Such a wonderful unique and quirky property. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were great. Hosts very easy to contact and attentive. Opposite a famous pub.
No saucepans just larger pots with handles. No oven gloves.
4.6
Quirky, interesting spacious cottage. Super clean and excellent location for access to Tor walks.
Odd kitchen and beds quite small due to the old rooms.
4.6
Quirky cottage, good location, friendly and helpful staff. Well equipped kitchen.
Low ceilings. Bath, but no shower - would not be suitable for people with limited mobility.

We had a lovely few days at Cobweb Hall. It's warm, comfortable, and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It is within walking distance of the moors and directly opposite the Highwayman Inn, where we ate each evening.
The cottage decor is unique and interesting, and the bathrooms are very spacious. There were plenty of towels and toiletries.
The hosts, Sally and Bruce, were most welcoming and helpful.
We loved it there and will definitely return!
We loved everything!
4.6
Very characterful. Attentive and kind hosts. A family enterprise, this is the second generation! Thank you Sally and Bruce you're a really charming, hard working and jovial couple. Best wishes for the business from the land of snow and syrup!

We loved staying at Cobweb Hall, the property was perfect to what we required. Being able to access Dartmoor via the pack at the back of the property was brilliant. The hosts were very nice and helpful.
On one day we got back and the owner and a guy from a fire extinguisher company were in the property, servicing the extinguishers. We felt it would of been good to inform us about this beforehand.
4.6
Location very good.Walking on Dartmoor directly from the cottage door.Meal in Highwayman pub good.Very pleasant hosts.
At least one of the bathrooms should have had a shower. The kitchen was poor. There should have been more easy chairs in the lounge.Could have done with better lighting.

The house was very unusual and very quirks. There were a few thing which would make the stsy a bit bettet, showet and more comfortable couch. We emjoyed seeing it and the pub and both Sally and Bruce couldn't do more us.
No shower snd uncomfortable couch when there are four proplel.

what didn’t we like about the property? The property was simply amazing, one of our most favourite cottages we’ve ever stayed.
very doggy friendly to! you just have to visit the Highwayman pub over the way, first time we’ve ever gone to the same place twice for dinner, on consecutive nights; ever!!!!
nothing really

quirky
could do with a shower and a gate to the front of the property to the very busy very fast road for the sake of a few £ it would be well worth it.

Location was perfect right on the edge of Dartmoor. Hosts sally and Bruce were fantastic. The property is full of Character and the pub opposite is amazing and dog friendly. Would highly recommend!

Super friendly and helpful host, very quirky and interesting property in a very scenic part of the west country

Beautiful quirky cottage exceeded our expectations. Very cosy and warm. Loved the baths. In all a lovely location to chill out for a short break.
The only thing we could fault is not having a decent can opener !

Perfect location for our trip and easy access to Dartmoor and dog walking. Lovely quirky cottage in a quiet location and ideal for a small party such as ours.

A warm welcome. Quirky accommodation. Clean and comfortable. Sally and Bruce were ideal hosts and the location is perfect for walking with Okehampton less than 5 minutes down the road for picking up supplies. We spent quite a bit of time in the pub across the road which we all enjoyed. I would absolutely recommend staying here and if we can, we'll be back.
Nothing to dislike

The walks locally are stunning.
Bruce was helpful, professional and lovely. Highly recommended.

Good location on edge of moors and Bude
Prefer a shower rather than a bath.

picturesque location on the northern edge of Dartmoor. Interesting Historical property originally built in 1897 for the vicar of Sourton
Sally a wealthy heiress of land and property clearly did not care about her guests offering a hovel as holiday accommodation which was a health and safety hazard.
Cobwebs is in a time warp which does need not only an upgrade, make over and deep clean to make this property habitable.
We spent 8 hours cleaning Cobwebs to enable to use the facilities as when we walked in from a long and tiring motorcycle journey in the pouring rain, the smell of dirt and dust was over whelming. My partner who is in recovery from a stroke collapsed and spent 2 days in tears. The thin mattress on the bed offered no support or sleep.
Sally did not make us welcome in fact made a threatening statement of when will we pay, if not immediately, she knew where we live. Had my partner been well enough to travel further we would not have stayed and certainly a warning to travellers do not stay here - Sally is a Highwayman.

Unique styling, and very friendly hosts. Also the amazing Pub owned by the hosts...

The qurkeyness
Sally was a fantastic host. One of the most unique cottages we have stayed in. Full of character.

Lovely place with unusual unique features.. Walks straight onto Dartmoor from the property. Lydford gorge and waterfall walk well worth doing.
4.6
Lovely welcome . Beautifully quirky home. Fantastic location and opp the most unique pub in the UK. What's not to like??!
4.6
Friendly people, great self-catering facilities, fast WiFi, beautiful bathrooms, beautiful bedrooms, characterful décor, close to the equally characterful pub.
Living room would benefit from some brighter lighting. Air slightly musty as with many historic buildings.
4.6
Sally made us feel very welcome both at Cobweb Hall and the Highwayman Inn opposite. We enjoyed the quirky nature of both properties, the very sunny courtyard garden with views of the moor and having direct access from the property to the moor. We also liked the dual staircase!
4.6
By saving original features the property takes you back in time , but with all the modern facilities being added it meets all expectations.
Right behind the house starts a nice walk taking you up to a small hill to enjoy a nice view. Lots of other walks within short driving distance.
Right across the road you can have a nice meal and a few drinks and not be bothered about driving.
The owner is wonderful, friendly and helpful:-)

The cottage is so beautiful and unique. It had everything we needed for a break and was close to Dartmoor National Park. Sally was so warm and welcoming, which set the tone perfectly for an amazing break. We were blown away by how gorgeous the property was and loved being able to have a drink over the road at the Highwayman Inn, which is in itself an experience. It was wonderful to spend time in places that are obviously labors of love and we hope to visit again soon.
Absolutely nothing, it was lovely.
4.6
We like that the property is unique in its decor. It is well situated for dog walking. The baths made for relaxing evenings.
Not many channels on the tv. The beds were not very comfortable.
4.6
Firstly Sally was so lovely, nothing was too much trouble.
If you love something different and quirky then this is the place for you. It was fabulous, so many interesting features.
It was spotlessly clean, the bed was super comfy, the bathrooms excellent, plenty of hot water. Nice and warm. Good big fridge/freezer in the kitchen, plenty of pots pans cooking equipment etc..
Great Wi-Fi signal
Superb for walking , out of the door and you're on Dartmouth. The Granite Way cycle way is very close if you like to cycle.
Lots of wildlife. Close to a lot of interesting places.
Having to come home.
