This was a great space for a visit with extended family. The room configuration allowed for one group to be upstairs and another to be downstairs. The common area upstairs was fun to gather for playing ping pong and games, and the house was conveniently located for accessing the beach and town. Spectacular redwoods in Jedidiah Smith State Park were just a short drive away.

The best part of our stay here was the comfortable beds. We appreciated the remodeled bathrooms and the kitchen. The neighborhood was less desirable. Overall the house was clean, but there was noticeable dust on the bed headboards, lamps, and floor. We loved the lighthouse which is only a few miles away.

Home has a great layout and close to everything

Place was generally clean but not particularly welcoming. Well supplied with bath linens Lots of toys for children. The ping pong table was great! A few dated games and puzzles.
Overall it was an ok place to stay. Definitely no extras. Be sure to take laundry supplies and a couple of extra dish towels (there were only two, and no drainer, so we needed more.)
Two story property. There was a stair rail, but for someone with a visual impairment the stairs were difficult to navigate. Would benefit from a contrasting color of tape at stair step edges.
Overall it suited our purpose.

This was a great location to venture out to the National Parks. Jedidiah Smith and Del Norte are both quite close. My family found the house comfortable with plenty of room for the five of us to spread out. The ping pong table upstairs was a big hit! The dining area and kitchen are very spacious. It was walkable to the waterfront and a cute little park. We chose to drive everywhere else in town including the marina to see the sea lions splashing and barking. We contacted the host a few times with questions and they were very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

It would be nice to have a list of streaming apps that you have instead of trying all of them too see. Thanks that’s all

We had a great stay. Comfy beds and room for all of us. We had 5 of us 10-78 and it was a great place for us to have a home base on our trip to see the redwoods. Close to town, the beach and state parks! Thank you to Joseph for all the help. What a wonderful host!!

Perfect for our family. Kitchen was a great gathering place. Beds were comfy and the yard was great for the kids.

This property fit our needs for a group of 6. The ping pong table was an excellent bonus and the location was great to explore the ocean and the Redwoods.

Being the only non-hotel stay during our 3600 mile 5 National Park vacation, this property was a wonderful break. Very close proximity to the beach and overall a great stay. I would certainly recommend staying if you will visiting Crescent City, Jedidiah State Park of course Redwood National Park.

Nice bedding and spacious accommodations. Plenty of towels including beach towels which were appreciated. Short walk to a nice rocky beach to watch the sunset. A few blocks away from Rumiano cheese factory which is a good place to grab a snack. Only complaint is there was a lot of trash left in the outside cans so whoever stayed last few times didn’t take the garbage to the street. We could barely fit our one bag in there.
Everything else was great.

We had a fantastic stay in Crescent City! There was a hiccup with check-in, but it was in no way the owners' fault. They apologized and credited us one night. The home was super clean with lots of room. Earlier reviews mentioned lack of things to do in the place. When we were there, there was a ping pong table, DVDs (you can also use your streaming services), games, a puzzle, and a basket of toys for the kids. Quick walk to the beach. It's not a swimming beach, but full of cool rocks with tide pools close by. Owners were responsive and gave us suggestions of things to do. Would go back here in a heartbeat! Loved our stay and am missing it already.

This is our second time staying here we absolutely love this house and location. If you have kids/teens there is plenty to do and the park is a short walk up the street and beach access is just around the bend…Always feels like home.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was clean and had plenty of room. Nicely decorated with new appliances and furniture. There was coffee creamers, and some things to make you feel right at home. Just a few short blocks from the beach and a great cheese shop. The little plum tree in the backyard had delicious ripe plums on it! Thanks for a wonderful stay

Nice house, great beds but not a comfortable chair in the house.
Overall everything was as advertised.

Excellent
The place was very clean and well stocked. The only minor complaint would be just one tiny TV upstairs. Would have been nice to have a TV in a bedroom or two.

Family travel
The overall house was wonderful simplistic has just the bare minimum of what you need. Advice if traveling with children please bring stuff to keep them occupied there’s absolutely nothing in the house other than a very small TV for a large living room that does have app stations for you to view such as Netflix etc. it was very accommodating it was very spacious and open for us to stay where we wanted to stay and not be on top of everybody

Great location and lot to see at the redwoods
Great property with 4 rooms, which were enough for a family with children and grandparents. Really good starting point to visit the Redwoods!!! We enjoyed the stay there!

Redwood
House is spacious and location is great. Everything is good except few things like more utensils in kitchen like cereal bowls and extra tea cups . It was hot downstairs in the night, couldn’t able to open windows and there was no table fan or AC.Host promptly answered all the questions I asked. I would definitely stay here again .

Lovely stay among giants
This is a very comfortable Crescent City home-a short walk to the beach and a short drive to spectacular Redwood forest in the form of Jedidiah National park. Our family of 5, including 3 teenage boys, oved our stay and the ability to relax and rewind and spread out for a few nights after days spent outside hiking in the forest among the giant Redwoods (truly breathtaking) and walking along tide pools along the Crescent City beach during low tide, spotting sea stars along the way.
The home has very comfortable beds, bedding and ample towels and toiletries. The kitchen is sizable and easy to meal prep in. Just what we needed for our stay.

Fine but needs more supplies
The house was spacious and adequate for our group of 6. The kitchen was especially nice with plenty of seating. However, 10 plates & 10 bowls, and silverware were not enough for a house this size, and we ran out of dishwasher soap because we actually ate at the home 2 meals/day. Multiple towels were provided for upstairs bathroom but none for downstairs', and my poor teens didn't tell us that until we left. Not enough hot water for 4 showers in a row. We were disappointed in Pebble Beach- the "sand" was more like Kitty Liter and difficult to walk on. Totally not the owner's fault, but proximity to the beach was an important aspect for my family, so that was disappointing and we just "beached" elsewhere. The neighborhood was pretty run down, but didn't seem unsafe. In summary, the house was big enough and nice enough, but not well enough equipped (yet!) for more than 3 people.

Okay Stay - Consider Other Options, Especially For This Price
The house was good (read on) but our interactions with the hosts added stress to our trip. The door code they gave us didn't work. We were only able to get in three hours later (at 7pm). The new door code also stopped working on our second to last day but we managed because the hosts had let us know about a spare key stashed outside. Adding to these miscommunications is probably the fact that the door code thing's batteries may be on their last legs, but rather than consider that and apologize, the hosts blamed me for not trying enough methods to get in touch with them, kept reiterating they didn't know why it wasn't working, got terse when I asked for a refund for that first night, and regarded me providing a second/additional phone number they could reach our family at as adding to the problem. They didn't get back to me about my request for a first night refund until I asked again four days later. They refunded us $50. I have never asked for a one-night refund anywhere I've stayed before in my life and felt it was fair and appropriate to stand up for ourselves considering we were locked out of the house for the three hours of dinnertime after we had all driven the whole day to get to Crescent City. Given the cost of this house and abundance of other options, consider staying at a different rental.
The house is clean with a newly updated kitchen. Beds are comfortable. Location is quiet. The heater heats the house up right away. Washer and dryer can do big loads. Toiletries and stacks of folded towels are waiting for you in each bedroom. You are a 5 minute walk from an ocean viewpoint and probably 10 minutes for sand access.
The house is minimally furnished. On the plus side, that means it was really clean and there was no clutter. On the minus, it means there are ceiling-height built-in shelf units that are all empty and I wouldn't describe the house as "cozy." The newly updated kitchen has things like a blender, crockpot, whisk, and stemless wine glasses; doesn't have measuring spoons, small or medium saucepans, or water glasses. If you need a specific kitchen item or non-stick cookware, check ahead or bring your own.
There is no outdoor space to sit with this unit (and none was advertised, so that's okay). There's a small fenced backyard (no patio table or chairs).

Clean and spacious
Set up like a hotel suite with mini soaps and towels on the foot of the bed. There are two living rooms so there was space for children to play while grownups visited. Close to everything!
