A beautiful hotel in a small village, clearly an older building, with a lot of character and very pleasant to stay in. Spacious sitting areas outside allow to relax nicely. Also the food on offer is very nice and tasty.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
One of the best things is the shower in the room, powerful and hot, perfect after a long day.
Nothing, really.
Access to the rooms might be tricky for people with walking problems, but did not bother me (it is an old building after all).
3.6
Comfortable bed Very quiet night (Friday). Snacks in the fridge and breakfast cereals provided, inc. milk.
Unable to contact staff when there wasn't any hot water in the morning....

I loved the whole feeling of the place, the manager and the staff were very friendly and pleasant
Wen I booked the was a mix up and the room was double booked, very stressed however the manager and staff quickly sorted the problem out and I ended up having a lovely time, deffo go back ,it's such a lovely oldy worldy place

Friendly staff and good welcome. Great beer!
Eggs at breakfast could be better done and shower head could work better.

Valur for money and great staff. Food great.

Beautiful setting in a lovely village. Staff were very friendly. Shower temperature was good as was temperature. Good facilities in the room.
I travel a lot for business and had to book this stay at the last minute.
The meal I had was terrible. I had a burger and chips and I think it was microwaved. the burger was just warm. The second evening I went to the other pub in the village to eat. This meal was much better.
The bed sheets were made of man-made fibres and felt weird.
Limescale stains in the bath.
The bathroom was generally shabby.
the bathroom door would not close as it got stuck on the floor.
The Yale lock latch on the room door was hanging off so the room was not secure.
The lighting in the bathroom was very dim.
The shaving light did not work (no bulb fitted).
I locked myself out of my room (my fault). there was no spare key on the premises! the manager had to come back to the site with the key? In fairness, this did not take long and the staff were very apologetic.
I got a big discount on the price but the place did not meet the minimum standards.
3.6
Old English charm but clean and very well presented.
Not a problem for me but anyone over 6 feet tall staying overnight upstairs in the accommodation may find the stairs and low headroom a slight issue!

Our stay at the Three Tuns was beyond expectations. Location very good. Our room was comfortable and the staff extremely helpful with a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was exceptional. Adequate parking. Would recommend.

Quiet, nice rooms. Warm and cozy and lovely staff.
Needs a lot a TLC and the garden patio area needs some work. It is an old property though but once it’s been cleaned and tidied up, will be perfect.
3.6
The simplicity and basic needs was met
Help yourself to breakfast throughout the day/night was good.
Value for money definitely and nice people.
The coffee facilities was non-existent as the machine had not been switched on Also the room smelt of cigarette smoke, as if someone had been smoking there and the window was closed.
3.6
The room was lovely and spacious, very quiet
The window was left open so the room was cold when we got back late
3.6
Lovely room
Gorgeous open fire in the pub
Comfy bed
Really friendly staff
Beautiful village location
Yummy cooked breakfast to order
Wasn't warned about sloping ceilings and hit head a few times
Nothing in the room to explain how to connect to WiFi, how to get breakfast etc
Help yourself breakfast not great, cereal ran out, bread squashed, coffee not fresh etc

Nothing
It was dirty, bed squeaky, washing machine on till late at night next to the bedroom, room wasn’t cleaned once in the week I stayed, had to request clean towels every day, rubbish bin wasn’t emptied or toilet paper replaced

Ashwell.
On arrival found a collapsed bed..cobwebs and bugs everywhere, filthy bathroom,no wardrobe, offerd another room which apart from the bed was worse and smelt of sweaty feet.Dirty table clothes, food for breakfast not replenished from apparently the guests stealing it the night before, cold showers that trickled out, broken tiles.dirty carpets..no offer of compensation or apology.. the manager blamed contractors when there was none there and has actually hinted that we may have broke the bed when we complained immediately.

Lovely room for adults with a young child, great location. Friendly staff and very good value for money
3.6
The staff were really flexible and helpful allowing us to get changed and leave luggage early as we were heading to a wedding and making it easy for us as we were returning late a night with keys s as bad simple instructions. The family room was perfect as actually 2 bedrooms connected by a door plus bathroom which was just what we needed.
They were in the middle of renovations of the main restaurant, which didn’t affect us but would have been good to know in advance
3.6
The pub is full of character and when I was there you could see the commitment to enhancing and refurbishing the property
The laundry being done down the corridor wasn’t great my bed vibrated during the fast spin (surprise as I was on my own) but was only brief and didn’t intrude.

Bed was lovely, hair dryer, location superb
Building work being carried out

Pretty and old country pub with character. Our room was spacious and they were happy to accommodate our 12 month old. Friendly staff.
Decor and fittings were a little tired in places (eg our shower door was half hanging off and part of one of the walls in the breakfast room was damp with plaster showing).

Staff were great and room lovely.

For a drink and a meal it is pretty good but for overnight stays, pretty poor.
The rooms needed refurbishment. The housekeeping was underwhelming with two cups & one saucer that didn't fit either. The bathroom sink plug was broken and the toilet was constantly running. The television controls were overly complicated with no instruction on there use. There was no phone or means to contact any staff member to resolve any problems. Breakfast was self service including a toaster with no instructions on use but also no member of staff present before 9am. I couldn't recommend the Three Tuns as a good place to stay.

Comfortable bed and bedroom
Poorly maintained

Old village pub with quaint old style, in the process of being renovated
3.6
Room was lovely, great staff
There were WiFi issues, often didn’t have WiFi in my room. No shops near the hotel
3.6
Bar closed, no breakfast provided even though it was paid for. No wardrobe in room or anywhere to hang shirts. No terrestrial TV. Left in hotel overnight with no staff and nobody to open dining room for breakfast. No compensation offered for services not provided - especially breakfast which I had to drive and find somewhere and pay for. Disgusting treatment by this hotel

good location for purpose of visit
it wasn’t clean ..especially the bathroom..the toilet was dirty and the shower needed a good clean.
3.6
The location and staff were brilliant. Comfy beds.
The breakfast set up wasn’t great. We were told that everything will be set up for a continental breakfast but we came down to everything turned off, no cutlery, frozen bread, no tea/coffee machine as this was turned off so had to wait for staff to assist.
The beds were comfy but the rooms weren’t necessarily clean (dusty/bottle lid under bed from previous visitor/dirty glasses). The door kept catching so found it hard to get in and out of the room door, the toilet didn’t flush properly, and the bath filled up when having showers (slow drains?).
3.6
Staff were friendly, courteous snd professional. Breakfast was fantastic
3.6
The location and village is very nice
Staff were stand off and kept us waiting, request for missing toilet rolls did not happen until the following day. Room needed a clean, bathroom taps leaking ,shower dirty, wc leaking very tired and needed changing. Dinning room dirty we had 1 meal and the eat out. Facility description fails to mention the near vertical stairs with low head rooms 5 feet 5inc head room. No fire escape plan in the room or clear assembly point outside.
Continental breakfast was a toaster, loaf of bread in packet, fridge with cartons of fruit juice/ milk. cereal box. No staff at all.
Side door to the property was left propped open all night.
3.6
history
no milk, no tea spoon, cooked breakfast too late at 845
3.6
Breakfast was very good but we were not offered any jam or marmalade for our toast. Our meal on the first night was tasty and reasonably priced. The bathroom towels were big and thick.
We stayed 2 nights but nobody made our room up after the first night. While the bed was comfortable, the rest of the furniture was very dated and damaged. The carpet was unvacuumed near the bin and the bath / shower did not drain away. We found the staircase to the rooms very dangerous and not really suitable for guests of our age (over 65’s).
