Great location, nice breakfast, helpful staff at the restaurant.
Duvet was too thick - would have liked a summer weight duvet. Breakfast instructions inconsistent. Some staff said we could have anything off the menu, others were quite strict.

Historic Grade 2 building.
Room design.
Location - Royal William Yard and proximity to City
Musty smell of room.
Toilet not flushed when we arrived !
Shower gel of previous guest in bathroom.
Coffee in bistro - maybe not our blend but very bitter and avoided both mornings !

great location
gorgeous room
clean and comfortable
lovely cocktails at the restaurant.
unable to leave luggage anywhere, luckily we had driven but what would happen if you got a taxi and then had to walk around for hours with your luggage.
unable to sit anywhere comfortable outside to have a drink as we didn’t want to eat.
pub benches to sit on not ideal with mobility issues.

Loved the quality of the decor / furnishings, the bed was comfy and the local area was perfect to relax in. Breakfast was tasty and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

Bedroom design and features were lovely, location to explore Royal William Yard ideal and plenty of parking (free when staying)
Our room was not ready - staff had given another guest wrong room key (to our room) and had to kick them out, so our room was not ‘fresh’ and no housekeeping on site. Had to get new towels etc. Staff who took over repeatedly blamed same member of staff - I get that this may be the cause of our issues - but seemed inappropriate to tell us this on more than one occasion ‘you’re not the only room that was messed up by XXX’.
At breakfast, ordered avocado on toast and had to send back as clearly was old or was a manky avocado (grey brown appearance all over) and had to point out to staff who served (it was clearly visible and not what I’d eat at home) - first world problems and I have high expectations having worked in hospitality for some years. Most problems were sorted speedily but let down the experience as felt like had to keep complaining or reminding staff to progress and make right - to get minimally good outcomes.

love the rooms and brekfast
should have been notified that the restaurant was closing at 4pm so couldn't eat there or get a drink.

The room was just glorious. Spacious, airy, profound quality and a view to die for.
The food at the Bistro was excellent and without exception the staff were smiling and efficient.
The compound of New Cooperage is unusual and special.
Erm... more coffee pods in the room ? A laundry bag or two ?
I'm groping here, I had a really wonderful stay.
Okay, perhaps an access ramp to enter the building, the big old step was a tad awkward with luggage.

I loved the sympathetic restoration of the period building, the simple stylish decor and comfort, as a solo traveller I liked the se Ute door and cameras on the building entrance.
Room 9 didn’t have a toilet roll holder or towel rail fitted it looked as if they are waiting to be installed.

It was a little
Confusing and with bags to have to go to the restaurant which was located a few minutes away. But staff were

beautiful grade II building, rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. High quality bath and shower products, and the bed was extremely comfortable!
nothing in particular, if I have to say one thing is that the bathroom sink is very small, but can live with it!

Nice check in and check out service. Love the location. Great bathroom. Comfortable bed. Decent TV. Roman blind in our room broken but we informed them at check out - these things happen.

Location is good.
WIndows did not open and close easily.

stylish room, fantastic bedding and towels, chic. such a lovely spot, we would come back if we need to stay in Plymouth
staff in the restaurant were fantastic under pressure, really superb.
asked for a quiet room but room faced car park so noise from cars was quite bad and I didn’t sleep well. This was a real shame, room at the back would have been quiet I’m guessing.
the old shutters are great but I’d add a blackout blind as they don’t keep the light out fully and all good hotels should have window coverings which exclude light, would diminish noise too.

Staff in restaurant very slow and unresponsive
