Ça me rappelle l'internat à l'école 😅

Herzliche Gastgeberin
Das Aussteigerparadies schlägt auch bis hierhin durch.

The View.
Bed Bugs problem even though many people said so before in the reviews. Also no response from the host after I accidentally paid to much.

on the plus side the view from the balcony was amazing. And even if the place was a bit old and worn the guy that was cleaning did a good job. The location was good and there was a busstop very close.
BEDBUGS. oh yes and they knew which makes it worse. If I had known when I came I could have made precautions like not putting my trolley on the floor and not putting clothes on the bed. It is not all the bites that I got, but that I now have to Home not knowing if I have bedbugs in my suitcase 🥺 not cool a all.

Good location with nice views. Fine basic and spacy old-style room. Good to have a kitchen.
The house is like a community environment, so people mingle around the kitchen, shared rooms, and bathrooms. It is very noisy.
The kitchen is quite small for such a place.
The address is not clear, it is difficult to find the exact spot.

the village it is located and the price was nice.
we got the wrong room without window and balcony. for one night okay. it was confirmed two times that we can check in the morning but then it was not possible. Warm water just for some minutes although we were the first person at 6am that took a shower in the shared bathroom.

location & value for money. Our rental car broke down and we needed emergency accommodation at short notice for a night. It did the job well. The staff were very friendly.
A little noisy and the room was very basic. but great value for money and served it’s purpose.

This is a wonderful, historic building, with original features and an amazing view down to the sea. the bathrooms are shared and there is a shared kitchen so you could stay here very cheaply for some time. The location set back up the road above coast is much quieter and feels like a local neighbourhood. We really loved meeting the owner of the accommodation and the Spanish school downstairs and the lovely man who maintains the rooms. We would definitely stay here again and it was very good value.

The terrace and the location are good value for money
The place may need some kind of deep cleaning, I suspect the presence of bed bugs...

Te view from the room was amazing, also great big roof terrace, friendly hosts
The place has really big potential but unfortunately is not well developed. The rooms have a beautiful large door to a decorative balcony, very high as well as the rooms themselves, unfortunately, are equipped with dirty chairs and old beds (single, although a double was booked). Also you can find some bed bugs here and there, mainly in the bed and on the wall behind. The object has a kitchen accessible to all guests that is sticky and you can find mostly old food in it (also due to other tenants). There is quite some mold and ducktape here and there as well as broken equipment in bathroom and toilet. Beautiful rooftop terrace offers old and unseatable furniture. Object with typical hostel vibe.

High ceilings,location,history,nice staff
I would remove all broken used staff which is lieing every where and ruining the spirit of the great place.

It’s 20 min walk from the port and many good restaurants , 5 min from the bus station . I LOVED my room and balcony from it. I had no lights in a room and used a little lamp instead. The ceiling is very high and the doors too, I liked the floor a lot too.
No receptionist or front desk person in a hostel to ask questions. No one. You are on your own. An older man speaks Spanish . I think he cleans the hostel. He is nice. One of the toilets didn’t flush, water in one shower doesn’t go down. Sink in the second shower is broken. So I used one toilet but washed my hands in a second bathroom.

Nice building in a very quaint hillside area above Val del Rey. The lady owner was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are full of character with nice sea views from the window and balcony
I know it’s a good value for money hostal but there’s no excuse for uncleanliness. The communal kitchen was dirty with unwashed pots and pans and leftover food. The bathroom was not very clean and there is no hot water for shaving. The floors were dirty, my pillows were filthy and I had to wrap a towel around the pillow to avoid contact.
There is no soundproofing whatsoever. There is noise from other tenants all night. Some selfish people came in at 2am and were crashing and banging doors. You definitely need earplugs to get a good nights sleep here

Rooms of real character in a beautiful old building, used to be a school, now also a language school. Balconies with great views and high ceilings, friendly owner and staff. Kitchen facilities. Good value and most recommended.

Arriving by bus from San Sebastian do not go down to the beach, but get off at ayuntamiento (like city hall) recognizable by flags. Take the stairs on the left side of the building and ask Idea language school. It is some 50 m up... There is a nice view of the coast from the rooms with the windows. Ask for the room 6 - it has two sides view. They have also roof terrace but it could be cleaner.
This property has a private rooms but atmosphere of the hostel. You can use tiny kitchen where every room has a shelf for the food, but it can disappear... Wifi access also periodically disappear. It is old building; be prepared for the electricity breaks (fuses are in the room 1 - not always accessible). The staff is available only from time to time and vagabond-type persons from the street can be easily around - keep your room locked and you will be OK :)
