About this cabin rental
Cabin #1 is our Mom’s favorite cabin. It seems made just for that romantic couple, or just one, getting away for rest and relaxation, is super nice, right in front of the water, has old ship lap exterior siding, knotty pine interior, full kitchen with hickory cabinets/white marble counter, tile shower bathroom, queen log bed, large covered porch right at waterfront which opens to full 23 mile long Lake Livingston.
There are 3 piers, 4 boat slips, boat launch, 2 fish cleaning stations, and various small craft row boat, kayaks, canoes for rent.
We also offer;
> small craft rentals at $35/day per kayak, canoe, &or row boat.
> Jon boat w/trolling motor, 2 batteries, paddle and life vests at $50 for 4 hours, $10 (for each additional hour), or all day $75.
> pontoon boat rental when available w/ captain for touring, fishing trip, and or family fun $175 (up to 4 people for fishing approx 3 to 4 hours, or up to 6 people fir 2 hiur tour, extra $15 per adult after 3rd).
The entire property has 5 cabins. This cabin is the coziest at 350sqft but is open studio type layout making it still spacious for a couple on vacation. Please see the pictures at the bottom of the picture list to see the rest of our cabins which are bigger 500 sqft, 4 person, 5 person, and yet the largest is 800 sqft 2-story cabin for up to 7 people.
In addition we have 8 RV sites, boat & boat slips, and FM 356 near.
Other cabins and their availability are at;
cabin 2, 2bdrm, sleeps 4, at Vrbo: 1323933
cabin 3, 2bdrm, sleeps 5, at Vrbo: 1340797
Cabin 4, 2bdrm + loft, sleeps 7
cabin 5, 2bdrm, sleeps 4, at Vrbo: 9464533
Cabin has double wood siding interior & exterior that keeps it quiet inside, good people & rules make it great or we help enforce quiet time rules. FM 356 traffic is normally quiet at night but can have some traffic noise during day.
Also not in cabins and or not normally any nuisance to people, but guests should be aware that we are on a natural lake and there can be in wetlands area across the street or in brush, snakes, spiders, snapper turtles, alligator across the bridge, hawks, eagles, raccoons, etc. No real danger but occasionally for a couple days usually in spring or early summer, mom alligator will come and drop baby alligator hear every couple years then leaves, baby tends to be about 3’ to 3.5’ when this happens, is too small to be issue, can only eat size of bullfrogs at this time, is kind of fun but then normally leaves as well within a few weeks cuz too much activity from us. Parks & Wildlife and licensed trappers both said to leave them alone when this small, just do what we do keep swimming and boating because most the little one can do is eat bullfrog and will leave to find different home if we keep up our activities. And for 8 years we’ve seen they are correct.

We had an amazing time. The cabin was really neat, with every amenity we could have thought about needing or wanting. Fishing was great. Caught a few catfish, a striper, and one fresh water drum. Loved watching the shad come in, and the cranes around the property. Plenty of outside chairs to laze around the outside. Very comfortable. Very Happy with our stay!! Thank you for having us. We will be back! 😊

My husband and myself were celebrating our two year wedding anniversary. This place was exactly as listed. Clean and very quaint. Super comfortable. Perfect for what we needed. We fished right off the pier. The owner was super nice and greeted us. We will definitely be going back. Every one we encountered was super friendly. Local eats were delicious. Beautiful scenery.

Very nice place and host was very accommodating and helpful, clean and cozy, comfortable and short drive from restaurants and casino. Rustic setting right on lake,me and my girlfriend had a very relaxing and fun weekend and would like to return when warmer and enjoy the lake activities. Definitely exactly what was advertised and the other people staying at the park were very friendly. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

This property was nothing like the pictures. There was NO water in front of, or anywhere near the cabin. The owner said the lake was down 3.5 ft., but never said there was no water at all in this "lakefront" property.
For charging a high cleaning fee I would've thought the cabin would have been clean, the windows were filthy and the outside furniture looked like nobody had cleaned them off in ages. The property had a look of disrepair and neglect, torn canopies on the kids play structures and overgrown weeds around all the trees.
If the place was cleaned up a bit and there was water it would be worth the price, but as is, not at all worth it.

Our host Rick and Bernadette were great! Very responsive to any questions we had. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Our host made sure it was stocked with everything we needed . Will definitely be going back again in the near future 👍👍

We had to cancel due to lack of water, however, we plan on returning when the water is back . It is a lovely cabin and lake area. The manager ( Rick ) was amazing understanding . We are looking forward to come back and enjoy this place .

My partner and I finally had the time to take a vacation together and we jumped on the opportunity with this cabin. It was an excellent choice. A very nice and clean small cabin for two people with room to cook together and have wonderful time reading on the porch. The property managers are honest and give you all the information you need. Highly recommend a vist.

First off let me say that when we arrived there was a fork and coffee mug left in the sink. Regardless if they were clean, that is not the point. Second, multiple blinds were broke so we had to put bags and pillows in the way to keep people from seeing inside our cabin.furniture outside was dirty so I had to wipe it clean to sit down( We stayed at cabin 1 by the way). Then the pontoon boat was broke so we couldn’t use that, there wasn’t any paddle boats as posted and described in the photos and posting. My husband and I decided we would take a jon boat ride so Rick showed us how and multiple items were broken. Rick even made a comment to my husband watch out lowering the boat from the lift and hold the hoist closed all the way or you can get shocked…. Get your stuff fixed. We had such a bad time that we left a day early.

Overall this was a nice weekend getaway. The cabins are fairly close together but everyone was respectful of each other. The cabin had everything we needed to make our own food that we brought. The location is fairly isolated so if you are looking to get away from the city and enjoy some fishing and cooking out, this is a great spot.

Property is right on the lake. Various boat rentals very reasonable. Cottage was clean and well stocked with basic pantry items and cookware. Bed comfortable. Hosts were fantastic. Internet tv a bit problematic. Would come again to stay.

Bernadette and Rick were very nice and I enjoyed them so much! I even forgot to leave on checkout day. You’ll love everything about this place. Stayed in Cabin 1.

Very relaxing and pleasant experience. Perfect for sitting on the porch and enjoying the view.

The cabin was tiny but generally clean and well appointed. Hot water availability was inconsistent. The humidity in the cabin was uncomfortable even though the air conditioner ran nonstop. The property is located next to a busy highway, so all you could hear was traffic day and night. Who wants to sit outside and listen to traffic? Also, the outdoor amenities were dirty. If you wanted to sit outside you would need to do a major cleaning of the furniture. For the price, this is unacceptable. If you want seclusion, this is not the place - all the cabins are very close together. Don't go to this lake for bass fishing. The lake is quite shallow (2-3 ft.) in the places bass would hang out, too shallow for a trolling motor. I should have done better research. Overall, I couldn't wait to go home.

I stayed in this adorable cabin for a month. The place is rustic but cozy and peaceful. The hosts are very nice and extremely helpful. The cottage looks exactly like the pictures.

Super easy check in process. Supplied everything but food (naturally!). Quaint cabin steps away from the lake! Right off a main road so you do hear some cars, but only when outside. All in all great weekend getaway.

We had a good time. Cabin was cozy and clean. Very relaxing.

My wife and I seemed to be the only ones using the facilities at the time. We normally look for more adventure on our little get aways but this time we just wanted a short relaxing trip to help us prepare for the next hectic month at work.
That’s exactly what we got. This was our first time at this location and it was exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely be going back again.
Thanks again B&R!

The cabin was right on the water and the property was nice and clean. Owners were great people too. There is noise of a very busy road close to the property.

We loved the location & cabin. It was clean stocked with all kinds of supplies. We had to leave the day after we got there due to a family medical emergency. We plan on many more visits.

Our one rom cabin had super views of the lake and sky from front porch and enough room to be together and reconnect. The cabins are setup with everything you could need for a stay. Planning our next trip back with friends in a larger cabin.

Had a great anniversary weekend. Loved our stay. Very quiet. Place was clean and had everything we needed. Only disappointment was the lake was low so no bank fishing. Can’t help that we are in a drought.

Anniversary trip
The cabin was very cute. It found have been a bit cleaner. The porch and all the lawn cushions were very dirty. I had to wash any dishes I used because they were not very clean. The refrigerator freezer was not clean and the ice maker didn’t work which was problematic because it was 106 degrees both days we were there. The hostess was very nice and brought us a bottle of wine for our anniversary. We left a day earlier due to the extreme heat and low water levels. We couldn’t do anything outside. The location is ideal if the weather would have cooperated.

Great little cabin right by the water. Small cabin, but perfect for 2.

The cabin is adorable. Enough space to relax. Cooked a few meals in the kitchen which the hosts have well stocked. Rented a canoe and took the dogs out on the water. Well lit at night so all the grounds are enjoyable well into the evening. Hosts were wonderful and ensured everything was perfect. They even left some little dog treats for the puppies! Will definitely return!
