Located in Villa in Shanklin a short walk from sandy beaches and convenient for the town center and The Old Village with its tea houses and old taverns.
Also convenient for trains and buses.
SUNNY GARDEN APARTMENT in a prestigious part of Shanklin and a short walk from a fantastic sandy beach stretching for miles, a wide promenade with waterfront restaurants providing live music most days, cafes and gift shops.
Shanklin centre is a 10 minutes walk away with its own railway station and bus routes to cover most of the island.
The renowned Old Village is also within walking distance with its thatched cottages, tearooms and taverns.
The apartment is newly refurbished to a good modern standard and has its own PRIVATE ENTRANCE HALL.

Johanne was very helpful with ferry information before we arrived. A warm welcome greeted us with lots of lovely touches in the apartment, which is hidden away on the side of Johanne and John's house. Whilst compact, the apartment is spotlessly clean, light, airy and equipped with everything you should need, with private garden area.
We didn't realise just how steep the hills are but if you didn't want to take the car there is a bus stop to go into the town about 500 yds up the road.

Extremely nice and friendly people, very efficient with responding when we needed help before arrival. Beautiful location cca 3min walking from the coast and beautiful house and amazing garden. We received very warm welcome with complimentary bottle of wine from the hosts. We absolutely loved it ❤️

The property is a one bedroom apartment close to Shanklin beach, Shanklin old village and on a main route to access other areas. The hosts were very friendly and flexible with our check in times. Although fairly small the property makes great use of the space. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need - cooker, microwave, toaster, fridge / freezer, crockery & glasses.
The bedroom/living/dining area is well laid out, the bed was comfortable. The shower was small but fully functional with both raindrop & flexible shower heads. The hosts also left a welcome pack for us. The driveway entrance is tight for a larger car and needs care when joining the main road as it’s on a hill & bend. Parking is off road at the property. There is a small garden area with table/2 chairs.
In the summer period the sun is bright in the bedroom so black-out curtains on the wide patio doors might be an idea otherwise you get woken up at 4:00am on sunny days. A fan and perhaps an ice cube tray might also be a useful summer addition. The hosts live on the property so are available for any queries / help and to be fair we didn’t ask for any of these so they may have been available if needed. Overall it was a great property, well positioned, clean & tidy with very lovely hosts. We would use them again.

Johanne and John are excellent hosts and really made our stay in Shanklin memorable.
It was a short walk to bus train shops pub’s restaurants and the flat was extremely comfortable and cozy.
5 stars all round .

Enjoyable stay
We really enjoyed our stay and Johanna and John are excellent hosts. The apartment is clean and neat and had everything we needed during our stay. It is also conveniently located and not far too walk to the beach where you’ll find a variety of cafes. The Salix Cafe was the best for a full English breakfast and you can walk all the way to Sandown Pier from there.
The apartment feels very private with its own entrance and garden and the area is quiet. There is also ample secure parking.

The property met all our expectations not suitable for people with
Walking difficulties as many stones underfoot and on a very steep
Hill for getting to town & beach also the owners assumed we would be leaving by 10am not as stated on our email and were knocking on

The Apartment was compact but well appointed and well equipped.
Obviously a lot of thought had gone into the needs of guests. The hosts were always available but discrete in keeping out of the way of guests. The kitchen is a tight squeeze at times but everything works well. The main room is tastefully furnished and has a comfortable bed. The outside area is small but very private. It's an ideal hideaway for a couple wanting peace and quiet.

Neat little studio flat.
Nice property. Well equipped and modern. Very welcoming owners. Only slight problem was one of those sofas they make now that collapses under you at the back and is therefore hard to get out of at our age but plenty of cushions to build it up.

Friendly Greeting & Great Location!
Nice apartment set in lovely private gardens. Owners friendly and helpful, bottle of wine much appreciated! Just a short walk down to Shanklin seafront, the Old Village or the railway station. Lovely holiday, hope to return one day!

Lovely apartment
Hi there, the apartment was very well equipped, clean and cosy. We had everything you would need for a self catering holiday. In the evening the patio space was bathed in sun, it was really nice to relax and chill out in the evening sunshine. Plus of course many thanks to the proprietors for a wonderful stay!

Perfect size and situation for two adults, extremely comfortable and peaceful.
On arrival Johanna made us feel very welcome,meeting us at the property even though we had managed to catch a ferry two hours earlier. Johanna and John not only provided us with the basics of tea and coffee but went that extra mile providing us with fresh milk, wine and beer. We would recommend this property to any couple requiring a base to discover the beauty of the Island.

Perfect! Exactly what we needed. Quiet, private, thoughtfully equiped and imacculately clean, lovely and considerate owners - can’t thank them enough for giving us a very much needed break. Beer, wine, milk and a bottle of water on arrival and the beautiful fresh flowers from their garden. Tea, coffee and Fairy Liquid etc - all the essentials thoughtfully provided, felt at home on arrival. Fabulous location and would recommend and go back if we are lucky enough to get the time. Ticked all the boxes. Thank you.

Our stay in Shanklin
We enjoyed a lovely five days on the IOW.The cottage was ideally situated close to bus stops which enabled us to travel all over the island, in fact we did not use the car for the whole time.
The owners were very friendly and helpful and greeted us on arrival. The accommodation was just as stated in the information.We liked the personal touches beer,wine, milk and water in the fridge.A vase of flowers and a dish of sweets.
A great place to stay for a short break to enjoy the island.The owners had left numerous leaflets for us to browse through so we could visit different places on the island.
A lovely garden with a BBQ unfortunately going in March it was too cold to sit out and enjoy.
We would recommend this property.

A lovely place to stay, we would definitely return.
We booked for a winter break and were pleasantly surprised at how nice the garden apartment was. Johanne and John couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. The apartment had everything you could need including Wi-Fi and tea, coffee and milk was there for our arrival along with a bottle of wine on a table laid out for dinner. We had complete privacy with our own garden to use. We have to mention the bed as it was extremely comfortable and the apartment was very clean and warm which was nice as it was January. The location is near the beach and shops and we would recommend it to anyone looking to stay on the island.

Ideal bed/sit for a couple.
Parking off road excellent
Faces due south which makes it very cheerful and ideally situated to make it easy to get out and about but for us bus pass brigade even better.
Bus stop about 400yds away on the No3 route so no need for car during whole of stay as interconnections very good
Also Taxis very reasonable.

Very nice, well-maintained apartment
We had a very comfortable stay here. The apartment was well equipped with the bonus of two relaxing garden patios. The owners could not have been more friendly or helpful. We found it a perfect base for exploring the whole of the lovely Isle of Wight
