Our location is incredibly well-suited to the quintessential Mystic experience. The historic downtown is a few blocks away and the wonderful Mystic Seaport is less then a 15 minute walk. We're so close to Mystic Pizza (from the Julia Roberts movie Pretty Woman) you can pick up a few pies and enjoy them back home before the cheese stops bubbling! Then there's the Mystic Aquarium, the diner, and a handful of things to see, do, eat, and drink. We share detailed recommendations and favorite picks with guests upon booking.
We are located on a quiet side street, just steps away from the famous Mystic Downtown. Our driveway is steep and narrow. It can accommodate two small to mid size cars. You may need to drop off passengers before pulling all the way in. There is usually parking on the street as well.
There are a few steps to access the front porch and enter the house. There is a bedroom and full bathroom on the first floor. The other bedrooms and bathrooms are on 2nd floor with steep stairs.
The outside areas are scenic (limited views of the river and drawbridge) and spectacular. We ask that when using our outside spaces, you respect our neighbor's right to quiet enjoyment.
The most important House Rule is, respect our neighbors and community. Mystic is a quaint, coastal New England town. As hosts, and guests, we share in the responsibility of keeping Mystic a great place to visit, and to LIVE. Honor the noise ordinance. Loved our stay here! The house is actually larger than it seems in the photos. Plenty of room for everyone. Three full baths are quite a treat! The house was spotless and its location to downtown Mystic cannot be beat. Literally, a 5 minute walk and you're in the center of town. No worries about parking when going out to dinner on a busy night in town. Check in and communication with Gerard was perfect. He's quick to respond to all questions! Would rent again without hesitation.

Our stay in Groton/Mystic was fantastic thanks to this fantastic property! Gerard keeps a pristine home with every charm we could have hoped for. We dined inside and outside, slept comfortably upstairs and down, and enjoyed many walks to town immediately around the corner. We have already started thinking about our next trip north and without question, this home is at the top of the shortest list!

This property is perfect for enjoying Mystic. It's walking distance to everything and so charming. The hosts are so welcoming and thoughtful. There are starter amenties and it's as close to a hotel or bed and breakfast as you can get for comfort. We loved it and would definitely stay here again!

The town is great for adults and families. There's plenty of places in Mystic and the surrounding area to eat, shop, and sites to see for everyone. Then there's the house we stayed in, you couldn't ask for a nicer house and location. Everything we did in Mystic proper we walked to. We did have great weather for walking. The house was wonderful, it was clean and well maintained, it was spacious and there was plenty of furniture, inside and outside to relax. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked if you choose to cook your meals. There's also a couple of outside patios and a porch to relax or have a meal after grilling outside. Maybe the best VRBO home we've ever stayed at. Lastly, you can tell the owner wants you to have the best experience you've ever had. He checked in with us once or twice, without being nosy or pushy, to make sure we were happy and assure us if there was anything we needed, just ask. He gets right back to you.

Six of us stayed to celebrate a bachelorette. The house was clean, large with plenty of beds and seating and outdoor spaces, and well stocked. Its the perfect location to walk to a ton of restaurants, shopping, etc and it was great to just park and walk the where we needed to be all weekend. Gerard was very responsive and helpful and accommodating.

This house suited us perfectly for our Mystic vacation. My husband and I and our two daughters and their family were there. The four bedrooms and three bathrooms were perfect. Each family had their own bath. This house is big and spacious! It had a great deck out back with a table that fit all of us. We were 6 adults and 3 littles 3 years and under!

The property is absolutely lovely. The beautiful kitchen is well appointed and thoughtfully stocked. We enjoyed the comfortable furniture and charming decor. Our only idea for additional equipment is to add a tea kettle. One small concern was that the control knob in the upstairs bathtub fell off - I think it just needs a small screw. Not a big problem because I was still able to use it carefully. Also, I was heating a washcloth in the microwave to apply to my leg cramp and I left it in too long. I scorched the cloth and had to throw it out. My apologies! We are looking forward to out getaway next year and will look for a property in your group! Thank you!

The property, accommodations and location could not be more perfect. Gerard is a super friendly and communicative host. The check-in and check-out process was the easiest I've experienced so far. The home is very spacious and charming - and immaculately clean (including all dishware and utensils, which I always pay particular attention to). The rooms are all extremely comfortable and sunny with TVs in every room.
And the location cannot be beat. It was a joy to step out and walk directly into Mystic downtown. If you want a quaint, comfortable and picturesque stay choose this home in Mystic for your next trip.
We cannot wait to come back and stay here again.

The home is ideal even better than the description and photos. We loved the location, spacious rooms indoor and comfortable outdoor living areas as well. The fully stocked kitchen, bathrooms with child's step stools & first aid kits, and nice book, puzzle & toy collections truly made the rental feel like home (without the worries or cares). Such fun to be able to walk to pizza, ice cream, book shops, the most delicious bakery and much more. The worry free check out was icy on the cake. This was the best rental experience.

My friends and I stayed here for a birthday weekend and really enjoyed ourselves immensely. The property is beautiful, the location is literally perfect (2 mins walk to anywhere in downtown Mystic), and the host - Gerard, was really helpful and kind. Overall we will definitely be returning if we can!

This really is a gem. IMMACULATE. It was just my sister and me. Furnishings were incredibly comfortable and clean, with a beautiful selection /mix of antiques & you can see there was careful thought put into the décor and design of the home- thank you for keeping the original elements, like the pocket doors and the fabulous original wide-plank flooring throughout both levels. Excellent floorplan. Quiet. Awesome outdoor spaces. Brand new driveway and you could tell it was painstaking to do any refurbishing. Kitchen is AMAZING! We planned to eat dinner out each night, but decided to stay in and cook together. They have thought of everything - food wraps, super sharp knives (look new), condiments, and the appliances appear new - so clean! Complimentary baskets of possible needs in each bathroom (make-up towels, micellar water, cotton cleansing pads, etc.). Owners are only a call or text away and are immediately responsive. For our stay, they actually contacted us ahead of check in to let us know the home was ready to check in- we REALLY appreciated that. This would be a perfect family rental - so much room, indoor and out and walking distance to the main avenue of shops and restaurants by the bridge. We will definitely be back. Can I give them 20 stars?

My family of five spent the long Easter weekend in Mystic and had the most amazing time. The home is so well-acquainted. My family had room to spread out, but also enjoyed the cozy living space to all be together. Gerard is the most wonderful host. He touched base at check-in and his company provides thoughtful amenities at the property. We would definitely go back!

What a beautiful home! We are 4 couples who have been friends since high-school and have spent many New Year's Eve together. This year, we decided to stay a few days at a VRBO and ring in the new year so no one would have to drive home after the ball dropped. Mystic was a perfect midway point and this Sunny Victorian fit the bill perfectly. The home is wonderfully historic with all the necessary updates. We were able to create a gourmet dinner with the well appointed kitchen, sleep in cosy bedrooms and walk to restaurants, shopping and the river. Gerard was a fabulous host, checking in with us regularly and even giving us a bit of history about the house. He even worked with us with a delayed departure on New Year's morning so we could sleep in. Would we recommend staying here? In a minute! It might be a New Year's tradition for our group.

My mom, daughter and I had a girls weekend in Mystic. This place was perfect. Great location to walk to shops and restaurants and close enough to drive to attractions. The house was beautifully decorated, lots of space both inside and out, very comfortable and clean. Gerard was great with communications, quick to answer any questions and anticipated things we might ask about by providing an online guide to the house and the area.

Our extended family spent four nights in this VRBO and had a wonderful time! There was more than enough sleeping room for us (Two grandparents, 4 adults, 2 children, one dog) and the house layout was perfect for family together time, especially the flow of kitchen to living space and large outdoor dining table (which we used for every meal at home). The location was perfect with a walk-able playground for the kids, nice sidewalks for dog-walking, and easy access to Mystic (Restaurants, shops, etc). The house was very clean, and we appreciated that bedding and soap/shampoo were included. Those things made it easy to settle right in and start our unforgettable vacation.
Overall Gerard and his team were easy to work with, and we look forward to returning to this home, or perhaps trying another Great Gull Island vacation property!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful old historic home. The property was exceptionally well cared for- clean, welcoming and very large! We loved the home, the patios, and the location could not have been better. The host, Gerard, was one of the best hosts I’ve ever dealt with. He was immediately responsive to a couple of minor glitches (most likely due to the deluge of rain on our first day). We are already planning our next stay in this beautiful home.
