There’s tons of space at Deja Blue for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves. The main living area is open to the kitchen, allowing for seamless socialization and conversations. A glass door leads out to the spacious main level deck.
Around the corner from the living area is a dining nook, and there's more casual seating at the kitchen island. The placement of the kitchen allows for unobstructed views of the bay through the windows. Pristine white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and recessed lighting combine to create a clean and efficient space to flip a stack of pancakes in the mornings or pack up some sandwiches and snacks for a day at the beach.
Through an arched opening lies the private and tranquil master suite. A king-size bed, flatscreen television, and plush carpeting create a quiet oasis to unwind at the end of the day. You’ll have full views of the bay waters below from the windows, and access to the covered deck. The ensuite master bathroom features a double vanity, spa-like soaking tub, and separate step-in shower. There’s also a half bathroom off the main living space on the first floor.
On the upper level, another living area provides plenty of flexible hangout space for large groups to relax. A foosball table and a ping pong table provide endless family fun— with a futon to accommodate any spectators. Another covered deck lies just off this living area and provides truly epic, third-story, sweeping views of the bay.
Three more bedrooms on the upper level can handle any combination of sleeping arrangements for your crew. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, the second bedroom has two queen-size beds, and the third bedroom has a twin-over-twin bunk bed and a twin-over-full bunk bed with a twin trundle. A laundry nook and a full bathroom can be accessed from the hallway.
Deja Blue is a truly stunning vacation home. But what elevates this home to unforgettable status is the magnificent location. Perched directly on the shores of the bay, you’ll be awestruck at the simple beauty and peacefulness that surrounds this home. Take a walk along the rambling boardwalk and enjoy the sites and sounds of coastal birdsong and gentle offshore breezes. Grab your fishing gear and catch some fresh fish to grill on the barbeque that evening. Relax with a good book and a cool drink on one of the soaring decks that overlook this magical oasis.
And when you can tear yourself away from this unspoiled splendor, the sandy beach and exciting Galveston Strand are only an easy drive away. The term “deja vu” means a feeling you’ve experienced something before— and a stay at Deja Blue will make you feel like you want to return to this spot again and again.

We selected this property on the bay as we had always stayed on the beach. The bay would give us a different experience. The views of the bay and sunset were beautiful. The area is like a wet land so the bugs and mosquito's where terrible to the point that you could not go outside at night or early in the morning. Although this is not an property issue, it should be stated in the listing. The house is nice but has not been well maintained. The carpets are very old and stained (pet friendly). The walls, casings and light switch covered were covered in dirt and hand prints. The shower tiles had pink mold growth all around. The kitchen had limited utensils and the bottom of the BBQ pit was completely rusted out. Overall, the value was good and we made the best of what we had.

This is a great place for a large group. We throughly enjoyed our stay. It fit us all perfectly and our kids loved the entertainment space upstairs. This house had everything we needed and wanted for this mini vacation.

This property is not what the photos portray it to be. We had a hard time from the minute we arrived. The code was wrong they gave us to access the house, they advertise a gate but the gate was on the ground broken and just ridiculous, the house was full of gnats all weekend. We couldn't even cook food in the oven because the door wouldn't close on the oven and the oven kept cutting off. The gnats swarmed so bad we went out and purchased traps and Clorox for the disposal and none of it worked. We couldn't even eat food because of the gnats. There was a storm or two over the weekend. The master bedroom window was leaking water through the walls and window seals. The master bathroom door knob was broken completely off. Cracked floors in the living room and the entire house swayed with the wind all weekend. The outside of the house had cracked beams and siding that probably made the sway worse and the elevator was not accessible to us. The street the house sits on was scary with no street lights and we were concerned about getting stuck with the rain because the road was so low. Overall this was NOT what we paid for and we were very disappointed. They told us maintenance would come out and help with the gnats and the leaking window and nobody ever showed up and the owner stopped responding. This is not how you conduct business and we were truly appalled and disgusted. We had family meet us there for a very difficult time in our life and we were so embarrassed by the condition.

The property was perfect! The house had plenty of space, video games that kept all the adults busy, beautiful views. I had to buy a crock pot due to the one in the pantry being broke…but that wasn’t a problem. I would definitely stay here again. I loved that it was in a gated community and very quiet.

Great house that accommodated all guest. Teens and tweens loved the upstairs game room. Dads and uncles enjoyed finishing and crabbing, the mommas and aunties enjoyed wine and sunsets. The only thing I would have to say is that the cooking supplies was challenging as we had to cook for an army. I’d suggest bringing your own large pan. And extra blankets. Everyone had a great time.

My family and I stayed in this beautiful home during our trip to Galveston.
We were absolutely not disappointed. One of my main concerns when booking was whether or not the air conditioning would work properly considering the heat outside.
We opened the door and I was so grateful to feel the cool air! The temperature in the house was consistent and did not get warm during the day. I am not a person that sleeps just anywhere.
I genuinely felt that the bed was clean even though I used my own blankets.
My husband and family enjoyed the pier! Super convenient considering we had my nephews and niece with us. They were able to go in and out of the house while the family was fishing.
The only thing I would suggest that we didn't do was bring lights. When night fishing its very dark because there is no lighting.
My husband caught six fish during the night fishing and my brother caught two fish in the morning.
The beaches are close by. Restaurants within 20 minutes Drive.
I would absolutely stay here again! The owner was very quick at getting back with me anytime I messaged.
I would absolutely recommend this home!

There were 14 men in our group and we had plenty of room and a great stay. House was well equipped and game room was a hit with the younger men. The only warning is for older guests the furniture is low. They might have difficulty getting up and down on it, but it was nice furniture. Neighborhood was quiet and very close to everything. Fishing pier was nice. The host communicated well with us thru out the stay. I highly recommend this house.

We were in town for the Galveston half Ironman and needed a place to call home. Deja Blue definitely fit the bill and was a great house for the family. The kids loved the play areas and my wife and I enjoyed a cocktail on the patio. We would highly recommend this property to others! Thanks for letting us enjoy your home.

Best Beach Staycation Ever!!!
"Our family had a great time at Deja Blue! No one wanted to leave. Next time, I plan on renting for at least a full week as long as the calendar permits. I loved the secluded location on the bay. This was the perfect get a way stay for our family. I loved every inch of the home! The home was clean and contained a fully stocked kitchen for the chef of the family. The entire property was massive. The pictures were on point. Our host Russell was very attentive and responded in a timely manner for minor concerns. If this property were for sale by owner, I would definitly make an offer and leave my big city life behind me! This was the best beach staycation so far! This property is definitly a five-star diamond!"

Weekend getaway
Loc was great facility was great. Can’t say the same for the fishing. We tried live bait, fresh dead and artificial lures. The only thing biting were crabs.
The family n xt to us had no luck either . Other than that everything else was good.

Spring break vacation
Beautiful home away from all the hustle and bustle of the main beaches. This rental is perfect for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The kids fished and crabbed their little hearts out. Some of the reviews mention mosquitos, but it was pretty windy when we stayed so we didn’t encounter that issue. Overall everyone enjoyed themselves and we look forward to visiting again.

Fun weekend getaway
House was nice and as advertised. We had a fun weekend getaway and enjoyed fishing from the dock and sunsets on the balcony. TV situation left a little to be desired. Only programming available came through SLING with slow internet service and picture was more grainy than standard def. For the price of the house you’d think they could pony up for DirecTV or cable with a decent signal. But, we weren’t really there to watch TV and it was really only a minor inconvenience.

Great Getaway!
This is a great place to getaway. It is right on the water and has a pier for fishing or just relaxing. Everything was wonderful, but wish we could have stayed longer.

What it's Not
This property is family friendly. Disappointed in
quality of beds and furniture. The unfinished repairs made us nervous about being held responsible for damage. Emailed Host concerns, turned out ok. Second time tot VRBO
and was spoiled . Area was quiet as we need as was a family
time together after loosing my husband in September.

Peaceful getaway!!
Home was in a secluded spot on the water away from all the hustle and bustle. If you are looking for a quite place to get away with your family this place is perfect. Great Space for the kids to play inside and out, fish of the pier out back or launch a kayak to paddle around the semi protected bay. Home was beautiful and well stocked. Plenty room for a large family or two.

August two night stay
Very new property, in very good condition, with easy access to the bay for a kayak. Lots of fishermen and kayaks out there. We did not experience the mosquitos the way some seem to have. Internet access was flakey and somewhat random. Among beach/bay houses, this is top notch.

Beautiful and Serene
This property is exactly what it says on its listing. It's beautiful and peaceful. The house is gorgeous and fully furnished. There are plenty of places to sleep and the bean bag chair, Foosball table and the ping pong table definitely kept the kids busy. The sunset is amazing from the balcony and to see the sunrise you have to walk out on the pier, but you can still see it. The fish are constantly jumping out of the water which is fun to watch. I will say you definitely need to bring ALOT of mosquito spray. The mosquitos are relentless.... not to bad in the mornings but the afternoons are something else. It's in a bay area so I think that is probably the reason for the mosquitos. You can't hear the waves here... the water is real calm and doesn't make much of a sound. I will say to be prepared for smaller kids and anyone who has trouble climbing stairs to be ready. My mother in law made it but it was a task for her, but that's to be expected at the beach. The neighborhood is new so it's not even on Google maps but the host recommended downloading and using the app Waze... which helped tremendously. The house is fully stocked with cookware and any utensils you would possibly need. A drawer dedicated per eating utensil...a drawer for spoons, a drawer for forks, a drawer for knives.... it was awesome. 3 cabinets filled to the top with cups and glasses of all kinds! Plenty of towels and rags...I will recommend purchasing paper towels as 1 roll that is provided is not enough. The master bedroom and bath were so amazing. We want to remodel our bathroom at our house now! Pirate Beach is less than a 10 minute drive away and is a really good beach for families and isn't crowded at all. We went there at night to go crab hunting. There weren't a ton of crabs on the beach for just enough for us. The host responds almost instantly and checks in randomly to see how you are doing and if you needed anything. It really was a great experience. I definitely recommend staying here.

We made the trip for my husbands birthday, and he absolutely adored the home! We all loved it, and the pics don't quite do the bay views justice. We will be back, you can count on that!
