I stayed in Crumpet which was a lovely spacious room, loved the standalone bath in the bathroom. The complimentary bottles of water were much appreciated on such a hot weekend. The breakfast was amazing.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about the room or the food. It would be helpful if housekeeping didn’t try to get in the rooms before 11am on the day of check out. She seemed desperate to start cleaning rooms early & walked straight in on 2 of my friends in other rooms who were partially naked although they had shouted out.

Comfy bed, great breakfast
No black out blinds so itv was hard to sleep

Clean, great location, friendly staff.
No shower in the room (only a bath), and tended to be hot in the room (in the attic) which unfortunately the fan couldn’t do justice.

Location, breakfast, staff wonderful

Couldn’t fault it! Lovely room with character, beautiful view, comfortable bed and everything you need on a tea tray! Plus lovely staff and a great breakfast. Thank you!

Good location, interesting accommodation in ancient traditional building. Lovely staff. Great breakfast. Wake up to gorgeous bred baking smells
Sadly south east water cut off the water while we stayed!

Great location, really central. Easy check-in with the little key safe in front of the bakery. Room was lovely and spacious, very comfy bed. Definitely a room with character in an amazing, but old building. Nice modern shower room. Our highlight was the breakfast where you could chose one item from the menu including the drinks, great selection and everything was so tasty. Really enjoyed our stay there, would book again.

The hotel was fantastic, the location is right in the heart of Rye and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was superb.
Booking.com is fine provided there are no alterations or changes to be made. In this case we needed to remove a child bed from our booking due to a change in circumstances. This lead to having to message the hotel, booking.com, the hotel again, booking.com again. We thought it was sorted but then on the morning of our stay the hotel called to say that booking.com had not formalised the change and therefore the hotel couldn't amend the booking. Calls to booking.com were then needed before it was resolved and the additional cost taken from our bill. The whole issue was a total farce.

Big room in good position
Small bathroom. Disappointing breakfast - lack of choice, limited options. Lack of drawers in the room

gorgeous property with lots of character and a modern twist. Lovely big room and free standing bath. Brilliant breakfast, great central location. Really comfy bed.

We had a great stay at Whitehouse, the room was beautiful with plenty of space. The staff were super helpful and welcoming, we definitely want to come back again soon.

Wonderful welcoming, small accommodation above a bakery and cafe serving the most scrumptious all-day breakfast/brunch. So easy and relaxed
We loved our stay at the Whitehouse and the only slight downside was that neither of us found the bed comfortable

Everything was beautiful, the area, the building, the room and even the breakfast. The check in was fast and they even offered to hold our bags the next day so we could go for a walk after checking out. the food was delicious, the toiletries were great quality and lovely tea and coffee in the room. I would love to stay here again and have already recommended the Whitehouse Rye to my friends.
The stairs are a bit steep, not an issue for us but would not be accessible to some which is a shame as everyone should be able to experience the place! And unfortunately our bed was quite noisy, whenever my partner moved in his sleep I woke up to the noise so wasn’t the best sleep but apart from that it was perfect!

we had a lovely stay at the Whitehouse for my husbands 70th. it was a bit cool in the evening and could’ve done with a blanket. we couldn’t turn the heating up. but that was the only down side. we were comfortable. i wish I’d taken my own pillows, as the hotel pillows were slightly harder than we like. the breakfast was exceptional. i had the pancakes which were lovely and my husband had eggs bacon etc which was lovely as well. both were above average. we’d definitely stay there again.

Quirky bedroom and comfortable .
Quality of breakfast excellent but waiting on staff had no idea how to serve and deal with complaint. Example; my cereal arrived same time as cooked course
Asked waiter to keep hot food warm whilst I ate cereal but he said it would dry out and walked away. On returning at night strange musty smell on staircase. Other than leave a poor review I originally emailed establishment with my comments but had no reply.

Location is great, atmosphere lovely! Food amazing!
Place needs some TLC, great space but very tired interior. Pigeons were also keen to come in through the window!
4.3
Great pastry. Beautiful room(s). The staff's flexible and friendly availability adds charm to this B & B. The location is also great; easy to go anywhere in town.
The room was a little chilly and the heaters did not function. The room windows do not shut properly, so
gentle breeze and street noise come into the room. But these are just minor concerns before the irresistible beauty of the room and the staff.
