About this house rental
Enjoy beautiful Burnsall and the wonders of the Wharfe Valley from your base at the charming and comfortable Village Barn. Retaining much of the character and charm of its original 18th century construction, Village Barn comfortably accommodates up to 8 people with 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms and two large bathrooms on the 1st floor, all centrally heated. The ground floor has a spacious and comfortable lounge equipped with a log burner and a large, 8-seater dining room, also with a log burner. The younger set have their own TV/games room equipped with a Play Station 4 and a selection of games or use this space to watch a DVD or read a book in splendid isolation! The Barn has a well-appointed kitchen with a large induction hob and double ovens, perfect for cooking a large meal for friends and family. A Nespresso Virtuo coffee maker is provided for coffee lovers with pods available against a small donation to Mountain Rescue. A separate utility room accommodates a fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. Outside you will find a sunny barbeque area with outdoor seating. The Barn offers views over the village green and the River Wharfe to the fells beyond.

Beautiful cottage immaculate on arrival in a perfect location
4 large bedrooms with loads of room for clothes etc. All amenities offered are in an excellent condition extra plates utensils etc are provided by the host perfect for walkers within 50 metres of the local village pub with excellent food options and a great beer garden with ample seating for everyone
The village itself is great to chill out on by the river with again loads of space to have a picnic or just chill out
Enough car parking space for two average cars outside is great for a bbq just big enough to seat 6 adults but if 8 staying would be a push
I will definitely rebook this beautiful cottage in the near future

We have just returned from a week at the property and we have loved every minute. The converted barn has been renovated to a high standard and is so comfortable and cosy. Plenty of room for 6-8 people and the location next the the pub and walks is perfect. We would highly recommend this property and will be returning. Thank you so much.

A wonderful cottage. We really enjoyed our stay in Burnsall. We stayed for a family wedding and there was plenty of space for 3 generations. The children's room/games room is a lovely touch. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is fantastic in the middle of Burnsall (next to the Red Lion pub). A beautiful spot for walking and visiting nearby Bolton Abbey and other nearby attractions. We can highly recommend and would love to visit again.

Fabulous property right by the village centre with easy access to excellent walking right from the doorstep. The barn is lovely with all mod cons and facilities. There’s ample space to sit and chill both inside and out. The pub is next door and river walks within 2 minutes. Our group of friends loved it.

This was a fabulous property to stay in the delightful village of Burnsall which is located in beautiful Wharfedale. The barn conversion had ample space and it has all been decorated to a high standard. It was perfect for 4 ladies on holiday together but would comfortably accommodate the 8 people it is designed for. We were minutes from the local pub and the scenic River Wharfe with lots of walking opportunities from the doorstep. Pam also accommodated a last minute request from us which we were very grateful for. I would definitely recommend it and would stay there myself again in a heartbeat.

The property completely exceeded expectations. The situation was perfect with a view to Burnsall bridge/river. 7 family members 18-75 stayed for a wedding spread over 2 days at Barden tower. We also squeezed in some lovely walks one from the property & one to Bolton abbey. The barn was immaculate, warm & cosy we had 2 members who had to travel late on a rainy cool evening who arrived to a log fire, a hot meal & a dreamy bedroom! Thank you Pam for the logs. After a very late party on 3rd night we came back to relax with log fire & talked in total comfort for hours! The barn is everything you could ask for & one member is booking to come with friends very soon. Nothing else I can say but perfect & thank you Pam for the care you have put into other people’s holidays. Jill B

We loved staying at the Village Barn! Comfortable, historic, well-apportioned, and the location cannot be beat. This is a gem of a property to make a vacation to this amazing area particularly special.

A fabulous break in a gorgeous cottage - everything was just perfect! The cottage is stylish and well equipped. Located perfectly to explore the local area. Lots of good walks and pubs in the vicinity to keep everyone happy. Would highly recommend and would definitely return!

We had 8 people. 2 parents, 5 adult children and one granny. We all just about fitted in and the three downstairs rooms allowed us to space out. Very clean, warm and so well equipped. Weather not so great but can walk from the front door. Would come back.

This is a lovely house full of character and extremely well equipped, it was a pleasure to stay here. It's perfectly located for local amenities and picturesque walks from the door. A problem we encountered was quickly resolved with excellent communication from the owner.

Suited our needs perfectly. We travelled with a toddler in tow, so having the highchair and logfire safety gate was appreciated.
I think the location is understated on this listing- you are mere seconds from the pub and just a minute from the cafe- both of which are great- and with a beautiful backdrop perfe t for walks. We didn't realize just how special to location was until we arrived!

Our third time staying at the Village Barn in Burnsall and it was as charming and cosy as ever. Even better were the home improvement of new carpets new bathroom and repainted walls. The Village Barn is lovely and clean and well equipped, and a perfect location for glorious walks. Thank you we’ll be back again!!

Ideal property both in terms of location, character and size. Perfect for two adult couples travelling together, or a family with children. Great that the property has two bathrooms, four bedrooms and plenty of living space. Well set up cooks kitchen. Really loved our stay in the Barn!

Beautifully restored, lots of character, well equipped and the comfiest beds. Village Barn is set in idyllic location, a stones throw from the river which is great for swimming and there's a lovely pub, tearoom and ice cream shop. Pam the Host was at hand to help with any queries we had.

This gorgeous cottage is set in one of the most beautiful villages on the Dales. We used it for a week and had a wonderful time with friends visiting from the US and Middle East. The cottage is comfortable and well set up inside, very functional yet retains tonnes of character. Pam was great at communication and we had no problems the whole time. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a perfect base to explore the Dales.

This is a fantastic property with lots of amenities is a wonderful village. Just steps away from a restaurant, a coffee shop, and an ice cream parlor. A famous bridge and the village green are just steps,away. Pure relaxation. We have rented a number of properties over the years and this is amongst the best.

It would difficult to over rate our stay here. Everything is done to perfection. A complete guidebook to help you. The home is one of the best set up we have ever used. Then there is the Barn itself, it's location in the village and it's location in the Dales. For a family or group it is perfect with four bedrooms and two baths. The kitchen is amazing and very modern. We would stay there again. We would live there if we could.

We traveled from Texas to meet family and explore Yorkshire. From the beginning Pam was very attentive. This property is perfect for a family. It has everything you need and is PERFECTLY located. The Red Lion next door is a great pub with great food and they treated us so well. The village is beautiful, the Dales are spectacular, and I can honestly say it's one of the best weeks we have spent on vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay in Village Barn. Breathtaking views only steps from our doorway. We were very lucky to also have had some nice weather while we were there, which only elevated the surroundings. The property has 4 bedrooms, a beautifully appointed kitchen and plenty of space for a family. We were only two of us, so we had a bedroom each and enjoyed our space. Spent nice relaxing afternoons with a G&T at the pub, which is literally 20 steps from our door, and I was up very early each morning to go for a walk and enjoy the breathtaking surrounding views. I cannot recommend this area more, and would highly recommend Village Barn to stay. Thank you Pam for being so easy to contact and making our check-in so seamless.

This is a wonderful spot to stay at, lovely walks on your doorstep. The VIllage Barn is a well kept, well equipped and perfectly situated. The barn conversion is a lovely home with all the modern conveniences needed for a comfortable stay. Communication with the homeowner is excellent with the check in process.

A lovely well equipped cottage, in a great location. The addition of a playstation in the kids games room was well used by our grandchildren . Lovely comfy beds good quality bedding and towels.

Very much enjoyed our stay at the village barn with our daughter and her family. 4 nice sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms made it very comfortable. In a great area in the dales.

Absolutely brilliant trip in excellent accommodation. The village barn was perfect for our stay, and exceeded all expectations. Cosy, clean, spacy, super comfortable beds, lovely bedding too.

We had a really lovely stay over the Christmas week in the Village Barn. The cottage was lovely and warm and cosy, and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas. There was plenty of space for all 7 adults and our dogs, and it was really well equipped for us to be able to cook big meals for us all and enjoy them round the big dining table. Lots of lovely walks nearby, including to our favourite pub, the Craven Arms in Appletreewick, but the Red Lion next door is great too - we enjoyed an excellent Christmas dinner there. A really lovely place to stay - would highly recommend!

Very clean and well appointed and also warm in freezing conditions. We had all we needed and the number of different spaces worked very well. Red Lion cosy with good food and surrounding locality amazing for my son and his Australian family here for Xmas. Would definitely book again.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Village Barn. It’s a lovely cottage with everything you need, in a fabulous location. While we were here, we booked next year’s stay! Pam is a brilliant host and is always happy to help. Highly recommended.

We booked our wedding at a near by venue and booked Village Barn as our main accommodation.
From the start Pam has been excellent with her correspondence and nothing was too much to ask.
Village Barn had the perfect space for hair and make up, photographer etc.
It was stocked with everything you could think of.
Perfect location for other guests who stayed at the near by Red Lion.
We enjoyed a lovely walk along the river the night before the wedding which the children loved.
Would highly recommend Village Barn and a massive thank you to Pam!
