About this house rental
This charming 1816 home is just a 5 minute walk to the Mystic Drawbridge and the marinas where you can dock your boat. There is a large porch to relax on during the day, overlooking the garden. Perfect for people watching while sipping a mimosa! The yard is fully fenced in, so your furry friend is free to roam. We are near dozens of restaurants and shopping, just a short drive to Watch Hill beaches, and 20 minutes to the casinos. This is the perfect Mystic getaway for a romantic weekend, family time, or a friends trip. Please note before booking and read the reviews:
The house is located on a main road and is noisy when trucks go by, and backing out of the driveway is hard. There’s free parking across the street if you prefer. It’s a very old house (1816), and so the staircase to upstairs is narrow, and the ceilings are on the lower side.
There are 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. The bedrooms and full bath are upstairs and half bath is downstairs.

Quaint old house very close to downtown Mystic. Wonderful porch that we spent a lot of time on. If you’re looking for an older home full of charm this is it. Walking distance to shops and dining. Property is located on a very busy street with off street parking. Host very friendly and easy to work with.

Very cool spot if you’re looking to hang around Mystic or want to roll over to Mohegan, several golf courses around as well. House was well maintained and very comfy. Thanks!

The house is within easy walking distance to Mystic's downtown. We'd walk to dinner, grab an ice cream, and visit the bookstore. The porch has comfortable seating--we spent two nights out there chatting and resting. The kitchen is terrific! And the coffee maker is easy to use!

Welcoming historic home within a short walk to all the best of everything in downtown Mystic. Wonderful front porch with comfortable furniture, perfect for a morning cup of coffee, breakfast, lounging, book reading, drinks... you name it! The beautiful small yard/garden in front of the porch is shaded and well taken care of. My small dog appreciated the fenced-in room to roam, and the surprise of a few well-loved dog toys under flowers!
Well-equipped modern kitchen, lots of space for whipping up food for my group. A small half bath – (sink and toilet) off the kitchen is convenient. Did not use the outside grill - but nice that it was available. Cookware, dishes, utensils and glasses were plenty for my group of 4. Soap, towels, sponges, and cleaning supplies all available. Thoughtfully filled Brita with cold water in the fridge on arrival, and coffee, tea, creamer and spices in the cabinets. Immaculately clean!
Games and puzzles on the bookshelf, and a big table to play on in the dining room. Small but comfortable LR with leather couch. TV never went on - but it was there! Bedrooms all upstairs - clean and comfortable. Stairs are predictably narrow and steep as fitting this historic home. No central air, but AC window units downstairs and in all bedrooms kept us super cool on a very hot few days. The bathroom upstairs is small but has everything we need for 4 adults, including lots of clean linens. VERY comfortable beds, soft sheets and ample pillows.

This property is very convenient for a visit to USCGA as well as walking distance to all of the wonderful restaurants and shops in Mystic. Highly recommend renting here. Kitchen is well stocked, porch and family room are comfortable. Owner is exceptionally responsive. The house is on a very busy street, getting out of the driveway is dangerous. We worked around it by parking on a side street just a few steps from the front door.

Enjoyed a relaxing weekend at this charming property. Location was perfect and it literally is only a few minutes walk into Mystic center. We were able to enjoy exploring Mystic without the usual long lines of traffic! House is well equipped and Kayla was super helpful and responsive to any communication

The home is perfectly located to all the places you would want to walk to. The home was clean and and the directions were clear. I would love to come back to this home with my family. I also appreciated being able to do a night rental during the busy season.
I appreciated being able to park right on the property and was able to navigate getting in and out safely but it's important to be patient as it's a busy road which the owner was very upfront about. With it being a busy road, It was still comfortable inside and outside noise was never a problem.

We stayed here for my son’s graduation. It was perfect: Very clean, well stocked with necessities, and comfortable. It was a real perk to be able to bring our 2 small dogs and have a fenced in backyard. The porch is a lovely place to hang out. Communication and logistics were excellent. I highly recommend!

We loved staying at this home in Mystic. The location was perfect. We walked into town and had dinner and breakfast. The house was perfect for us. We sat on the porch and relaxed. The owner was quick to respond when we had questions and accommodated our request to stay a little later on our last day. The house was clean and had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful weekend away in Mystic. The house was perfectly located to allow us to walk into town to enjoy the shops, bars and restaurants. After buying a couple of jazz LPs and a lovely bottle of wine in town, we made full use of the open fire and chilled out to enjoy our purchases! The house itself is well stocked and the main bedroom was comfortable.

The only thing that outshined the house was the host! The communication was always very prompt and helpful.

We had a fantastic stay! Kayla was incredibly communicative and we had no problems with the check in and out process. The house is charming, cozy, and well kept—the perfect size for our three person group. The location can’t be beat—we loved that we could walk to the downtown area and didn’t have to worry about parking. As other reviews have mentioned, getting out of the driveway can be tricky and the hill up to the house definitely gave us a workout! Totally worth it though—we hope to be back!

We had a great stay in Mystic! Kayla was a helpful and attentive host. The house was centrally located so we were able to get to all the local attractions. Kayla’s historic house was roomy and comfortable. This home was well stocked with all the amenities that made for an enjoyable stay. The only challenge was the driveway which opened onto a busy street. We solved that problem by parking on a side road across the street. The outside porch was great. Busy traffic is sometimes noisy but we were out so often that it didn’t bother us.

What a wonderful experience!! The location of the house was perfect, just a short walk to Mystic Pizza and the shops. Kayla was so accommodating and got back to me right away when I had questions. I highly recommend staying here. The parking was a bit tricky as stated so I parked across the street which was a lot easier to come and go.

Kayla’s home was the perfect spot for our stay with four people for a week! She saved the day after a previous rental from another app we had booked canceled on us a month or two before we were supposed to check in. It was for the week of our wedding, so we really needed a home base in Mystic for the week. Kayla’s house has everything we needed for a great stay! Like most houses in Mystic, the house is on the older side, but it was very clean and thoughtfully decorated with all the amenities to make for a comfortable stay. Kayla was incredibly kind, flexible, and responsive throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend!

The location was lovely— the driveway was a little tricky (as stated in description) but wasn’t hard to get out of at all…. Everyone was very patient in the area!
The house was a perfect location to get around town without having to drive everywhere— definitely has its old school charm (creaky floors and a few drafts here and there) but perfect for a small group and had plenty of space- we loved it! The side porch— PERFECT for morning coffee or a glass of your favorite libation, especially on those rainy days. You’re on a busy street, but it’s still quite private.
Kayla was a lovely host and we can’t thank her enough for giving us so many ideas for things to do and where to eat— our weekend trip was all we could have asked for!

Stay was great. House was perfect size and patio/porch was amazing. Location was prime and walking distance to downtown.
Only complaint would be there was no body wash except a used, almost finished bar of soap, and also there were only 4 dinner plates / bowls to be shared with everyone.
Other than that it was great.

This home was just perfect for us! It was super clean, and had a terrific location in the historic district. The porch and beautifully landscaped fenced yard was an added bonus. We were aware that the house was close to the road, and the street noise was not a real issue.The owner was very responsive and flexible. We hope to be back to Mystic again, and will definitely try to stay here!

Kayla's property is exactly as depicted and does an amazing job of combining the charm of the old houses of the area with just the right amount of modern updates. Everything was clean, comfortable and more than we could have asked for. Kayla was easy to reach and wonderful to work with.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house was very clean and so charming! The location was awesome for walking to town to enjoy the shopping and the restaurants. The drive way is a little tricky as it is kind of on a slight bend in the road but not a big deal. Kayla was extremely responsive and very helpful!

Kayla was an excellent host and very communicative! She was flexible with check out times and we were able to check in an hour earlier which was great. The house was clean and well stocked for a small weekend stay. Beds were comfy but the couch was a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, great location and no complaints!
