What a view! The walking distance to the playground and the sand on Swifts beach was great for my young family. The host were easily accessible and responsive. Can't beat the view!

Wonderful view from the amazing deck overlooking the water. If quiet neighborhood and serene view are what you are looking for then this is your place.

The weather was terrible, but the house was so cozy and comfortable, it felt like home. The views were so dramatic, even during the hazy, stormy weather.
The 5th & 6th days were sunny and very nice. The sun on the water looked like diamonds.
By the time I left, I felt like I was leaving my home, I was very sad.
I really hope I get to try this again in warmer weather.
Thanks for a great trip. Helen- Johnson City NY

Deck and view are awesome.
Space is cozy for cold October evenings.
The beds need replacing. The twin trundle beds don’t support adult bodies. The sleeper sofa does not work for sleep! It was dirty, thin and extremely uncomfortable.
The hot water heater isn’t satisfactory. We had one person shower and it ran out after 5 minutes.

This beautiful home is more than adequate for comfort as well as being right on the water with a beautiful view! Everything was so clean and the kitchen was supplied with everything you would ever need! Also, great communication with Linda, the owner. She was so helpful and very pleasant.
Located in a lovely quiet neighborhood and reasonably close to everything, I feel blessed to have found this lil’ slice of heaven….

I’m so glad we decided to stay at this cottage right on the water. Mornings and sunsets on the porch, watching the osprey hunt and the tides change, defined our trip. The bay is shallow and a little weedy here, so not great for swimming, but there’s a little public beach three lots away. Probably good for little kids, as it’s shallow and warm, but too weedy for me to swim.
The house itself is charming, if a little dated. Like staying at an older relative’s place. The appliances are functional if dated, so don’t expect a chef’s kitchen. No dishwasher. Gas grill is nice, and there’s a place for a bonfire on the beach of the empty lot next door. Towels and bed linens are provided, but bring your own toilet paper. No air conditioning (common in the area), but a window fan made sleeping reasonable. A security camera hangs over the main entrance. The bottom floor/garage seems to be a private living area, and the light was on inside, but I don’t think anyone was there.
The area seems to be mostly retired residents. It’s SO quiet, especially in the morning. Lots of people out walking or riding bikes, a very safe area. Surprisingly few bugs, and we spent a lot of time out on the porch. View from the front room is panoramic, so you’ll feel like you’re outside even from the couch.
Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet, cozy place, close to (but not right on) the cape, this place is it. Even though many of our days were spent out exploring the cape, it was nice to come home to a sunset on the water on our own private deck.

Beautiful Water View and So Relaxing!
We came to our nieces college graduation and wanted to stay on the water while in town. What a gem we found in this house. A great deck with beautiful views and a relaxing comfortable home to start and end each day! The views from inside are also wonderful. We could take a quick 1 block walk to a small beach or just relax with drinks on the deck. The kitchen was very well stocked so for families like ours that love to cook it made our stay so much less complicated! Thank you!! We'll be back.

Gotta love New England
We were pleasantly surprised to see that the property is a stand alone home. From the picture it almost looked like a motel or condo. Easy to get to. Once inside it was bright and inviting. Yes there are stairs but even with my bad knee there is a sturdy railing which made it doable. The front room and dining area are big, bright and open. The deck is also a good size. The large bedroom was simple as was the smaller bedroom. Everything was clean. The large bed was very uncomfortable and noisy when just rolling over in bed. We only used the one bed. The kitchen area is small but well well stocked. We ate out for our main meals so we just barely used the coffee maker. We had not dressed for the weather though. It was cloudy and gray most of Sunday and Monday. Tuesday the sun was trying to come out as we were leaving. The wind was terrible. But that really has nothing to do with the accommodations. Very loud and making it cold. Fortunately the heat setting is like the one I have at home so we were able to take the chill off. The view from the deck was nice but we were not able to spend any time out there. The wind did blow over the full sized Webber grill so it was serious. Hold onto your children. There are some nice things to do. We went to the Whaling Museum and if you appreciate wine and bourbon The Mary Celeste in Marion is a wonderfully unique place to visit. They serve food but the alcohol is the main draw. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will try to get back in more accommodating weatther. We had to contact the owner to let her know about the grill and she was very pleasant. House rules are posted to easily be seen.

Unique Location
My husband and I enjoyed a short get-away. The home is located in a quiet and unique spot with amazing views and only steps away from the beach. Even with one full day of rain, we were content playing cards/games and checking out the scenes from the dining room window. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and the home was inviting and well-stocked. Hoping to return again next year!

A perfect getaway
Tidy little cottage right on the water. Everything was as advertised and couldn't have been better. The water views are gorgeous! We stayed in April and felt like we had the whole neighborhood to ourselves. The kids loved exploring the shoreline. I had fun surfcasting right in front of the house. There was plenty to see nearby, we took a nice hike at Great Neck. Lots of good dining options, we got take out from the Narrows Tavern and Kool-Kone. We brought grocery's but Shaw's was only a 5 minute drive away if we needed something. 100% would recommend.

Great Place!
Perfect for what we were looking for. My sister is in end stage lung cancer and she wanted so badly to sit by the water. We got her on the deck and enjoyed our time outside and inside this wonderful place for two days.
We had everything we needed and the house is immaculate and very well furnished. Beds are comfy and plenty of linens and pillows available. I would recommend this beach house in a minute.

Location was Perfect
We were so happy with this cute little gem of a house. We really wanted a porch on the water and boy did this deliver! On a quiet road and very clean. We enjoyed coffee on the porch in the morning and wine in the evening. Pricing was much better than over the bridge too. I would definitely book this house with Linda again. Check in was a breeze and she even gave us a little extra time on check out day. Thank you so much!

Nice play but refrigerator too loud
The property is very charming. The problem we had is that the freezer fan was making a LOT of noise. So much so that we could not watch TV or sleep. The property manager knew about it and really should have told us before we left home. She did try and get it repaired for us the next day but the repairs only made it worse. It was too late to get another place in the area. Having just purchased a week's worth of groceries, we had to dash home to get them to our refrigerator. And we lost two days of vacation coming, going, and dealing with the situation. I understand things break and these days you can't just run down to the store and get a refrigerator any more. That happens. The manager also did the right thing and refunded our money without any hassle, but she really should have let us know the noise situation; we don't detour vacation back.

Quiet beach cottage with amazing oceanfront view
The beach house is a quiet, cozy oceanfront getaway. There is a nice yard, a small private beach, and an amazing deck that overlooks the water. The location is private and scenic yet close enough to any stores/necessities. Highly recommended.
