Cook up your daily catch for friends & family in the "over the top" backyard entertainment space. Complete with a private heated pool with waterfall and large lawn area - this will be the go to spot for friends and family!
The interior of this newer home is just as amazing. Great floor plan with view of the pool that can be enjoyed from almost every room. The kitchen is bright and airy with white cabinetry, new electric cook top, stainless steel appliance package and center island. The Treasure Beach community is a rare find! Situated on the quieter, southern end of Anastasia Island, the community enjoys a canal system that offers direct deep water access (no bridges). Enjoy a night 'out' in your own backyard at one of the many wonderful eateries nearby.
The beach is just a short 2 minute drive away.
The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, there’s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought. Further south is Marineland where you can swim with dolphins!
The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill. There are always concerts at St. Augustine Amphitheatre and events at Francis Field as well. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself!
Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.
The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup.
If you have a large family and need a second location please inquire with the host about our other property that is nearby.
The fishing dock is not a floating dock and the canal depth rises and falls with the tides, the middle of the canal is still approx. 6ft even with low tide. If you decide ot try to dock a boat, you will have to make sure that you have enough line attached to your boat so that when the tide goes out the boat stays in the middle of the channel. The best place to rent a boat is probably at Devil's Elbow. We would encourage you to rent it for the day and then return it back to Devil's elbow at the end each day. Devil's elbow is just down the road, maybe a 5-minute drive away.
The pool heater thermostat is set to a temperature between 78 and 85 degrees F, depending on the time of the year. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.
We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.
EV Charging: There is a fee of $5 per day if you will be charging an electric vehicle at the home.

We stayed at the salty beach retreat house for a week and enjoyed every minute of our stay.
We had zero complaints about the property the rooms the beds and amenities. Kids loved the pool after our hot beach days, we had plenty of room for our entire group of 7 as well as had several guests who stayed a night also. It was all perfect, WE WIL BE STAYING AGAIN!!!

This home was an amazing place for our first vacation with our adult children. Plenty of room for the 6 of us with king sized beds in 3 of the bedrooms and queen bunks in another which thrilled our granddaughter. The street is very quiet and peaceful and the pool was a great alternative to the beach for those who wanted to stay “home”. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and cocktails, including a blender for frozen ones. We enjoyed the covered eating/gathering area by the pool which includes a decent size charcoal grill. Also, we enjoyed s’mores cooked over the fire pit. Each room has a large tv to enjoy streaming or included Roku shows. David, Patti and Jen are quick to respond if we had a question or need. Would highly recommend this lovely home and will definitely book again in the future. Thanks for an amazing clean and safe place to enjoy our beach stay;)

We stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The house is immaculate and represented well from the description. We did not have any issues and the property managers were available as needed. The neighborhood is quiet and the pool was a great way to end each day after the beach. We will definitely return to St. Augustine!

We had the best time on our return trip to Salty Retreat! The new furniture updates made our stay even more comfortable. The well furnished kitchen makes cooking at home easy and the beds are comfy for a great night’s sleep. We love being close to the beach, having pool time at the house, and fishing the canal. The fire pit is fun for s’mores in the evening.

This property was perfect for us, our adult children, their kids and fur babies. Everyone had a great time. The pool, the jacuzzi and the fire pit were all big hits. The outdoor space was amazing, plenty of room inside, quiet neighborhood. Fished off the dock but didn’t catch anything. Caught a flounder in the inlet. Several beaches very close to the house made for great walks and watching sunrises. Close to historic St Augustine, lots of restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is awesome. We stayed for 3 weeks in January and loved every minute. The pool stayed in the 80's the whole visit, despite chilly nights. The outdoor area is awesome, with plenty of well lit dining space and a lovely little side yard for the dogs.
The kitchen is very well stocked, with everything you could ever want. It even has sharp chef's knives.
The beds were mostly comfy for our group. The only minor complaints were that the bunk bed was too firm, and the twin mattress in the same room was pretty soft and had the feeling of being a bit worn out.
The garage is not available for use. Not a big deal, but good to know.
We brought a kayak and used it a few times in the canal. You have to time your excursions for an hour or so on either side of high tide, but it was a pleasant place to paddle out to the intracoastal. We walked to the beautiful beach and rode our bikes around the neighborhood. It is a wonderful, quiet spot.
The property manager was great at communicating, and for the price this place would be hard to beat. Very highly recommend.

We came to St Augustine for sons wedding. We brought family from 8 to 80 well actually 4 to 80. Place was perfect for all, some enjoyed the pool while others just relaxed in the lounge chairs, some fished. Very spacious house, laid out very well. Really enjoyed our time there. Not to far from Beach and only 20 minute drive to St Augustine.

It was the perfect place for four of us to come down and surf/fish for the week. Outdoor space is great, caught a few fish on the canal, the place was clean & well stocked, pool is great, neighbors were friendly, and we even had some daily visits from the local green sea turtles out back. Will 100% use this rental again!

Had a very pleasant week. Pool was a definite plus because it was so hot that week. Was a little tight for 10 people, but we made it work. Furniture needs a little upgrade, but everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Our family of five adults stayed at Salty Beach for our vacation. Not having rented a house before, I wasn't sure what we were getting into. Everything about this property was amazing. The house was clean and spacious. The pool area was beautifully designed. We spent most of our time there. When we return to the area, this is where we will stay! Thank you, David for the hospitality! Awesome experience!

We stayed here as a family and loved it! The hosts were very responsive when we had questions. The pool was lovely. We went to crescent beach that was close and it had plenty of free parking.
We loved the book with food suggestions. We had a great experience at the recommended restaurants!
Great size, location, pool, and price.
Thank you for letting us stay!

Tired home interior in a transitioning neighborhood close to beach access. Home could use some deep cleaning. Pool area by far the best home feature. First floor layout awkward and needs remodeling with first floor bedroom not really a bedroom...no closet. Ample supply of dishes but limited supply of cookware. Dishwasher didn't work but property manager offered to replace it on our last day. All in all, we were with family and enjoyed our time together.

Everything was as expected and was the perfect setup for our family. The airconditioning worked great, plenty of hot water for showers, pool was kept in excellent condition. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Neighbors were friendly too!

This property is in a quiet neighborhood where you can relax by the pool or drop a fishing line at the dock and do it peacefully. We were able to access several beaches within minutes by car. Booking was so easy and far from stressful. Anytime we had a question there was immediate response. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy such a beautiful home!

This is a well- maintained, well-managed home with plenty of extra touches. Very thoughtful owners. We will definitely ask about staying here if we return to the area.
(As a veteran, I’d suggest replacing the flag pole & holder. High winds keep knocking it down.)
