The Lodge at Cherry Butte is a luxurious yet rustic vacation rental that offers exceptional comfort and flexibility to accommodate any family. Located on Cherry Butte, it offers stunning views of the Henry's Fork of the Snake River, the Teton Mountain Range, and farmland. With easy access to nearby national parks, waterfalls, lakes, and rivers, it is the perfect vacation spot for families looking for adventure and outdoor activities.
The Space:
LIVING AREA: Features huge, open living area with fully equipped kitchen with a center island that seats up to eight and a large dining table that seats up to 12 that flows into a family room with a fireplace, large screen TV, and massive picture windows with a direct view of the Tetons. WIFI access is available throughout the lodge although you'll be templed by the amazing surroundings to 'turn off' completely. The family room double doors lead to a huge patio for enjoying the incredible view, cooking outdoors, or soaking in the HOT TUB regardless of the weather.
SLEEPING QUARTERS: There are separate sleeping areas offering exceptional privacy: The Main Master Suite includes a king size bed, gas fireplace, TV, bath tub, separate shower, large walk-in closet, and double doors opening to a patio and the hot tub. The Main Master Suite includes an adjacent bedroom that sleeps up to 8 in a bunk-style setting with a separate full bathroom. There's a master bedroom off of the kitchen with a king size bed and its own bathroom. The second floor features a third master bedroom with a queen size bed, full bath, and walk-in closet. Adjacent to it is the huge multi-purpose activity room with a TV that can sleep 9 in bunk beds (expanding up to 13 with a pullout couch and an extra mattress) also equipped with a full bathroom for parties with a lot of kids!
OTHER AMENITIES: The 3-stall GARAGE and large outside parking area provide ample room for vehicles and recreational equipment. A large WET ROOM with lockers, sink, washer/dryer, and half bath provides a great place to clean-up before entering the main living space. Other amenities include a large supply of bath and bedding supplies, kitchen appliances, plates/glasses/utensils - all you need for cooking and sleeping in rustic luxury!

Perched on Cherry Butte, which sits overlooking the Henry's Fork of the Snake River with a stunning view of the Teton Mountain Range to the east and a broad panorama of farmland to the south and west. Walk out the back door and head north and you are within a 5 minute walk to the Targhee National Forest boundary. Jump in your car or on your bike and you are within a short ride to some of the best scenery Idaho has to offer including the majestic Western slopes of the Tetons, several waterfalls including the powerful Mesa Upper Falls, numerous rivers and lakes for trout fishing, the world-class Grand Targhee Ski Resort, and easy access to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. The surrounding mountains and valleys offer the perfect habit for wild game - deer, elk, moose, bear, and wild birds - making it a hunter's paradise! The never-ending trail systems offer terrific hiking and mountain or road biking opportunities for beginning and serious enthusiasts alike. And, nearby lakes and rivers provide easy access to water sports - boating, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming.

We had the most amazing time here. Check in was super easy, the views we’re stunning we didn’t want to leave.! We seen a moose and baby right in the yard. It walked right beside our cars in the driveway. We seen 1 black bear and 3 brown bears close by. It was the most amazing family vacation and will definitely rent here again.

The property is beautiful inside and out. Great view of the Tetons. We had plenty of room to gather inside. It was impossible to get the bedrooms to cool down though which made sleeping conditions uncomfortable. One of the kids ended up on the couch because the bedroom was too hot. We would have liked to eat out back but there is only a table for 4 outside and not the best. The park benches around the fireplace aren’t the comfiest either.

Such a beautiful clean house in a remote location. Close enough to things if you need to do them, but far enough for a remote vacation. My only suggestion would be getting another fridge for large groups. Easy and great communication with the owners. Very attentive as well.

Great place for a retreat! Quite far from Yellowstone but close to river for tubing. Large gathering /eating area but close sleeping quarters. We really enjoyed our stay. Thanks for everything!

We had a very nice stay at this lovely, well appointed home. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are quite comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub & quietness. It was nice taking long walks/hikes & fishing nearby.

Magnificent!
This property is absolutely gorgeous! Clean, clean, clean!! Staying at this property is like staying at your own private little resort! Between the beautiful house and the wonderful amenities - you can’t go wrong! We especially enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, and the grill! The lawn was beautifully manicured and the entire setting and views were amazing. So peaceful and quiet!! I can’t say enough great things about this property! You will be so happy you booked it - if you don’t , you will be missing out on something great!

Marvelous Vacation!
Our family of 18 just returned from a vacation here. Everyone from the youngest child to the oldest adult said the property exceeded expectations! We spent most of our time on the patio and in the hot tub taking in the stunning views, but the house is wonderful as well. Tons of space in the kitchen/dining/living area which is where we always gathered. Pretty good access to both Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, where we took day trips. Returning to this isolated and peaceful property was a welcome end to a busy day in the national parks. Would highly recommend staying here!

No patio furniture except for plastic folding chairs. View was deceptive as far as the proximity of the Tetons. Not quite the sleeping capacity advertised either. Other than that it was a great property and met the rest of our expectations.

The perfect home in the perfect setting
This really is the perfect home in the perfect setting- an ideal spot for a single family getaway or multiple families staying together (which is what we did). This home would also be great for company off-sites.
The home itself is big, beautiful and brand new. Every detail has been considered from the bathroom tile, linens and bedding to the outdoor hot tub with an automated "roof" that easily raises and lowers. You won't find a more beautiful home anywhere.
We were blown away by the setting. The home sits on top of a hill overlooking valleys and mountains. Waking up to see the sun rising over the Teton mountains was incredible, as was looking out the kitchen window to see a couple of moose walking up the hill across from the house. The home feels secluded and very private while only being a few minutes away from downtown Ashton and the main highway.
During our stay, we drove to Island Park (only 30 minutes away) and went snowmobiling. This was one of the most relaxing, most fun family getaways we've had. Even our teenage kids gave it a rating of "100% awesome"
Thank you to the owner and host of this amazing home for creating a place where families and friends can come together to make new memories.

Amazing house and view
My family and I love the house and the view was amazing. The house was very clean, great for family. I would highly recommend a 4x4 wheel drive car to drive up to the house during winter as it was kind of tough to drive up using a 2-wheel drive car/van. Also, we were grateful for Elise and Royce for their help during our stay. Overall, I would give this house a 5-star rating.

Wonderful cabin with all the amenities and spectacular views! Great location near Yellowstone!
This beautiful cabin has plenty of space for multiple families. There is an awesome fire pit and hot tub overlooking the valley with spectacular views of the Tetons. Great location for fishing the Henry's Fork. It is within an hour of Yellowstone National Park. Easy day trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming as well. There are great dining options in nearby Ashton and Island Park. The cabin itself is stunning with all the amenities. There is plenty of space for large groups. It is in a secluded location with wildlife walking through the yard. Highly recommend! A must stay!!

Spacious cabin tucked away with an amazing view! Close to Mesa Falls and just a short scenic drive into West Yellowstone. Beautiful cabin - inside and out. Owners are great to work with! Couldn't have asked for a better vacation- even had a few foxes come visit the last night there!

This lodge is a true gem.
We were honored to be the first guests to stay at this stunning lodge. Although at the time it was still a work in progress it gave us exactly what we were looking for. A convenient location to both Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. The location over looking a beautiful Idaho Valley along the Warm River was splendid. Our view of the West side of the Grand Tetons from the patio was beautiful. This is a great location for year round adventure. We would recommend this lodge to anyone looking to explore. We would love to return sometime in the future to explore even more.
