Beautifully renovated old building - small yet perfect for the two of us, including kitchen facilities! Thoughtful touches including goodies and essentials left for us, and great information about the area. Wood burning stove was a real treat!
Location was more remote than we expected - but beautiful, quiet village.

The clever conversion was cosy and comfortable. I was sad that it was warm and I had no opportunity to light the wood burner. I may go back in colder weather just to hunker down and be cosy. Everything you need is there including some supplies in the fridge. The quiet location was ideal for exploring the area.

I was very surprised there was no freezer, only a fridge.

Our stay at The Dovecote was perfect. The location is quiet and peaceful yet fairly near to Saffron Walden and Cambridge.
The Dovecote is clean and comfortable and has a great shower. Good place for a couple to stay. Parking is just outside the front of the building. We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay here!

Extra drawer space in the bedroom would be needed for two.

it looked stunning and exactly like the photos. we loved it. small enough to be cute and comfortable, but big enough to have space. amazing find.
little bit cut off, no phone signal so heavily reliant on Wi-Fi so when that went down briefly we were cut off.
can’t really be helped though so not really a downer.

The Dovecote is an excellently renovated property set in an agricultural, rural location. The interior has been completed to a very high standard. The woodburner was a welcome feature: there was snow on the ground with sub-zero temperatures when we visited. The bathroom is lovely, the bedroom is comfortable and the downstairs living area is very welcoming. We'd visit again!
As it's self-catering, the addition of a freezer drawer within the fridge would be beneficial, but there's really not much to say against this property. ('Restaurant' is mentioned in some of the information, but this isn't the case and I suspect just a tick box error somewhere.)

Really nicely converted dovecote, everything we needed for our stay and set in beautiful countryside. Great communication with the owner.

Bottle of bubbles in the fridge nice touch. Amazing bedroom with extremely comfortable bed, amazing shower.
Plenty of kindling and logs for fire. Loved the underfloor heating.
Sofa not big enough for a couple to snuggle up.

Location and attention to detail by the owner, very good!

Excellent communication. Beautiful quiet area. Lovely interiors.

The Dovecote is a very unique property. we loved the vaulted roof, the brick floor downstairs and the fixtures and fittings which were all perfect for their surroundings.
There was nothing we didn’t like about the Dovecote.

Great secluded location, very friendly pub (The Bull) in walking distance. Staffron Walden town is only a 15/20 minute drive away. Very clean, well maintained, rustic, cosy property.

Awesome conversion. Very nicely decorated. Very clean. A lot of literature about the area. A lot of staple food items in the fridge. While I didn't get the chance to use it, the outside seating looked very nice.
Quite hard to find, could do with a signpost from the road. Hairdryer was a little old and underpowered. Otherwise faultless.

A germ of a place - completely away from everything , in a beautiful location, yet still a central spot to where we wished to visit
Some information left at property regarding local shops for milk etc

The Dovecote is a beautifully restored building. Quiet & peaceful, set in the stunning countryside.
The little hamlet of Langley Green is like stepping back in history. We had easy access to walks, historic towns & gardens.

Very comfortable accommodation with many original touches. Felt completely at home.
Nothing, please keep it as it is!

So many little extras. Bottle of bubbly, fresh eggs and milk in the fridge etc.
Nothing - everything was perfect

We had an absolutely brilliant stay. Mel was so communicative ahead of time and gave us some great pointers on things to to locally. The property itself is just lovely. Every detail is thought of and with the wood burner going it is so cozy. Fantastically well appointed and the most comfortable bed. We will certainly be back and cannot recommend it highly enough.
Nothing at all :)
