Upon arrival, obtaining the door key was easy enough using the provided simple instructions. Once inside we were impressed with the size, layout, cleanliness and comfortable aspect. Overall, the quality of the furniture, decor, kitchen crockery & utensils and other equipment is very good - with most things you need for your stay being provided.
The upstairs houses the lounge, dining area and kitchen, whilst the bedrooms are all downstairs. The master double bedroom (with en suite) and the twin bedroom are at the back and have access to a decked area at the start of the garden. The garden has a table and bench at the bottom which looks out over the beach and sea. The other double bedroom is at the front. All the rooms are well proportioned and there is a communal bathroom. From the kitchen balcony and through the lounge windows, you get a great view of Porth Beach and the coast line landscape beyond.
The most direct way to explore the area is via a small pathway that leads from near the property down to the rocks and sand of Porth Beach. The best time to take this route is at low tide - at other times you'll be swimming when you get to the bottom of the path! The other route to the beach is to take the nearby road that leads down to Porth and its humble amenities.
We very much enjoyed Porth Beach and the surrounding coastline, with it's beautiful rugged cliffs, sandy beaches and grassy nature walks. For us, feeling part of the landscape, as you look out towards horizons far beyond our usual city vistas, certainly helped all the physical and mental barriers of modern life fall away.
It is often said, that pictures and words can’t replace the experience of being there, but sharing that experience is also important, if only to inspire others. If your are considering a visit, then don't hesitate to book The Beach House - as it is perfectly placed to take in the clear beauty of Porth and surrounding areas of Newquay.
Other reviewers have mentioned that the communal bathroom is prone to a bit of a smell at times - but opening the window when you're in helps alleviate that. Having said that, we were too busy enjoying the comfort of the property and the beauty of the area to notice it that much.

The views
The smell of damp downstairs which in turn made the bedding and towels smell the same. The first night I couldn’t stop coughing. I had to buy air fresheners to try and mask the awful smell.
The car park was way to small. People were struggling to get vehicles in and out and it wasn’t busy so in the holiday season it must be even worse.

No reply to my phone message left three days before we travelled clarifying bedding and towels situation in light of the pandemic.
Directions to accommodation could have been more helpful as the "complex" is a bit of a rabbit warren!
We were horrified to discover the house had not been cleaned, and to find wet, dirty towels and sheets on all of the beds. Given the current climate, this was particularly unacceptable.
The accommodation had an unpleasant smell-coming from the bathroom and en-suite-the en-suite did not flush effectively.
On our day of departure, my husband encountered a very rude and unpleasant individual who we assume had something to do with maintenance of the site who told my husband he could not dispose of some empty cereal boxes in the rubbish bins. Bizarrely, he told my husband he would have to take them away with him. My husband explained we were unable to do this as we were getting the train home!

Easy to find, easy keysafe, everything you need. Spacious for 6 of us, safe for children. Fab location for beaches and amenities. Friendly staff at Lusty beach, lovely little cafe at Porth beach
Nothing, was great...maybe a little info on whats local would be helpful on arrival in pack. E.g tesco and spa just up the road
