This house was better than advertised. Very nice and clean. A very quiet neighborhood a d the neighbors were very helpful.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and there was plenty of room for our guests. Reading reviews will help in knowing what items are not stocked for you (I.e. toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, etc) so make sure you have those upon arrival. The fully stocked kitchen, however, was perfect for cooking large breakfasts and dinners! The porch and canal in the back are very peaceful and the neighbors were super quiet. Our guest contact was attentive and responsive to texts and did his best to address our concerns timely. I’m confident our communication with him will make future stays even better for others.

Stayed with grown kids and grands for a long weekend. Loved the house and location. Beautiful home and lots of room for our gang Bike riding, pool and beach were all we needed. House was as described and the most beautiful back deck views.

Beautiful home. Great community. Nice amenities. Furnishings were somewhat dated but still nice and in good condition. House was well equipped. Would definitely stay there again.

Enjoyed Thanksgiving at Pirates Cove with the family. The house was perfect for 9 people and had all of the necessary dishes to cook a Thanksgiving feast. Great fun had by all. Thank you.

Everything was lovely, location, ease of check in and out, great views! I would highly recommend starting the process of changing out the mattresses. Every person in our group struggled a bit with the uncomfortableness of the beds. Other than that, it is an absolutely beautiful place! Would recommend.

My crew and I rented this house to stay in during the Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament. Very nice spacious house, comfortable bedrooms, nice kitchen/socializing area, and fun pool table in the basement. Just a short golf cart ride to the marina. I recommend this house.

This house was perfect for our visit to the Outer Banks. The house was in a quiet community with beautiful marshy views and amazing sunsets. But still close enough to great seafood restaurants, wildlife refuges, beach adventures and all that Outer Banks has to offer. The house was beautiful with enough room for us to all have our own space, but still enjoy time with each other.

The only reason I'm giving this location 5 stars is because 6 stars was not available. Whatever could be said positively about the location, the property, the neighborhood, and the owner wouldn't do any of it justice. This stay was a stellar value for the amenities at hand, between riding bikes, kayaking along the marshy channels in the sound watching the river otters dance, a 5 minute drive to the Atlantic Ocean, or even the excellent staff at Pirates Cove, this place is an A+ venue.

Sunsets were stunning. House was very spacious for the 9 guests. Master suite was great. Less than 10 minutes over the bridge to Nags Head. Quiet community with plenty of amenities.

House was very spacious and the master bed room and suite was awesome. The sunsets on the back deck overlooking the water was beyond anything we could have expected. So many great photos and memories. More than enough room for the nine guests we had with us.

Perfect getaway
We enjoyed our stay in this house! The view off the back deck was amazing and closeness to town.

Dated but GREAT
This property was in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with gorgeous views. The house itself had a great layout for our party and ample space. However, the bathrooms and kitchen were very dated. It was clean but not pristine (dusty baseboards, scuffs on walls). The listing is correct in saying NO cleaning or toilet supplies provided past your first roll of tp. Both house manager and homeowner were super responsive and attentive.

Nice home and facilities but needs some TLC
The basic layout of the home is very nice. The view outside the back deck is lovely. The boardwalk and gym are both very nice. Pirates cove is a wonderful development, a nice place to run, bike ride and walk.
The house is advertised as having no supplies and I accepted this when I booked the home as I couldn't find anything else which met the needs of our large group. We were in town for a wedding. That being said, they truly mean it has very little. There were not even garbage bags or liners for the trash cans in each of the rooms. Besides salt and pepper there are no spices. The house cleaner did leave a few rolls of toilet paper, which I appreciated. There were plenty of coffee filters for the coffee maker.
Our family has used VROB to rent homes all over the country and this was the first time I booked a home with no supplies. Typically one is given a "starter kit" and if more supplies are required to buy additional supplies. If you are not planning on cooking anything then this might not be a problem but not having trash bags does pose issues.

Beautiful Home
We would most likely stay here again. The home is nicely maintained and very comfortable. My issues are that if you are flying in from another location then it’s a little difficult to stock and supply a home to clean it based on the agreement without wasting product you can’t take with you.
The house contact was never available and never responded prior to our check in and we didn’t bother to keep trying. On the day we checked in the owner of the property called the landline because he saw us on an outside camera. He had no idea that we were scheduled to be here. We’ve had reservations for about seven months.
There are ants in the bathroom on the primary floor, the water doesn’t drain in the guest bathroom on the second floor and lastly we used the kayaks on the property and one apparently had a hole in it and we were not aware until it took on water.
Our stay was still wonderful and we had a great family vacation. Just wish Evolve would communicate with the owners and the guests.

Pleasing for a family
Problem with it being a five bedroom property we expected our 3 couples and two single adults to have a place at the rental to park. Instead only three vehicles were allowed to park at the house. The other two vehicles had to park a few blocks away at the community center. We were not notified of this till we had rented the VRBO

Great location and property
We had a blast staying in Manteo. The property was amazing and accommodated us very well. The only negative (and it is SUPER small) is we had several vehicles coming as well as a boat. I emailed the property manager 3 days before and included the form they requested be filled out detailing all of the vehicles and boat we'd be bringing. Crickets. No response. So we arrived and the guard at the entrance to the community was AWESOME. Helped me document my boat (again) and gave me the tag for the duration of our stay. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place.

Beautiful house and great location
This house is great for families or a group of couples. Bedrooms were nice size and had comfortable beds. Kitchen is stocked with everything you need and is open to the living area. We had three other couples staying and it was nice that everyone had there own private bathroom. The master bedroom and bathroom is wonderful - large vanity and shower. The pool room downstairs was a nice addition for entertainment. Although it was very breezy while we were there, we enjoyed the back deck and swing downstairs overlooking Shallowbag Bay. Fantastic view of sunsets!!
The owner contacted me about an issue prior to our stay and he was very responsive to remedy the issue quickly.
I highly recommend this property.

Make sure weather good
The home was beautiful. Wish it was a TV in master bedroom. And the carpet is white which is a no no especially since it rained whole time I was there. I stressed about tracking carpet up. But I enjoyed my stay overall!

I sent multiple emails(3) and called once prior to arrival to ask if we could have a late check out and also for restaurant recommendations as we had never been to the area. We never heard back from anyone.Once we arrived, I noticed several things and emailed the property manager. You would think with the complaints that I emailed him, I would have received a response. Nope, still have not heard anything from them. I sent them a list of multiple things....below, but I was not aware of a few more issues at the time of the email. In addition, the pool table rack was broken in several places, glued and taped together. The master bedroom comforter also has stains, the other back door leading out to the porch would not lock and a table and chair set which was outside furniture was set up like a dining table in the space on the main level. Original list....1-there are cigarette butts in the drive way. None of us smoke so they are not ours. 2-the refrigerator was not clean. I took pictures of you would like me to send them.3-one of the back doors going to deck is unopenable. There are also multiple stains on the carpet going out that door.4-there is a stain in the middle of the comforter on the bed in the mid level bedroom.5-the garage door is broke . The chain is unattached, there is no way toLock the door.6-we can’t find the golf cart key. Maybe it is not for use. 7-tv speaker on the main level is distorted. Maybe busted8-the foot board in the bedroom on the main level is very loose. Appears that it has been glued.Again, I thought that the house was lovely and we enjoyed our stay. I just wanted to make them aware and ask a couple questions. I have never rented a property from VRBO and had no response. Had we had a true emergency, I don't know what we would have done.

This property in Pirates Cove is a good location for those looking to do multiple things during their stay. We dined at local restaurants, shopped at the Outlet stores, spent time on the beach, hung out at the pool, and enjoyed time hanging out in the house catching up. Some of the challenges with this property was it wasn't as polished as it appears in the pictures. The living space furniture was noticeably stained, the property didn't appear "deep cleaned" as mentioned it would be, especially during a pandemic. We ended up spending time cleaning ourselves because we didn't want to chance it once we noticed areas that weren't touched. Upon arrival, the property had "NO" toilet paper in either of the 4 bathrooms (not even anything leftover to get us started). We cooked on the grill one night out of our stay but the downside was the grill could only be used in the garage, according to instructions, instead of the obvious location which would have been on the deck where family and friends would normally gather. This property did have a golf cart, but unfortunately, we weren't able to use. It would have been convenient when it came time to go to the dumpster for trash drop-off. All on all, even with the challenges, an overall good stay.
