Wonderful stay in Mumbai

This hôtel is a rare and authentic place in Mumbai. Localisation is perfect. Rooms are big and have balconies for some of them. Some are family rooms with two Big double beds + canapés for very good price. Everybody is so nice and helpfully. Coffee and the at disposition.

Location and the staff were very customer centric

The approach, rhe dingy reception in the corridor, the dirty kitchenette. The rooms and bathroom could be cleaner: clean sheets without stains, clean buckets and waste bins...

Good location and a decent sized room. Go with low expectations.

Very nice location. The room was big but basic...there is a balcony but some rooms don't have any good a view.

The booking said there is breakfast included but when you get there you're told you'll get butter toast and tea/coffee sachets with hot water. So much for breakfast :)

Superb

Classic travellers hotel, have stayed here twice before. The building is old and has its own charm. Location is great, and the whole area is full of similar decaying colonial style buildings. Friendly staff.

Bad. Do not suggest for anyone with 5k budget per day.

Accept for the location it's situated at their is nothing to like about this hotel

Everything, right from room, bed and washroom, nothing is good about this hotel. It's on Par with hotels which costs 1000-1500 a day. Not worth 5k + gst.

Good enough, but don't expect amenities.

The hotel is centrally located and is in walking distance to many of the tourist sites. In the evenings, it was close to some good local food venues. The room I got was very large and the shower was pretty good.

For the majority of the time, there was no internet available during my stay. (3 nights). When there was internet available, it was 1-3mpbs. Breakfast is just 4 slices of toast and coffee (or chai). My room was right next to the kitchen and reception area. I was getting up early due to jetlag so it was pretty quiet, but I'm not sure how quiet it would've been if I slept til later.

Great neighborhood and fine size oldstyle room

The area is very nice, quiet in the morning, trees in the street, sounds of birds, mostly pigeons and crows. The coast- dirty though, is very near. There are plenty of shops, restaurants nearby. The room had to a good size and offered what a traveller needs, shower was good, wifi was well. Staff was always arround. Aircon was ok. Elevator if you need, third floor. Old times ambience

Pleasant & convenient

Old world charm of this place. Liked the family room which allowed 4 guests to stay together. Windows with a lot of natural light seeping in the room. Walking distance to Gateway of India and nearby places in Colaba. Very convenient. Helpful staff members. It is not a typical hotel.. And that is its charm.

Everything was fine. Could offer more breakfast options.

the worst stay i have ever faced from booking.com it is hurting their reputation most worst

nothing, did not give the room as picture was shown, totally disappointed, even the breakfast was not served

everything, reception in one building that too on 3rd floor and i was stationed in a cage in opposite building

Bad maintenance with cockroach

The room was big and the neighbourhood of Colaba is very nice. The AC works property and the water was hot.

There were 2 cockroach in the room (one so big and other smaller) We informed to the staff and they just killed them and give us spray to kill them. The floor of the room was not so cleaned. The hotel is not the same whole building, they just have two floors. The rooms and the bathroom are old with no maintenance.

This was my second stay at Bentley's. I love the old-school vibe of the place, and the warm and friendly staff who are genuinely concerned about your comfort and feel being.

Unhygienic hotel to avoid

Location and half a day option

Long wait at the reception (45min) and useless staff. Bugs in the bed so we asked for a spray. No drinking water in the room. No curtain for the shower. Insufficient toilet paper. Banging and drilling all day and night. Very filthy hotel which doesn't deserve 3* and we are surprised that booking.com suggests it.

always wonderful.

I have been staying regularly at Bentley’s for well over 10 years. it’s a simple property, with an old Bombay charm, with nice rooms. the location is outstanding, the staff is warm and affectionate, it’s like a home away from home.

Nothing, they are what they are, and don’t promise more, and don’t give you less.

The hotel is perfectly located and is a great base for visiting Mumbai

The hotel is in a beautiful area, perfectly located. The staff is friendly, and as two female travellers we felt very safe knowing there was always at least one staff member around. The hotel offers a laundry service at a good price.

The room we were originally assigned was in another building on the opposite side of the road.

Amazing Stay at a great location.

Loved the location. Staff was very professional starting with the security to the Hotel Manager and loved Helsi (Hotel Manger's Pup).

Good location only

The location is the best thing of this “hotel”. It is an old property, outside is painted in blue and white and it gives a good impression however the bedroom is dirty, the bathroom also very dirty. We didnt even tried the breakfast that was included. The daily price is too much for the experience. bath towels arw the worst quality.

Everything besides de location. The doorman/ security guy was very nice though.

nothing liked. they took money 3135 INR for this type of dirty room. this type of hotel room should cost 1000 INR. they have no any credit card payment facility. i even asked them to deduct my payment through booking.com but they refused.
