Friendly, helpful staff. good food. convenient, beautiful location.
Air conditioning and Wi-Fi in the room were poor. an additional fan would be nice. unable to flush TP was slightly inconvenient.

Suggested hotel due to good price-quality balance, location close to the river, very warm welcome by the hosts. Parking available in front of the room.
The bathroom is not nice at all and comfortable, very small and basic. The bed and pillows were a bit dirty. The air conditioner should be cleaned.

Nice and quiet, good location.

Great place next to the River, but near the City. Lovely people, everything was clean. There is always a crocodile, what was amazing for my daughter. The Tour we booked directly there (Lamanai) was offered by local people and absolutely worth it!!
Breakfast was good, but expensive

it was on the river, very pretty with a slightly rustic feel. It felt like you were remote but it was still in town.
The lady in charge, I think her name is Nisha was super helpful. prices are really good too!

This THE place! Lovely people that run this Retreat. We have such a good time Here. In this Paradise there is a great bar. Meeting and enjoying local people. Each afternoon the Krokodile Comes a bit Out of the River to say hello. Jungle Sounds all around.
The lamanai Tour they Organize was absolutely perfect! If you Go by boat you will enjoy the jungle, If you Go by Car you will See menuit villages.
Thanks to the tourguide and the delicious food His wife Made!

First, Nisha, the manager is a gem. Second, what could be bad about sitting by a jungle river and relaxing. But I love out of the way and rustic. Some won't. But think of this. I woke in the morning to hundreds of snowy egrets looping over the river. An occasional tarpon surfaced and a croc swam by. Ah...!
Plumper pillows? Come on. This place is what it advertises. It's a retreat not a resort!

It is like a riverine forest resort, very quiet except for the birds and splashes of crocodiles and fish in the river. Especially nice to have a cup of hot chocolate at one of those thatched pavilions right on the river parapet. Raoul the owner is very helpful and assisted me with onward transportation, Lamanai Ruins tour and gave me a good interesting account of life in Orange Walk - best!
Not enough variety on the meals menu.

Big bungalow, only two blocks from shop, reataurant and ATM.
Restaurant closes at 7 pm!

Located right on the banks of the New River, could not wish for better. The owner and family were so welcoming, nothing was to much trouble. Great breakfast and evening meal.
We did the river and temple tour, which was brilliant.
We loved the Animal and bird wildlife
They even gave us a lift to the bus terminal and would not take any money for it. We.were Sorry to leave.
Our room was very basic, run down and tired. Big shame because a revamp makeover of the rooms would lift the overall score to what this place deserves.
