Set right on the Sippican River, this sunny and peaceful home is the ideal destination for those looking to get out on the water. Launch your canoe, kayak, or other small watercraft right from the backyard, or visit Wareham Marina, just a half-mile away, if you have something larger. This home is less than 10 miles from downtown Wareham and Onset where you'll find a beach, restaurants, ice cream, shops, and a public dock on Main Street. Visit Wareham Crossing for additional dining options and big box stores, while towns like Marion, Mattapoisett, and Plymouth offer even more shopping, dining, and entertainment options, all between five and 20 miles from your door.
This lovely and spacious vacation rental boasts high, knotty wood ceilings, several windows welcoming in abundant natural light, and an open floor plan. Step into the fully-updated kitchen to prepare all your favorite recipes using the upscale appliances and then dine indoors at the adjacent table or alfresco on your furnished patio while swans, geese, and other native birds play out on the water. Back indoors, switch on the fireplace and settle into the living area to stream your favorite shows and movies.

The house is best described as a rustic riverside cottage. Its inside is very nice and as shown in the listing's photos with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. The bed is Queen size. There is a skylight window right above the bed that allows full sunlight illumination in the early morning hours despite an undersized light beige blind installed by the owner. We needed to buy black cardboard sheets to block out the bright light to sleep a little longer.
We had specifically booked this property because the listing's previous photos and description showed a floating dock at water level and a kayak at the shore suggesting the ability to go swimming and use the kayak. When we arrived the floating dock had been removed. Attempting to wade into the water from the shore was impossible as we sunk ankle deep into the shore's mud and needed to pull each other out by the arms while seeing neighboring residents being able to use their kayaks and boats on the river.
Several attempts to address the above issue with the owner and Vacasa what we felt was a misrepresentation did not result in any meaningful response.
Finally, after days Vacasa sent local representative Ashley to the house who was very professional and super helpful in finding a resolution in this matter with the owner. Thank you again Ashley for personally working on our behalf and also recommending other places to go swimming in the area!
Since then any mention of the dock and all photos showing the same were removed from the listing. The property is well suited for a quiet stay watching the river but not for being able to access the water including the kayak still shown in the photos.

VERY cute and quaint house. Perfect for my wife and I and our little dogs. We definitely appreciate being able to stay somewhere with them. House was very clean, kitchen and bathroom were very new. We cooked every night and also were able to do laundry. We loved the back room filled with windows, it was really nice eating dinner there and enjoying the view.
The patio was great, we sat out there a lot, and used the fire pit at night. Would have appreciated a few lounge chairs rather than uncomfortable plastic Adirondacks. But the view is beautiful, it was so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed watching the wildlife of the river.
Had a few very minor complaints such as some burned out bulbs and a very tricky bathroom lock. The yard wasn’t as nice or as big as pictured, but no major concerns, and overall we had a great, relaxing time, hanging with our doggies and watching the boats go by. When I did reach out to customer service with a small concern, they were quick to respond. Would absolutely stay here again! We were sad to pack up today!

The day before our checkout, someone came into the house, used the toilet, moved my husband's CPAP machine, threw the dish soap and hand soap bottles into the sink and moved other items around. When I texted Vacasa (the only contact info I was provided) to report this and request a manager call me, I got no response and no call. Yet VRBO and Vacasa both sent me multiple texts and emails asking for a 5-star review! So take warning if you stay here that neither VRBO nor Vacasa cares if your privacy and security are violated, and once they have your money they won't even respond to you.

When we arrived the bed was obviously broken. We contacted VaCasa who said they would contact the owners. It would have been fine if there was another bedroom but there wasn’t. They told us to sleep on the pullout couch. My husband and I are disabled Veterans. We have injuries and his back is bad. That doesn’t work. No one communicated with us. We would have canceled and moved but there were no other options. Grill was in shamnles. We were told We’d get compensation. Nothing. Don’t stay here.

The home location itself is absolutely fantastic. It's a very cute simple home, but it is not ac pictured. The yard is half the size at best, There is a fence through some of the area likely due to water line which makes sense, but not what shown. The dock is not even in the water at all although the neighbors are and so you do not have water access. Even the chairs and table on the patio out back was since replaced and so there is no longer lounge chairs etc. The shower does not work more than a dribble so the experience there was awful. Cute home, cute furniture, good kitchen, bed is very stiff. Lots of things to check out in the area. Would definitely recommend the area & if they fix the shower, it would be better for sure. But I do not think it was worth the money I spent so overall disappointing.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while visiting some friends in the area and it was perfect for us. It had everything we needed and it was nice to sit and look out at the water in the morning. Great place!

Cute little waterside cabin. I would definitely describe the house as rustic. Had some minor issues but all in all the place is fantastic. Well equipped kitchen, washer/ dryer is a plus. Not the best place to catch zzzz’s as there is a sky light (window) right above the bed but if you are someone who rises with the sun, this place would be perfect.

Such a lovely wee cottage providing a front row seat to some of the Northeasts most beautiful fauna... we saw Swan, Canada Goose, Heron (up close and personal), Duck, Cormorant, Orielle, Chipmunk, Squirrel and the famiky of bunnies almost every day.
A quiet getaway just 10 mins from Wareham centre and a gorgeous place to watch the liggt from the rising and setting sun.
Loved it!
