You won't be disappointed at this hotel

This older property has been completely re-done with a modern renovation. Rooms are spacious and new... and clean. Our bedside lamp didn't work, the check-in clerk was so sweet, she found us a new one. I would definitely stay here again. Location is perfect in central downtown Carlsbad, parking lot is right outside your door.

The breakfast is standard "major chain" fare like at Days Inn, Super 8, etc. Didn't really matter to us as we brought our own food.

Horrible mistake of a place to stay

Absolutely nothing horrible place to stay at. Big mistake

Everything they were rude and unprofessional. Had so many issues even with getting locked out of my room at one point due to lack of maintenance!

Ganz gut, bis auf´s Frühstück

Ein angenehmes Hotel, was erst kürzlich renoviert wurde, so der Eindruck.

Das Frühstück war mäßig und die zuständige Mitarbeiterin schien überfordert oder lustlos zu sein. Insofern war der Preis nicht gerechtfertigt.

A decent place but they should not advertise breakfast

Rooms were comfortable enough. Cleanliness in our room was good. The coffee maker did not work. And a new staff member, Janice, went out of her way to try and help. Unfortunately she never succeeded.

Previous reviewers noted grave deficiency with the breakfast. It's been noted repeatedly. And it turned out to be exactly like that. Cold Cereal but no milk or spoons. A few Bagels. Coffee but creamer had gone bad. Instant oatmeal but no hot water one day. And no instant oatmeal the next. We had read the reviews all in advance so we came prepared it with our own supplies. But the reviews have been consistent over a couple years. It wouldn't seem that hard to fix.

Looking forward to returning

Location was perfect for exploring downtown and staff was exceptional

Breakfast was weak, but I was not expecting it, so no problem, the coffee was good

Only stayed one night but had no issues.

The whole place was clean and comfortable. Checking in and out was super fast and easy.

The breakfast could have been better. There was no creamer for the coffee (only half and half) so I couldn’t drink it. There was a very limited selection of food and no spoons for the cereal offered.

Other then that I'd give this place another stay when I visit .

It was not clean sadly and also the heater didn't work and it was really cold when I stayed no accomodations were made .

Lo único que abia para desayunar era pan con mermelada total decepcion

Nuestro cuarto no estaba listo de hecho no lo avían ni limpiado ni hecho la cama nos dieron otro cuarto el cual las fundas de las almohadas estaban sucias.

Stay was very comfortable.

The room was very clean and comfortable. most of the room items were new or in very good shape.

Only drawback was the tv didn't work properly, you had to use 2 remotes and then there was only I channel.

A deal but at a cost of inconvenience

Low cost ; location

2 staff called in sick so receptionist doubled as cleaners ; it took an hour to prep the room ; this was 6-7pm

Good accommodation, good price, soso breakfast

Relative quiet hotel in despite of close to the ‘main’ road

Too bad there isn’t an option for making hot water. Not in ether room, not in the breakfast area.

La habitación. Se nota que es nuevo.

Las toallas un poco antiguas. El desayuno que ofrecía no estaba mal, pero no tenían ni servilletas ni agua para beber. La wifi o nos la dió mal o no funcionaba.

Air was on when we got there, which was appreciated

No food at Breakfast, which was included in our rate. Lady told us no one hardly ever comes to breakfast, but that am, they did. She had to send someone to Walmart for food and she wasn't sure how long it would be before they got back.

The towels looks old and have tons of stains on them. Breakfast consisted only of a few corn dogs and coffee.

Price should reflect what you get.

Central location.

Place is under construction (bar/lounge) and is not done. Motel used as a staging site for construction/Road crew; parking lot is full of work trucks. Room is very minimalist not much else. Homeless man sleeping on floor inside breakfast area. Not worth the price!

king bed was comfortable, bathroom window added light, added lighting in room was bright and cheery, spacious room

pot smoker in drawer from previous renter, no coffee pot, no breakfast, due to sand storm (no fault of owners)-no electricity for 4 hours, so no TV, no internet and no cell service

HIGHLY recommend Steven’s Inn just down the road who were able to accommodate me last minute

Absolutely do not recommend Post Time Inn. I booked 3 nights 1 month in advance, received a confirmation email, and upon arriving was told they didn’t have any rooms. The first desk lady was expecting me, “oh are you the one that booked online?” When speaking with the ‘general manager’ I asked why they weren’t able to notify me prior to showing up and she initially told me, “We had no idea about your booking.” When I told her what the prior lady said, she then back tracked to saying she found out that morning, and, “well, the website should’ve told you.” She then told me she would return every penny and “Yea, an oil company just showed up recently.” Be warned. They will happily boot your booking. The slightly cheaper prices than competitors in town are not worth the risk of not having a bed.

Looks ok but it’s not well cleaned

Renovated building, rooms look good inside. The lady that did our checkin was nice, the other ones were not friendly.

Stained sheets, dirty carpet (crumbles, gummy bears, etc), dirty shower box.
