建物全体のデザインとアートが良かった
チェックインの時間が限定的なのでスタッフのいない時間に到着しても荷物を預ける、夜間の対応等ができないところ

Cool art and common spaces that can be used for working. The private room was sized well with a good-sized wardrobe and table that you can work from in private. The shared bathroom and kitchen facilities were very clean and well-sized. Easy walk from the closest station. Good food and drinks places withing walking distance.

I enjoyed my stay, good value for money.
if you arrive before checkin make sure you contact the property as the door will be locked, you can leave the luggage there until checking as long as you contact them beforehand.
common areas feel more like a coworking space for the artist that live in the property. It’s a cool concept for art lovers but I was a bit disappointed that the art side of the hotel felt quite disconnected from normal guests

amazing stay, I loved everything

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was also super clean, cool and arsty. There were a few planned areas for e.g. a cafe that weren't ready when I went, but I have no doubt it'll be very cool when it's done!
There were also artworks being exhibition ed that I didn't get the chance to see, along with artists living at the actual venue, so it that's something you're interested in learning more about, could be a great idea!
The room was also much bigger than I expected it to be.
I liked everything about the accommodation itself. The surrounding area can get pretty quiet at night. I've never felt all that unsafe in a Japanese neighbourhood, but if you're travelling alone and are wary of things like this, it might be a point worth noting.
It was also maybe a 10ish walk from the nearest JR station. In the scheme of things not that far, but if you're packing a lot of luggage it might be worth getting a taxi.

I booked Kaganhote because I was looking for a place that I could get to know Kyoto's art scene for a little bit. During my stay, I met the artists who live and work there and had nice chat with them. The hotel itself is bright and stylish with nice atmosphere. The room is quite stylish so does the public area, the staff told me it was an old factory before, so you could still sense the history feeling remains here, which is very charming to me!
I stayed in the 4F floor room which is being listed at the hostel room which is fine but with the price, I guess I was hoping that the hotel could provide more stuff that the guest might need? Next time, I want to try the stay in another type of room and hope the gallery and the cafe is already open by then.
