very near to airport makes it very comfortable to check-in for the late flights or very early flights.
very small room but doesn't mind as we just wanted to sleep overnight and leave early in the morning.

First of all, the staff are very friendly, caring and helpful. Thanks Reynir & Christina! Further, it’s a cozy, quiet and very clean place in a good location (within walking distance from the bus to/from Keflavik airport). Good breakfast.
I could hear other guests from the room next door quite well.

Quaint charming hostel type inn near the water and walking trail. Close to airport.
Great experience and nice place to stay while in Iceland

very close to KEF airport. we had to check out early and they were very flexible with selfservice breakfast.
the bed was a bit small for two people.

Location was in a residential area and not a far walk into town. Reynir was kind enough to drive us to Blue Lagoon and then pick us up to take us to Reykjavik for a fraction of cost.

We arrived after midnight due to issues with our rental car. The hosts were accommodating and gracious. The room was good, breakfast was good and the space was charming. Convenient to airport. Good pillows!
We hoped to use the hot tub but arrived way too late. Not their fault:)

This was a cute and quirky little bed and breakfast place. You can tell the owners took pride in the place. It is their house, so there were some house rules to abide by, but the hosts are very accommodating. Unfortunately our flight was very early so we weren't able to partake in their breakfast but they still left out some quick snacks to take on the road.
It's an older place and the bathrooms were down the hall. Not a terrible inconvenience but something to keep in mind for comfort.

This was a fantastic place to stay - Reynir picked us up from the airport at 10 pm and dropped is back at 6am. He took us on a tour of the rekjanes peninsula and dropped us at and picked us up from the blue lagoon . Most amazing day . Breakfast is great too

Having just stayed one night, as a final stop before a flight back home, it fully met my expectations. The owner was pleasant and helpful. I had to miss the morning breakfast because we had to leave early, but it looked good as the owner was setting up.

Loved the charming old look of the inside
Would have like to be allowed to cook as the opened kitchen is taking half of the shared space

Inside this house is absolutely beautiful, the rooms and the shared space are cosy and full of historical items. Breakfast was exceptional and everyone was friendly and extremely helpful. The location is great - right by a path along the coast - we walked through a nature reserve and a beach to the Viking museum one direction, and to Keflavik lighthouse, harbour and the Giantess cave the other direction. It is also very easy to get to the airport. I recommend 100%
Nothing - it was perfect.

Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, delicious breakfast which the hosts were able to provide as 'self-serve' early. Don't be scared away by the shared bathrooms, they are very clean and shared between three rooms.

Fantastic ambiance, quirky and signature, unique. i felt totally at home there, like it was my kitchen and living space and the other guests were my family! Part of that was the accommodating nature of the staff - warm and welcome!
important note: the hottub is not a jacuzzi (no bubbles) and is normally only hot and open for guests from 18:00-22:00
Close but not close enough to fjord/ocean!

Everything! lovely home, comfortable and cozy, giving guests the feeling that they are really cared for and friends, not just clients.

Raven’s cottage is perfectly located within 10 minutes from the international airport. The cottage is very cozy and our room was very comfortable for one night. The staff very friendly and always willing to help in order to make our stay comfortable. We highly recommend to get in contact with them in order to coordinate early check in as well as transportation. They do offer transportation to/from the airport and Blue Lagoon with much better rates than a private taxi.

We stayed at Raven's Nest on our first night in Iceland. We were nervous that our flight might be delayed, so we arranged to pick up our motorhome the next day.
To be fair, this was the only accommodation that we stayed in during our trip, so we don't have anything to compare it to. However, it was exactly what we needed and my research confirmed that it is competitively priced by Icelandic standards.
We particularly liked the fact that we were able to have a family room that slept four of us. The breakfast was good and the hot tub in the back garden was a bonus (this is free of charge, but needs to be reserved by the hour).
The staff will collect and drop off at the airport - this costs extra, but is more convenient (and apparently cheaper) than getting a taxi.
The guest house is located close to the harbour, and there's a nice path that leads along the shore into downtown Keflavik. It's a nice way to stretch your legs after the flight, and there is reasonable bird life (lots of eider ducks and gulls when we were there). As a bonus, we also saw a minke whale in the bay.
We were delighted that the owners had no problem with our kids staying in the communal area whilst we went to collect our hire vehicle (many motorhomes are stored off-site and you need to go through an induction, so allow at least an hour for this). There is also space in the parking area to pull up a motorhome whilst you load up, so you don't have to worry about reversing - very important if you're driving a 6.2m vehicle for the first time!
There was nothing that we didn't like.
However, it's worth bearing in mind that there are only two shared bathrooms for four or five rooms on the bottom floor (not sure if there are extra upstairs). This is made clear in the guest house description and wasn't a problem for us, but something that you'd need to factor in if you were working on a tight time frame to get out in the morning and not used to shared facilities.
Because it's a bit out of town, there are few eating options in the immediate vicinity. We walked into the centre of town and ate at Biryani (an excellent Middle Eastern place that offers both takeaway and east in options). This took about half an hour at a leisurely pace and we enjoyed the walk, but it wouldn't be so pleasant in bad weather, and you'd probably need to take a taxi.
