Loved the place

The village is exceptionally attractive and plenty of interest locally.
I wrote a poem while there - which includes the presence of the A14 a few fields away. Happy to share it.
NB The A14 was not audible from the property itself and not a problem
A bath (but didn't expect one)

The cottage was everything that it said it would be and better.

I cannot express adequately enough how wonderful this property is! From the moment I was met by Ann and helpfully shown round the property to when I left the keys with Mark on leaving my whole stay was pure joy. It was the 'hide-away' from a busy life that I needed. Little touches like fresh apples from the tree in the garden to watching squirrels and pheasants search for their breakfasts while I ate mine in the conservatory were the icing on the cake. As a single traveler it is rare to find such a well-equipped, self-catering property of such character at an affordable price.
Had I been staying for longer I would have asked if the shower could have been made hotter, but it was perfectly adequate.

Absolutely perfect stay in a gorgeous cozy cottage in a beautiful setting, if we were to visit Cambridge again there would be no hesitation to stay at the old post office again.

We loved everything about this house. It was small but we never felt cramped, very traditional but with all the facilities we needed. The perfect base for visiting family in the area.
Everything was great.

The old post office is so comfortable and relaxing with beautiful surroundings and village to explore. The peace and quiet and the calm feel of the house is perfect for re charging and visiting local areas.

Although near the village main road it was very quiet and peaceful. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. We loved seeing the ducks which roam around the village near the hall, on the day we left one waddled right passed our open front door and quacked at us before going on his way.
With the position of the cottage there isn't space for parking outside, we were aware of this before arriving and parking at the top of the lane outside the village hall was fine. This wasn't really a problem to us but the stairs are very steep.

Ann was so accomodating and ever so helpful. We had a minor blip with the shower and Ann had it seen to and fixed immediately.

Cottage was ideal as we were visiting family nearby. Although very near busy roads it is in a lovely quiet village It is set in beautiful grounds. Ann was very welcoming and we intend returning at some time.
No dishwasher but actually we didn’t cook and there was only 2 of us so didn’t find it a problem. Kitchen very well equipped with everything else.

The cottage was lovely and cosy, beautifully renovated with lots of the original features still present. The location is really idyllic and Ann, our host, was fantastic- really hospitable and friendly. We also felt really sure that it was all clean and covid safe which was a big weight off our minds.
