Excellent

The hosts Alistair and Ruth were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Thank you both. The garden room is lovely with two armchairs and a very comfortable bed.The television is on a swivel so can be watched from the chairs or the bed.A nice touch, I thought. The garden is lovely, and it was nice to sit out with a glass of wine. Breakfast was excellent, and Alistair is very willing to accommodate any dietry wishes. Leiston itself is a great spot for visiting Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. We will definitely be back.

A lovely restful week at the Garden Room with Ruth and Alastair.

My husband had a full English breakfast which was excellent. My breakfast was good and our host was willing to accommodate our wishes.

Everything was good having been to the Garden Room four times we would recommend.

Lovely

I was visiting RSPB Minsmere so I needed a place to stay close to the reserve. I couldn't have chosen better. The hosts, Alistair and Ruth were so welcoming I felt instantly at home. The room was very cosy and comfortable, with a relaxing feel to it. If I ever go back to that area, I will definitely book with them again. It was lovely.

Wonderful Stay

Absolutely wonderful stay. Lovely hosts, accommodation beautiful, comfy and clean. Great location, lovely and quiet, and the breakfast was wonderful. Also Milly the dog was very cute and welcoming. X

A gem of a B&B. A clean, warm, comfortable ,quiet room with everything you need for your visit.. Delightful hosts and a delicious breakfast all made for a happy, relaxing stay. Looking forward to a return visit. Many thanks.

Good place to stay

We loved the breakfast. The people renting out the room are lovely. We liked sitting in the comfy chairs with the windows looking out to the garden after a day of visiting places. We had dinner at a nice pub within walking distance.

Friendly, helpful hosts. Nice breakfast but not much choice or variety from day to day.

Didn't expect the accommodation to be in the middle of a housing estate.

The room was lovely. Very clean, bright and comfortable with a beautiful garden to sit in. The owners could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Gorgeous breakfast which sets you up for exploring this beautiful area and coastline of Aldeburgh, Thorpeness and Dunwich especially. We really enjoyed our stay

We had a lovely weekend and would definitely book here again!

The owner was friendly and kind. She was very helpful and wanted to do all she could to make our stay a pleasant one. The breakfast was excellent. There was a delicious vegetarian option. The accommodation had an ensuite bathroom. It was in a quiet location and was close to both Aldeburgh and Thorpness.

A very good place to stay to explore coastal Suffolk

A very comfortable room in a garden that really is a bit of an urban oasis. The town of Leiston itself has seen better days but is superconvenient for Aldeburgh, Snape and, a bit further afield, Orford and Southwold etc.

A very pleasant 4 day break in full sunshine.

Breakfast was excellent and a good start to the day. Our hosts were friendly and knowledgeable of the local eateries

Relaxing and clean with helpful hosts and a great breakfast!

The owners of the property were very helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. The room was exceptionally clean, private, and located in a friendly area. I now know why they have such great reviews. I used to manage hotels and noticed they had everything perfectly set up, right down to the little details (biscuits, lovely decor, tea facilities, lap trays, cold milk, coat hangers). Couldn't have been better and can highly recommend this as a lovely place to stay for a getaway!

I will be surprised to see any negatives in future reviews because we don't have any! It was a perfect stay.

Exceptional

I booked this place to take my partner away for his birthday. This is the 1st time I have ever booked anything. The room was lovely, and the view out into the garden was wonderful. 😍 The area is really quite, when we arrived and see it was on a housing estate I was a little concerned it could be noisy. It was quite. It really was great. The breakfast was freshly prepared. Both Ruth and Alistair go the extra mile to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. If they didnt mention having a dog you wouldn't know, she is so friendly and doesn't bark. There is a pub in walking distance which served amazing food. Town isn't too far to walk neither. 😊

Ruth and alistair were perfect. Accommodation was clean and welcoming breakfast fantastic ideal base for sight seeing the peaceful and beautiful country side of Suffolk

Comfortable well equipped room in hosts' smallish back garden on a modern housing estate. Good breakfast in hosts' house. Very welcoming and friendly. Well placed for exploring the Suffolk coast and countryside.

Overall a very comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable stay. We would definitely recommend and return.

Room independent of the house was very beneficial. Access to small garden area and our own fridge. Crockery, cutlery and glasses provided. Helpful, friendly and easy-going owners. Quiet residential area with easy walking access to local town. Breakfast good.

Shower room is very compact but good sized basin. We would have liked cereal for breakfast but not provided which we did not know in advance.

It felt like a home from home.

The accommodation was comfortable, well planned, attractively furnished, with everything we needed. Breakfast was as good as it gets. The owner was warm, friendly and interesting to talk with.

A comfortable stay in a very quiet and peaceful garden setting.

Alistair was a very welcoming and friendly host who made us an excellent cooked breakfast each morning. The room was comfortable and very clean and had everything we needed. Even extra plates and cutlery if we wanted to get a takeaway.

Would happily stay again

Attractive, comfortable room with own access. Very friendly hosts. Quiet location and ideally situated for the places we wanted to visit. We like to sleep in a cool room so appreciated being able to adjust the heating according to our needs.
