Clean and welcoming three bedroom, two bath, quaint beach cottage. Has two queen beds, a twin trundle bed and a couch that can also convert to a full-size bed. Can sleep up to eight guests comfortably. Game room area and a sun room porch to enjoy your morning coffee. Steps to the ocean and beach access area. We spent most of our time exploring the Redwoods so this home was a perfect location. The game area in the garage was nice for our teens. Unfortunately, the shower wasn’t working in the main bathroom but we managed.

My husband and 3 teenage children and i stayed at this property when we visited the Redwood National and State Forests. It was everything we could ask for. Close proximity to Jedediah Smith State Park so we got a great experience with that. Within walking distance of the ocean a stunning sunsets. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was adequate for the simple meals we made, the washer and dryer were super useful and the kids loved the gameroom. We would all recommend this property.

This was our worst VRBO stay.
There was an issue with wet carpet in the master bedroom. The wet floor was along the wall shared with the master bathroom, so we were concerned. I hope I'll be able to attach the pics to the review. Both closets had wet floor and mildew smell. The house says not to wear shoes but has wet carpet- gross.
We contacted the property manger. She said "I'll let the owners know" and then quit returning calls/texts (from us or VRBO) until check-out a week later. I didn't feel comfortable using that bathroom because i didn't want to make a problem worse. We picked this house specifically to have 2 bathrooms for a family of 4, so having this issue was annoying.
We contacted VRBO after not being able to reach the property manager, but the property manager didn't respond to VRBO either.
There were other issues with cleaning. I lost a headphone, so we had to dig in the couch and OMG- we pulled some interesting stuff out. We had to wash most dishes we pulled out of cupboards. It was ridiculous.
I wasted the first few days of our trip trying to find somewhere else to stay, but it's a popular destination, so we just stayed at this home.
The location is great, but if you need something during your stay- you're screwed.

This had 3 nice bedrooms, the master with a seperate bathroom w/shower. A roomy kitchen, Garage with washer/dryer and ping-pong and oter games. Nice sitting area on fron patio. Ocean in walking distance.

Good for family but no shampoo, not enough toilet paper or trash bags ect.. also, we all took our shoes off and our feet were black and I didn't go out to game room so floor and carpet in house made all our feet thick black

Probably one of the most accommodating properties I’ve stayed at. Most places have us strip the beds, take our trash with us, run the dish washer and run a load of laundry before our departure. However this house they simply asked us to run the dish washer, shut all the lights off and to lock the place up. That simple. The home was cozy and the perfect get away. Very clean!

This house is laid out very nicely for a family stay. Many conveniences and comfort provided. The beds are comfortable in the two main rooms but the trundle mattresses are worn down and should be replaced soon, same with the pull out hide a bed couch in back bedroom. The idea of the playroom in the garage is awesome, except there was a terrible smell in garage, maybe the flooring that was installed, we didn’t want to spend any time out there, bummer. Overall, a comfortable home and easy with the 1 year old baby crawling around!

Great place to stay
We stayed for our family vacation trip, the location is great, close to the beach.
The bedrooms have large closets, the garage has a foosball table and a ping pong table, which were a great way to spend our evenings.
However, it would be nice if the bedroom’s bathroom had a lock, also please note that seems like the garage plastic floor accumulates a lot of dirt under it and we found some ants there.
Other than that it was an awesome house and we would definitely stay here again if needed.

Cute property suited well for my family of seven
Nicely located near a park, Brother Jonathan cemetery, and beach access. Less than an mile (0.7miles is sandy, beach access and we played there several times). The location had a nice recreational area in garage and we had all we needed for meals with amt of plates and bowls and mugs/cups. Valentina was gracious and responded to my calls/messages. We hope to be back next year. 💕🌻☺️

Much Nicer than Expected
The house is much nicer & more spacious than VRBO photos may suggest and it's location is very convenient to views, Pebble Beach and other area amenities. It was clean throughout & property owner was consistently responsive & helpful despite renter-related communication issues. I have no hesitancy to stay here again.

Older home, needs TLC.
I hate giving bad reviews. I wanted to like this place. I did like it. I wish I owed it and could update it and fix it up a bit. This is an older home in need of TLC. As soon as we walked in, we were affronted with the smell of a musty old dirty home. Like a wet dog without the dog smell and a hint of the old grandparents home.
There had obviously been a leak in the master bathroom and the carpet in the master bedroom still had that crunchy feeling on the carpet of where the leak was. All the carpets are very dirty, old, matted and really need to be replaced. If not replaced, then at least a professional carpet cleaner to do a thorough deep clean.
The bed in the master was the memory foam mattress with not much support, box-spring was very noisy with every move. The couch/pullout bed in the Master is up too high and the cushions are slanted so you can't sit on it comfortably.
The twin beds are basically springs with a cover. The sheets on the top bed were dirty and had candy and hair stuck to them.
The bed in the other bedroom was just ok'ish(according to the 19 year old that slept there.) Bedding on all the beds need to be updated.
The bathtub was dirty and had a ring around it. After looking closer it didn't look like anyone had wiped either of the bathrooms shower walls. Made me wonder if they really cleaned at all after all the yuck we kept finding.
If they had a better cleaning crew, better beds & blankets, and new carpets, I would have given it 4 stars. If you are looking for a quick get away at a low price and aren't picky about your bed, bring your slippers and some room spray. Otherwise this place is perfect. The beach is just down the street. Redwood forest around the corner. Place for the whole family to hang out in the living room. Owner didn't want anyone using the fireplace. No air-hockey like the pictures show. And no darts for the dart board.
Quick tip, its not a big city, so most restaurants close early and some have different times then google shows. So plan ahead or you'll be running to the grocery store trying to find something to make for a late night dinner after a long day of hiking.

Listen to the waves while you’re sleeping
We came with a group of our family, three adults and five kids, and everyone enjoyed the stay. The covered porch was a great place to drop our sandy beach gear, the play room was a nice space, and we liked having two dining spaces so we could all sit down and eat. Beds, kitchen, and linens are stocked with bare the minimum, nothing nice or fancy. Pillows and mattresses felt pretty flimsy and not super comfy.
Overall it was a great place to crash as we ran between the beach and redwood forest. Beautiful place to visit.

Valentina Fry is more of a ghost then a host.
The area carpets were a tripping hazard. The windows were impossible to open due to poor shades. The Glade plug ins were nauseating. And I don't think all the notes were necessary. A shower caddy in the back bathroom would have been helpful. And adjusting the water wasn't easy. Don't bother sending emails to the host. Apparently she never reads them.

The blue house was beautiful, in a great neighborhood, and walking distance to the beach. It was very family friendly and well set up. We felt very comfortable there throughout our stay. The kids’ favorite part was, of course, the game room. Such a great amenity! It was enjoyed by our whole family. We were well located for the beach, the aquarium, and Trees of Mystery. Great house.

A beautiful and fun labor day weekend
We are used to one day trips from the rogue valley. The grandkids and their folks live in Klamath falls so a two night stay in Crescent city allowed for naps and meals and clean up. The house was clean and tidy, the beds were comfy and it was a good fit for our group. Bring a bike and you can check out most of the neat spots within a few easy miles. This home is in a great spot. There is ocean access within a short walk, the sandy beach is a bit farther but an easy walk.

Great house!
It is a great house and a surprise bonus is the rocky beach that is a short walk away. I would say that fregrance of the Glade plug-ins was overwhelming. We had to put them in a drawer and let the house air-out before settling in. Also the mattress in one of the kids rooms was terrible and needs to be replaced ASAP. Luckily there was another mattress under the same bed that we could use. Overall a good house. We would stay there again. Crescent City is a cool place, but it seems like kind of a depressed tow. It needs more restaurants and other things catering to the traveling tourists seeing the redwoods and Smith river. The local Thai restaurant was excellent.

What a wonderful property! It had a very homey feel to it and had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay. It was close to the Redwoods and Oregon is just a few miles away, too.It was basically just across the street from the beach. There is a house directly across, but beach access is just a short walk down the street.Valentina, the property manager, was available for all our inquiries and went above and beyond when I thought I had left something behind. She was a marvel!I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!
