Location was perfect for exploring the Peak District, far enough from busy roads, but with easy access to multiple routes. As for the apartment, everything was great, very clean and tidy. The hosts were friendly and approachable! Everything was perfect for our short stay! No hesitation in recommending this apartment.

The location was perfect a real getaway location so was the views they were fantastic all around the cottage. Also the walks were very close by and easy to find and enjoyable with lots to see.
We both found the bed uncomfortable but we suggest a topper would sort that problem. Every thing else was great. We had problems with the Wifi but Sue was great trying to sort the problem out with Bt how ever we did manage to survive.

clean tidy and everything you need

Location good for getting around the Peak District. If you like Alton Towers that is a doddle to get to. Host excellent and helpful. Good parking, very clean holiday home with good views (when it isn't raining!). The Milk Barn boasts an electric settee which was a very comfortable plus. Plenty of cupboard space & mod-cons.
Ashbourne not far away (for supplies & cheap-ish fuel) and has some nice churches to wander around if you of a mind. Ilam worth a look, and only 12 mins drive. Take binoculars to get most out of views... a good stay, thanks.
Sliding door to the bathroom not the best fit in the world.

We stayed at the Milk Barn last week and had the most enjoyable time. It was gorgeously presented, clean, and comfortable with everything provided that you would need. We will definitely be booking in again!

Beautiful views, quiet, private and relaxing. Comfortable and clean. Equipped with everything we needed.
Frosting in bathroom window. Larger bin in kitchen with peddle. TV signal kept breaking up. Slightly wobbly table.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and had everything there that you would need. The views of the surrounding countryside were amazing. The Milk Barn is nicely situated to visit all tourist attractions.

Spotlessly clean, peaceful and relaxing. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The scenery was amazing . A much needed rest.
Only thing was the weather and no one can change that lol.

The cleanliness and small details like providing a pint of milk, tea and coffee. It was so quiet and peaceful with the silence broken only by chattering Magpies!

Lovely location, great views and very friendly hosts. Thank you, we would happily stay again

Oh my goodness, we have honestly never been so sad to leave anywhere as we are on leaving The Milk Barn The location and views from The Milk Barn are chocolate box stunningly beautiful. Add to that the gentle sounds of nature and you really do feel as though you are in a little piece of heaven on earth. A sense of peacefulness just envelopes you.
The Milk Barn internally is lovely and airy. Everything is pristine and so immaculately clean you would think you are the first visitors. Access to The Milk Barn is via a lovely 2 car width lane with the Milk Barn on your right.
Ashbourne Town with its bunting is approximately a 15minute drive away with a Marks & Spencer & Sainsburys on the outskirts of the town. The town itself has numerous eateries and shops with a great fish & chip shop in the Market Square. Whichever direction you choose to take, you are spoilt for choice with incredible scenic drives through the countryside and pretty villages including the Peak District.
The Milk Barn is not overlooked by the owners but they are very close to hand should you need something. We had the pleasure of meeting them and they are truly the most lovely and helpful couple you could ever wish to meet. We are genuinely missing them and The Milk Barn already and wish we were still there. If we could give a higher score than 10/10 we would.

The quiet, the view, the facilities, the wildlife, being a non touristy area, the walks, the village and locals who were chatty and knowledgeable. Just great.

Loved it. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable with gated off street parking. We also had the use of the garage to store our bikes. The location is very peaceful with great views and there are plenty of footpaths and quiet lanes in the area if you want to walk directly from the village. The owners were very nice and welcoming. Perfect place to unwind
Can't think of anything. Suited our requirements completely

The location is convenient for both Alton tower and Peak District hiking.
The cottage is very comfortable and we had all things we needed there.
The landlords are very friendly. We arrived much later than planned and got a bit lost driving in the darkness. The landlords helped us patiently.

The bathroom window could have some frosted contact sheet on the glass as we only managed to find the "modesty screen" at the end of the trip when we found the IKEA bag for taking off bedding etc 😂
To be honest, we didn't know what it was!

Really lovely location and close to very nice pubs, town and attractions. The barn is very cosy, clean and pleasant, and the hosts were very welcoming.
Nothing to dislike, the only thing I would’ve liked to have known before arriving is all of the facilities at the barn which weren’t on the website. For example, it didn’t say there were towels provided so we brought our own which weren’t needed.

The Milk Barn was a wonderful property in every way. We loved everything about it. However the bed was not as comfy for us being very senior citizens but we are not making it an issue of this at all.

Lovely relaxing location with exceptional views. Extremely comfortable accommodation with all the facilities you'll need for your stay. Our hosts, Sue & Mark are lovely and were extremely helpful with their knowledge of the area.
Added bonus, if your into your walking, there are plenty of public footpaths within easy reach of the front door.
Enjoy, we did.
