The studio was very well presented, clean and had all facilities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location was very quiet down a stoned drive just round the back of the main house, there is private parking just outside the gate which is great piece of mind if you have a vehicle.

Lovely one night stay at this very nice cottage 😊 very nice comfy bed
Just a few teething problems with this property. The bedroom, because of its sloping ceilings we had to duck whilst walking round the room most of the time. Also the shower was good even though quite small. Dissapointed that there wasn't any shower gel or shampoo provided, as with most properties there are. A good size kitchen which was fully equipped with everything we needed. Overall it was a nice stay.
4.3
The bed was comfortable decent nights sleep.
Wasn't what we booked the pics on the advert are nothing like what we were put in to stay, having to share with other ppl. Owner is pleasant enough but breakfast was overpriced again the continental baskets on the post at a additional charge aren't available..The shower was horrendous no room whatsoever

use of a fully equipped kitchen
a message beforehand as to key location would have been good

Great location in beautiful village. Spacious and bright accommodation which had everything we needed. Special mention for Sophie who despite her own plans waited for us to arrive.
4.3
Location easy to find
Very clean
Close to venue(Mildenhall)
Nothing,all fine.

Friendly host and lovely bathroom. Reacted quickly when we asked for heating to be turned up.
Sparse interior, cheap wardrobes. Didn't feel it warranted the price per night. Building materials and access in darkness, even with torch, was a trip hazard. Pigeon droppings everywhere got walked into property, so lots of maintenance keeping it clean. Bigger doormat needed and more comfortable seating. Everything is a bit of a mishmash. Disappointing stay. Not worth as much money as charged in current condition.

Great location, very friendly welcome and lively spacious room.

4.3
Quiet location no traffic noise
Very cold on arrival though soon warm once heating put on
Nothing supplied in the shower, and no where to put anything, shower difficult to operate, would have liked a bath mat feared slipping
Mirror in the bathroom too high mirror on the landing poor light
Tv very few channels watchable due to tv pixating
Couldn't see any cereal bowls
4.3
Location, privacy
Missing a few comfort items (only 1 towel, no extra hand towels, no shower toiletries), no outlet in bathroom or outlet near a mirror, limitation on heat availability, mattress was worn and soft.
4.3
Comfortable bed, private bath room and access to a shared kitchen / dining style space
Nothing, albeit the low ceilings are a challenge when you are over 6 feet tall !
4.3
Clean room and convenient to RAF Lakenheath.
A little hard to locate but the owner was very helpful in directing me to the property.

Bed was comfy and cottage was cosy despite it being cold outside. Sian was very helpful and gave restaurant recommendations.
We were moved last minute to Bell cottage due to an issue with the septic tank so I guess this review isn't for appletree cottages but not sure where else I can write it.
The shower didn't get hot at all, we were able to use the upstairs shower as it was unoccupied although this had a drainage problem and water filled the tray to the top within a minute of using.
The kitchen was basic and in dire need of a refurb - oven took 45 mins to heat up and there was a bit of mould in the back of the fridge.
Be aware that the breakfast wasn't something provided as standard and we had to ask for it, it probably wouldn't have been offered so the pictures on here are a little misleading.

Nice people/ dog other guests,
Uncomfortable bed
Shower too small

WiFi was very poor
Low ceilings to bang your head
I repaired the toilet seat fixing
Pillows uncomfortable

Beautiful rural location and v quiet lovely host, comfy bed, we slept well, the host sorted out a query, quickly, loved the dog. Would happily stay again, the Millenium walk along the river is a beautiful one and there are maps around Barton Mills to show the route.
There is no house sign with Apple Cottages on it or a house number as an alternative so we had to search the length of the road to find the property and then work it out from a google maps picture.
The breakfast was good but not as substantial as the photo on the basket showed; we were given at a reduced price however.
Needs salt and a pepper grinder in the kitchen.
We sat in the garden which was delightful. Reassurance that we could sit out in the garden and which places would be best would be useful. I think she would have been happy for us to sit anywhere but an initial explanation of that would be useful.

it was in a nice location
there was no house name or number on property which made it very difficult to locate in the dark and rain

Lovely accommodation and the land lady Sian was super friendly to us.
Nothing. It was all superb.

The owner was lovely. She checked we were ok and took payment. Other than that we were left to have a lovely relaxing weekend. The underfloor heating was wonderful and as we went whilst it was cold and had a slight overnight snow the warmth in the studio was fabulous. The area was very pretty and the local pub The Bull served wonderful food.
There wasn't anything here to not like. There was a couple of things I would like to see in the studio. Ideally a long mirror and a lock on the bathroom door. But overall it's a beautiful studio and we would love to go back for a longer stay.

Sian and her son were very hospitable, so nice. This was our second stay with her and most likely not the last.
