We really liked some things about the property, it had a great porch and was located close to both Gorges State Park and DuPont
On the negative side
The inside was dirty, there was trash all in the driveway and outside, the AC didn’t cool the bedroom, the bathroom floor was in bad shape, and the shower was not good.

The property was quite nice and allowed for a relaxing stay. The hot tub was a nice way to a day or two of hiking in the nearby mountains.

Cabin was a little out of the way, but was clean, homey, and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay and the hot tub.

We enjoyed our stay!

We loved the cabin location and rustic nature. We walked down the driveway one night to view the stars in the big open field. Wish the windows had screens in to cool the cabin off overnight. Look forward to visiting again.

Property was as described. Quiet, forested location with character! The hot tub was clean and in working order. The house was rustic but with all the modern amenities. Truly enjoyed our week long stay. Looking forward to booking again!

Very cute place. Take inventory before you hit the grocery store, there’s some stock of basic seasonings but not a lot.

Perfect for what we were looking for. Will be visiting again. Close to all you need if you are going for the hike to waterfalls. Hot tub was the perfect ending to the long days.

I went to this cabin for a few days of hiking, and Brent was very accommodating. We had no issue finding the cabin. Everything was very clean. I would love to return.

Beautiful scenic secluded cabin. Just what we were looking for to get away from busy life. Perfect for people who want peace and serenity. Cabin was easy to find if you plan your route ahead of time, would still attempt to get there before dark. We had a great time. Would visit again.

Place was great, clean & cozy.. enjoyed our visit .. Came to waterfalls & see leaves changing .. had a great time.. the only problem need a sign with address to driveway got confusing at 1st..

This is the most darling little cabin! Perfect get-away in October. Beautiful detail throughout and the fireplace was center stage! Even the drive up to the cabin felt like magic with fall leaves meandering on the wind. Hot tub worked great and beds were comfortable for sleep. The cabin was tidy as well. Brent was incredibly helpful too with directions. We didn’t arrive until after dark and he called ahead to give us some land marks to the property which was very much needed once the sun was gone. Thank you for the great stay! 🌻🍂☺️

No marking for the driveway at ALL!! Driveway was washed out. Yard over grown with trees. House smelt like mothballs. Lining consisted of three wash cloths and plenty of towels. Toilet paper and paper towels. Front door knob was falling off when we got there.
Pots and pans looked like they cooked rocks in it!!!
Complete stay was misleading we left a day early!!!
If not for my 4 wheel drive truck we would have NOT been able to get up the driveway. I have pictures to prove all this..

Great secluded cabin
We had a great stay at the cabin! It was clean and well kept! The hot tub was great in evening after hikes! It was difficult to find the cabin because the sign was covered by forest growth!

Disappointed. Dirty, unkept, mushrooms growing in the bathroom floor! description not as described.
Very dirty. Cob webs and dirt. Mushrooms growing in the bathroom floor! Smelly used sponge, had to re wash everything we used, not enough towels for 4 people using a hot tub and shower for 5 days. Everything stayed wet as there was no dryer even though we hung everything up. Dingy sheets, had to go purchase new, rusty dirty pans, filthy stove, yard unkept and walked through weeds to unload etc it said central air but was 2 window units we had to put in ourselves. Had to sweep porch where hot tub was. Granddaughter got cut on glass that was in the hot tub. Paper towels had dirt all over the top of the roll. Coffee pot dirty, no toaster, no kitchen towels or sponges. Had to go buy all of it. No spices. Bought those too. Definitely not as described.

Great location, but different management
We loved this cabin and its location the 2 previous stays we have had but by no fault of the property owner (other than moving to a new property manager Evolve who was very difficult to reach when I made reservation), the quality has gone down. Because of the remote location, area lacks restaurants so necessitates cooking at home. The kitchen lacks organization or even basic comforts (toaster, drinking glasses). They have upgraded the fridge to a more modern one but the fridge door does not stay closed if anything is in it. No ice trays in freezer too. Cabinet door panels unglued and banging around. No mattress pads, loose tiles on bathroom floor. Last negative is pond that once were full of trout are mud puddles with only salamanders now.
Great hot tub and access to hikes in Pisgah and French broad tubing/kayaking.

Needs more cleaning
Mouse droppings in kitchen drawer, spider webs galore, only 1 tv though listing said 2, hair in clean towels and floating in bathtub, old grungy sofa and recliner, kitchen poorly stocked with utensils.

Mixed feelings on this stay
My wife and I rent a cabin in NC at least once a year for the last 8+ years and typically have great experiences with the cabins overall. This cabin had some things we really enjoyed, but also a few that left us feeling a bit disappointed.
Pros:
1. We loved the privacy of the cabin, there are no other cabins or homes within view. We usually have other cabins nearby, so the privacy of this cabin was awesome!
2. The hot tub was a 6 person hot tub. It was not in the photos for the cabin, so I had some concerns about it.
3. The beds were comfortable, which is very important. We both slept well for the most part.
4. Quiet/Peaceful - The area was pretty quiet most of the time, allowing you to enjoy the sounds of nature. You do occasionally hear the road noise, but not too terribly often.
Cons:
1. The cabin was not as clean as it could be in our impression. We had a cockroach in our bedroom, and the first night my wife and I were both woken up by something crawling on us in the dark. Half the dishes we pulled out were dirty. Most of the pots/pans and dishes had a heavy greasy film on them and the knives were dirty. We re-washed everything before using it after that. The red chair in the living room was very worn which makes it look dirty even if it isnt really dirty. It definitely gives you an uneasy feeling about sitting on the furniture, sleeping in the beds, etc., as you begin to question the cleanliness.
2. The entrance to the property is very dangerous. The weeds have grown up so high at the road that you cannot see down the road either way. Cars tend to pick up speed on this straightaway, probably 40mph+. I would have to get out of my car, walk to the road, and then jump in to get out quick as the cars come quick around the curves. It was actually quite scary!
3. I would suggest removing the single tree growing up on the walkway, it is hard to carry items past that tree on a narrow walk.
4. Toilet wouldnt flush well, plugged several times.
5. Tub was difficult and awkward. Shower curtains go around it and touch you on both sides. There is nowhere to put your products, the little hanger doesnt stay up with products in it.
6. Not enough towels/washcloths for two people for 4 days to use with hot tub and shower. There is not a washer/dryer, a few more towels would be helpful.
7. Hot tub had sandy grit on the seats, edges, felt uncomfortable to sit on. Didnt feel clean

Stayed here for a few nights with my wife. Awesome location. Within 30 minutes of town and multiple hiking trails and waterfalls. Definitely coming back in the future.

The property was beautiful, the owner was very easy to work with and always offering his assistance no matter what. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway this is definitely the place to go, we will be back for sure!

Cabin for Christmas
Booked this cabin to spend Christmas with the family and it was perfect. The one complaint I may have is that the cabin needs probably better cleaning, there was dust and spider webs everywhere. The cabin is an a great location Several hikes around the area that were beautiful. The cabin being inside a Christmas tree farm made the Christmas experience even better. Cabin had everything we needed in the kitchen, covers for the beds, and wood for the fire place. It’s great that is pet friendly out pups loved it. 100% will be back

Great girls weekend
I booked this cabin with 3 other girls and our dogs for a weekend getaway and we had an amazing time. Great location. Great hot tub and fire place. Close to Brevard and many hiking trails. We loved that this house was in a Christmas tree farm too! Would definitely recommend!

Stayed October 2020
Great Location and cabin. Kitchen utensils could be updated and wish there was better preparation before guest arrived such as clean out fireplace and grill. All in all a great time, great place, well located and private location and beautiful drive to the cabin.

Beautiful cabin
Overall everything was very clean and loved how it was closed to waterfalls. Me and the family enjoyed the hot tub and the comfort of the cabin. Great location !

Great spot
This cabin is beautiful on the inside and located on a heavily wooded lot in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was a great size for our family of three. The hot tub is clean and there is a space for both indoor and outdoor fires for a true camping experience. The only drawback is that you will have to drive out for activities, but with a great central location between Brevard and Cashiers, it served as a wonderful, woodsy, cabin-y homebase for the evening.
