Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Location was close to hospital.
I booked a room woth 2 queens and a pull out. Upon arriving to the hotel, I was given a king woth a pull-out which was not enough for 5 guests. I was still charged for the 2 queen room. I had to buy a blow up mattress as I was told a rollaway wouldn't fit in the room. There were only 2 towels in the bathroom for 5 people. The swimming pool water was thick, like hand sanitizer. It is also not as big as pictured on the website. There were also no towels available in the pool, although there were many used towels lying around. The breakfast was cooked by a chef, but with 20 people in line waiting for their order, and nothing left in the others areas of the breakfast buffet (cereal, yogurt, toast, muffins, fruit, and drinks) we were not able to eat breakfast. The website states there are crackers and drinks from 430-7, this was not available. Had to park in a public parking ramp, which is $23/day. This was not made known on the website. There is no place to park in front of the hotel to check in.

Location was great and hotel was clean
There was a loud banging at 12:30 am that woke me up, but that was it.

the location is just great. very upscale urban setting for a incurably low rate, especially for a Saturday night in a college town. the facility was clean and the staff was kind and a delight to wrk with. I will be staying there again!!

Maybe more hot food selections

The breakfast was wonderful, the staff did a great job preparing the meals. The location is perfect, if one wants to enjoy downtown Iowa City. Great place to stay when in that area.
The one day I put the sign out to clean my room, it did not get cleaned.

Staff were super nice and helpful.
Fans were blowing loudly on the ceiling which was very disturbing especially at night. We asked what happened and found out that there was a fire on that floor and they were drying out the ceiling. The management probably should have closed that floor until everything was back to normal. As for our room, it said that it would sleep 6. The room could only sleep maybe 4 comfortably. It could not hold our entire family comfortably.

Very good breakfast with hand prepared food. Bathroom and shower were well appointed and quite stylish. My wife lived the cappuccino machine in the lobby.
Needed more facial tissue. Front desk was not staffed most of time.

This hotel has great decor, and the location can't be beat. The bed was quite comfortable, and the room was quiet.
Unfortunately, the Covid mitigation procedures are essentially nonexistent. The desk attendant wore a mask, but housekeeping employees were unmasked in elevators (and presumably also in rooms). The people preparing breakfast also wore no masks. This is an airborne virus! I realize it's Iowa, but at the very least, the (now very obviously inaccurate) "vaccinated guests don't need masks" signs could be taken down and replaced with something that reflects the latest science.

Hotel was nice. Rooms was great, price was great and downtown location was perfect
Wish the pool would’ve been opened and the breakfast wasn’t much to brag about

Good location in Iowa City
Cost of room 350 a night since it was game day in Iowa City. Television didn’t work in first room and then moved to another room. Tried to watch Iowa football game on the tv but hotel didn’t have the Big Ten network. Hard to believe hotel doesn’t have the Big Ten network when Iowa is in the Big Ten and hotel is where a lot of football fans stay. Also no hot breakfast and basically nothing for breakfast. For 350 a night a complete rip off. Will not stay here again. Thanks

Very handy and convenient.

Liked room size and comfort. Liked that there was a pull-out couch since we had 5 people. Liked location as we were there to see the college. Liked breakfast included.
Price was a little higher than wanted but not unreasonable. Didn't realize that there wasn't parking on-site when booked and was an additional daily charge. Happily though, we were there when an event was going on so parking ended up being free.

Breakfast was quite basic (yogurt cups, wrapped sweetrolls, energy bars); however, the coffee was excellent. The room itself was lovely and spacious with a nice kitchenette area, large and plush bed facing large Smart TV. Great views out the windows but also great that the windows had pull down privacy shades that kept the light out at night. Very quiet although right downtown. The check-in folks were stellar--very helpful and pleasant.
What made this hotel less than stellar was the odd parking arrangement which was not well marked. It was covered and there was access to the hotel from the parking garage, but from the outside that was not at all apparent. One had to go down a long flight of stairs and along a long corridor to get to the front desk check-in if coming in from the garage. This was awkward with my suitcases. Once on the main floor, there were elevators to other floors/the rooms, etc.

Great location! Clean lobby and rooms. Great breakfast (had prepackaged, fruit, and some made to order food). Has a complimentary happy hour around 5:30 in the lobby.
