We absolutely loved everything. When we arrived, we were pleased to find a little lounge with beverages. Very cozy. The bed was as comfortable as home. Breakfast in that beautiful room started the holiday season for us. Thanks for a memorable stay
Wished we could have sat on the little balcony. Unfortunately it was 30 degrees.

The old history, love the parking

Beautiful historic facility, excellent location. Love the memory foam mattress toppers on the beds!
Parking ramp on-site was full, so we had to move the cars when spaces opened up, since there's no overnight parking allowed on the streets nearby. Also the staff wasn't very pleasant, but maybe it was just a busy weekend.

Room a little dated.

I enjoyed the history. Was clean. Coffee availability was awesome right down the hall.
The smell. Smelled old because obviously it is. Didn’t like the 4” elevation into the bathroom.

Main lobby is very impressive, location is nice. Staff were mostly friendly.
The room we ended up staying in was not very clean, or impressive looking. There was something visibly spilled all over the heat/AC unit. There are only fabric blinds in the room and not curtains to block out the light. The walls are very thin- we woke up several times from hearing other people and hearing doors slamming. The bed was uncomfortable and sheets felt very cheap. They also do not have any complimentary breakfast items available, you have to pay for a rather pricey breakfast at the attached restaurant.

The property was unique and beautiful. It is definitely old but that is part of the uniqueness of the place. Location is terrific! The front desk staff was so wonderful and helpful! Would definitely stay here again.
it could have been a bit cleaner in the bathroom and we had handicap accessible shower which allowed water to run where it shouldn’t.

Proximity to activities Free parking. Friendly person at front desk
Restaurant in hotel was not open. View from window was air conditioner and parking garage. Fake eyelashes left in bathroom from previous people.

very nice staff
couldn’t have dinner at the hotel because they were short staffed.

Always a prime spot for a weekend getaway. I come over here every summer. So nice they put me in the same room every year. Love sitting out on the balcony, then walk down to the riverfront to dine, shop, and take it all in!

Why to much money for the place.

Great breakfast,. Location was excellent. We could walk everywhere.
Room was VERY basic. Hotel is a bit rundown. Not pristinely clean.

Within walking distance are excellent restaurants and interesting shops.
Although the bathroom was very clean, it could use upgrading.
Storage for clothing was limited.
These were minor concerns.

Great proximity to the town. Curb appeal. Parking.
One front end staff was rude, woman. Sheets obviously were not changed, per the "black fur" we found in the sheets. Accessibility to parking and getting in and out was poor, but it is an old building so it is what it is. Pillows were super low quality. They charged my $27 for a bottle of champagne that lists for $8.99 plus $6 for room service. A/C did not work well. So the $275 per night was crazy.

The nostalgia, built in 1927? pretty cool lights in the hallway at each room door. We stayed along the updated hallway attached right by the parking ramp, very convenient if we were going in and out from the hotel.
