Lovely!!!!

Once inside the hotel, we found it very beautiful. The well trained staffs and their hospitality impressed us a lot. The happy tea hour between 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM was a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the Darjeeling tea & Jhal muri. Room service was excellent. Travel Desk was very cooperating and efficient. Housekeeping is really commendable.

Our overall stay was great because of the helpful staff and their excellent service.

Facility was excellent, and the staff was even better. Rooms were comfortable, except the bathrooms, which could use a little modernization.

overpriced overhyped as a heritage property

The dining staff were excellent and the housekeepig staff as well. But Mr Giri at reception is a disaster. He has no compassion or care in a hospitality business and no personal touch. Some of the seating areas are nice but thats about it. The esecurity were very compassionate and had the attitude and compassion needed when a family with elderly are travelling.

The hotel boast on the website of wonderful views and balconies etc but its only for perhaps 2 rooms that are always not available. The rooms are small and claustrophobic and have no view and face construction sites. I was promsied a better room as I had to extend my stay and I was travelling with my 78 year old mother. At the last minute they cancelled the extension and thankfully I found another hotel. But the staff neitehr informed me and the attitude was "sorry thast it! Cant help it" .The rooms are overpriced for the facility and the view at a hillstation like darjeeling. the place looks opulent but its not worth the price. Overall other than the dining room and housekeeping staff the rest were all very superficial lacking personal touch. Its almost as they do you a favour by allowing you to stay. I only stay at 5 stars and this was by far onne of the least warm and welcoming experiences

Full of character, a great stay.

Full of character and charm, with great facilities and an ultra comfortable bed. It was quite cold weather and we really appreciated the night time hot water bottle deliveries!

Breakfast was a little hit and miss, but a large selection!

Great stay at Darjeeling Mayfair

The entire resort was very clean and nicely decorated. The Tenzing room (library) was excellent. The staff were very helpful.

The buffet dinner was good, but no local food was prepared. We missed that.

Everything about the staff, ambience , setting and food

The fact that the rooms didn't have a refrigerator as this was required by me since we were traveling with a toddler and I needed to keep some food and milk for her , though have to say that the hotel staffs were more than accommodating in bringing up the milk and other things whenever required.
