Quite comfortable accommodation in easy reach of lots of attractions

The property was clean and the layout was great, the beds were very comfortable. The property is in a nice quiet area with great views and only a few minutes walk to the centre of town.

The cottage was only a base to attend a wedding in Barnard Castle but it was so much more than I expected I didn’t want

It had everything we needed, was so comfortable and the finishing touches were amazing from the huge comfy sofa to the beautiful cushions and artwork. Everything was such a high standard and the location was fantastic too.

Great location, lovely facilities including sun trap backyard with chairs and table. Good quality furnishings and nice bit of luxury. Easy walk into town and nice outlook to the park.

Loved the cottage. Great location, very cosy and relaxing stay.

The noisy upstairs floorboards were a little tricky when trying to keep 2 young children asleep. That's all really, we will definitely be back

Everything about the stay ! The views were amazing, the location brilliant, the property was perfect, and right next to our favourite pub The Blue Bell .

Fabulous stay, complimentary welcome pack really appreciated. Very clean and good loication

Floorboards top of landing and 2nd bedroom made a lot of noise. Not able to be quiet through night/ early mornings.

Peaceful & very comfortable stay, perfectly positioned for exploring the town.

Beautiful property with a front view across a park, & a lovely comfortable settee in the living room at the back. Another review mentioned neighbours but they are incredibly quiet which made the whole stay very tranquil. Perfectly positioned for exploring the town, including Bowes Museum and the castle, we were here to see a comedian at The Witham in the town centre. Very comfortable beds.

The only bit that avoided it being rated a 10/10 was the loud bathroom fan and squeaky floorboards upstairs. Very minor in the scale of things

.Attractive cottage - central position

Size of rooms, well equipped, comfortable beds and sofa. Near castle and Bowes Museum and looking onto Desmesnes open grassy area.

Back yard was uninteresting. Stove difficult to use. Another shelf in bathroom would be useful. Rails in bedroom cupboards are odd heights - dress one too high - need to be 6 ft tall at least.
