was too small.
2. Bed was too small for a family of three and they did not provide extra cot.
3. Food menu is limited and half of that even is not available. They could not serve even icecream.
4. Warm water hardly a available for bathing. The hotel has a queer logic. One has to keep the tap open for 10 minutes to get warm water flow which eventually did not happen and I had to request the help desk for support. Though one reluctant person came in but was not of much help.
5. The location of the property is in a dingy narrow lane where a car can hardly get in.

Staffs are very good and polite. Rooms are clean.
Light switch board is behind the bed. We have to move the bed to reach out the switch board during sleep.
A steep uphill narrow lane going up from Gandhi road leads up to the hotel (takes about 5 minutes uphill.
Rooms are small

The property was beautiful and clean. the location is also good. The staff is very polite and soft spoken. They are very helpful too.
The room we stayed in was not worth the price. Also, the food options were limited. If you staying here, make sure you eat outside.
10.0
Excellent staff and hotel services. The rooms were clean and well equipt, good view of Kanchenjunga from the mountain view rooms. Please note that the approach to the hotel is steep and not friendly to aged or disabled folks. The kitchen services and breakfast was very good, while the menu options are limited it was more than enough for us. special requests for omelette or scrambled eggs for my toddler were immediately met. Special call out to the staff who went out of their way to make my stay comfortable; right from kitchen, housekeeping to pretty much every staff member I met. Special call out to Pragya and Swarajya in the front desk for an amazing experience!
The Darjeeling Mall (Keventers end) is 5 minutes walking distance, for any trips by car the front desk will arrange or the taxi station is right beside Keventers.
The steep approach to the hotel becomes slippery after rain. This is not directly for the hotel but more for the municipal body in Darjeeling.
