Clearly someone has put time into this home. This place was nearly perfect! It is beautiful and much of it seems newly renovated. It has a nice large living space and kitchen. Bedrooms are a good size and the beds were comfortable. The master is amazing. The basement level is perfect for kids and adults to play a variety of games. Clearly two of the three bathrooms are new or nearly new and are beautiful. There is a nice laundry room and access to outside from both the main and basement levels. The view is lovely from the back deck and the stars are incredible. We did not use the grill but there was one available. Generally, my biggest complaint is with the condition of the kitchenware provided, but this kitchen was stocked with is the best dishes, glasses, mugs and cookware I have ever seen. This home is truly one of the best VRBO rentals we have ever stayed in.

A few changes from our last stay that could be improved

We only stayed two nights and spent our entire day hiking Gulf Hagas so we weren’t there long but it had everything we needed and it’s a beautiful setting. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Amazing view of the lake, property was clean and comfortable.

The house was beautiful, but there wasn’t a frying pan, broom, clean mats and a few other items that you would expect. There is black mold around every window!! When you open the windows, there are tons of dead bugs. Down by the dock was a dangerous mess (pieces of metal, ropes just thrown down); my husband spent two days cleaning it up down there so my Grandson could go down there!

The house was beautiful. Workmanship and detail of the inside of the home was impressive. Very tastefully furnished. Loved listening to the sound of the trains.

Wonderful location overlooking Moosehead Lake. Weather didn’t work in our favor this time. Very nice inside the house for our R&R weekend.

Once we packed in our groceries and took a stroll by the lake, we didn't want to leave. We enjoyed the local restaurants, hiking trails, and many miles of beautiful road trips within easy driving distance.
We were a little surprised with the extra costs added from Vacasa and would recommend avoiding that if possible, but the home, location, and property are all 5 star!

A clean and spacious base-camp for our multi-family winter adventure. The basement provided lots of entertainment for the young kids while letting people upstairs sleep in. The view is great and the house looks beautiful when looking up from the lake. Plenty of driveway space for dealing with trailers.

Had a wonderful weekend here! The view was beautiful, the house was very clean and spacious. Looking forward to the basement being finished. Two of the doors going into the house were broken- one without a door handle and one just wouldn’t lock. Otherwise a fantastic stay!

Close by but feels remote and secluded - clean, well done property with nice amenities - would check this place out in any season.

Property was nicer in the pictures than in reality. Screens were missing, doors didn't lock or open or close easily. NO STAIR RAILING TO THE BASEMENT = dangerous. Not really clean, grease in the range hood. Lights not working. Inadequate Walkway to lake. Many items in house have lack of maintenance. Much more.

Second time back for an adult weekend away! Perfect location, view and space for 3 couples. We had a great time and had everything we needed at the house. The only thing we’d like to see improved is the hot water. Seemed to be hit or miss for both of our trips.

2022 trip
We had an amazing time. The only negative was that the rooms we dirty. There was pet urine in both bedrooms and floors were not cleaned. If u am paying a cleaning fee i would want the property clean.

Christmas at the Lake
The property is so much nicer than the photos make it seem! We really enjoyed ourselves and the only issue was in trying to get the fireplace to light, something that seems to have been an issue with several prior guests. Magical sunrises, incredibly quiet, beautiful stars at night. I meant to write down the brand of mattress we slept on in the master bedroom- absolutely the most comfortable mattress ever. Hot water was inconsistent and a bit lacking in water pressure, but not terrible. Overall, a magical holiday for our first Christmas in Maine. We hope to stay at the Lodge again soon!

Family Vacation
The waterfront access is somewhat problematic as you need to walk down a staircase and across a railroad track to get to the lake. The area of the dock was not clearly marked. The refrigerator was not working properly and did not maintain an adequate temperature. It would be helpful if there was a book with detailed instructions on how to work the television, locks on the doors and the shower head upstairs.

Mostly good
there was no dock for boat. Hot water worked eventually

Great space for a group
Lots of space inside for everyone. Nicely furnished with a big kitchen. Cleaning was excellent. We toted out our own trash because we couldn't find the bins. The wifi log-in seemed to need updating, so we just tethered to our phones. Didn't expect the dock to be out, but sitting on the deck was quite pleasant. Sunrise was gorgeous. Overall this was a good find.

Beautiful, cozy getaway!
I’m so glad we chose this place to rent for the weekend! Absolutely beautiful house. Had everything that we needed and more than we thought would be there. The guys of our group did some ice fishing, it was a bit difficult of a walk to get to the water, but we made due! Had to contact the property manager the day of checkout with a couple of questions, and response was almost immediate. Comforting to know if anything else was needed, we’d have a point of contact that responds quickly! Definitely would book another stay here again. Thank you for you hospitality!

Great getaway
Spur of the moment getaway with some friends. Slept 7 of us and we never felt crowded. Internet was out due to the recent storm but we survived without it. Great location and close to town if you need anything. Would stay here again for sure!

Beautiful home and view. Private dock access is a little challenging
The home is beautiful inside. Close to town, but a little hard to find at night. Note: if you get to the railroad crossing, you have gone too far. Note: most stores close at 9pm. Be prepared. The view is beautiful and the deck is nice. We like the lights on the deck and the hammock. The fridge has its challenges and the dryer takes many cycles to dry clothes.
Private dock access: may be a challenge if you are mobility challenged. I wouldn’t let my mom try it. You have to go down a hill on steep rock stairs, cross over railroad tracks and then walk down a bit to get to the access. Still was great to be able to keep our boat there and the kids had fun.
My kids loved putting coins on the tracks for the train to flatten. We also loved seeing the trains go by. It’s pleasant, not loud at all. The box fans they provide kept it very pleasant even in August temps.
I would recommend this home. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Beautiful home
The home was beautiful and clean, and had great views. Had everything we needed. The lake access and walkway down to the water was not safe for any of us to really get down there with ease. The pathway should be updated to be safer. The lake access is not somewhere you can park your chairs and spend the day by the water. It’s a small dock with not a lot of space. The land before it is shaded and is only a path through the woods to get to the dock. The train was fun to watch go by. Overall a very beautiful home, however the lake access was disappointing especially for the kids.

Nice private camp, nice master bedroom and bath. The private area made it nice with a dog and for sitting on the deck. Not on the water, but dock isn't a long walk away. Overall a nice getaway.
