We had a wonderful time at Seikiro Ryokan! The owners were really nice and helpful and it was a great experience! Thank you so much for your hospitality and a fabulous breakfast.

This is a historical house with quite a lot of artworks - you will find a book with descriptions in your room. Service is really good and they are very helpful.
It's a bit dated, which is somewhat expected of an older house.

Well, it is a Ryokan and for the price I paid, I can't complain much since the room is huge
Get to stay in a historical place without breaking the bank so it is more of an experience
Go there for the experience of staying in a Ryokan but don't expect many luxury facilities
I didn't know that breakfast has to pre-book :)
Maybe the temperature in the public shower wasn't hot enough

The staffs are nice and breakfast is a traditional Japanese, like the experience of stay in the ryokan.

Enjoyed the traditional ryokan experience. Loved the spacious room set-up with tea corner. Comes with traditional onsen experience. Owner-manager was very hospitable, showed us around his property.
All was good.

very authentic feeling
nothing, everything was great!

Excellent breakfasts and dinners. Short, safe walk to seaside park and shopping centre with supermarket. Beautiful views of the bay.
Renovation works for ceiling and plumbing repairs were starting so no hot water from taps in the room. But bath was not crowded.

The meal was great!

The nicest and polite people

The room was dusty, I was sneezing all the time
No cleaning
No supply of new towels/tissues
The WiFi password in the room didn't work, apparently the right password was in the lobby
No power sockets near the bed
No cups in the room although there was a kettle?

Everything about this experience was exceptional in terms of staying in a historical property in a lesser known location. The family that has run it for 13 generations now, and the place itself, next to the water and walking distance to the station and tourist center (which has bike rentals) is perfect in many ways.
The building is (obviously) dated, but that is what I expected. They have done everything possible to make nice what they have control over.

The garden! We opened the doors and ate breakfast with a beautiful view to the garden
They didn’t offer breakfast. The onsen was old.
7.0
The breakfast was excellent. Grilled smoked shark for the first time. Delicious.
The futons were as old as the property.

The attention was perfect and precious
We had been received very kindly. The hosts are very gentle and careful. The bed room very comfortable and beautiful.

Great Service and guidance, Superb room and nearby Garden view, near to Sea and eateries
Pillow is little hard for first time user.

Really good value for money. Seikiro is a really old and authentic Ryokan with friendly staff. From the window of our room we had a nice view on the ocean and could even see the landbridge.
The Ryokan is clean, however, the bathroom facilities are a bit old. Therefore, the toilet seat and lid had spots all over the material, though it seemed to be clean. It might be good to exchange that.
