Excellent

The room is excellent in space, tidiness, and I love the front door balcony very much! We enjoyed the breakfast everyday outside for our 2 night stay. It is located next to a wheat farm and we observed a lota of good birds around the house! Also, the sheeps, alpacas, deers are all so cute! They all have a name but I forgot their names now.. When you got some feed for them, they were all look crazy and licking your hand.

Eines der schönsten Unterkünfte auf unserer Neuseeland Rundreise.

Chalet 1 ist direkt an der Weide mit den Alpakas und Schafen. - Super ausgestattetes & wunderschönes Chalet - top modern und alles noch sehr neu - der Kühlschrank war mit Obst, Joghurt, Milch, Wasser, Saft gefüllt. Es gab außerdem sehr leckeres Müsli, Toast, Kaffee, Tee, Kekse & Schokolade. Das fanden wir sehr aufmerksam! - uns wurde ein Eimer mit Futter für die Tiere zur Verfügung gestellt. Wird durften alle Tiere füttern. Das war natürlich unser Highlight. -Bequemes Bett mit Aussicht auf die Weide / Gebirge.

Un bémol mais sans grande importance : l’appareil pour le café est vraiment très petit pour deux. Facile à améliorer

Hidden Gem in Kaikoura! A cozy and unique experience with animals!

Love the serene location just on the edge of Kaikoura. The chalet is huge, cozy and clean. Looks, feels and smells newly renovated and not to mention its a hidden gem in the town! There were Deers and Alpacas surrounding the chalet that the host provides delicious food to be fed if you would like.

Toiletries are insufficient. Shampoo and Body Wash could be more, like a dispenser.

A peaceful stay with animal feeding

Great location, near enough to the center but not too close so it was quiet and peaceful. We loved feeding the animals. The hosts also gave us complimentary food and drinks to have which was such a nice touch.

An ideal place to relax and enjoy the views and explore the area.

Everything was amazing. All perfect. Big comfortable bed, brilliant bathroom with ton and shower. Views of the sheep and Alpaca and food to feed them was brilliant. The treats, drinks and breakfast were grateful appreciated.

Not a thing! The road wasn’t as noisy as we expected it to be. Great fish and chips just minutes away on Beach Road.

Fabulous Accommodation

Exceptionally clean & comfortable accommodation, lovely friendly communication with host. Wonderful selection of breakfast food, fruit & treats. Loved feeding the animals with the animal food that is left for you to use. Close to town & just around the corner from Donegal House Hotel, where we had a lovely dinner. Could not fault a thing & would happily stay again.

The Highlight stay of our entire trip!

This location was the absolute stand out of our entire trip. Absolutely Beautiful Chalet in the centre of a stunning location. Not a single fault. Bed was so comfortable! Electric blankets and some very soft pillows. The animals were another highlight to the trip- we were able to see the newest little lamb only a few days old! So many beautiful birds and sights to see here. Owners recommended a restaurant not far away for dinner and it was good! We would genuinely like to visit again!

The Only drawback our schedule- we would have loved to stay longer!

Notre hébergement préféré après 3 semaines de visite en Nouvelle Zélande. Spacieux , impeccable . Superbe vue sur les montagnes . Tout ce qu’il faut dans le frigo pour en cas et petit déjeuner. Code pour la clé envoyé avant par e-mail. Moutons, daims et lamas sympathiques à côté qui viennent manger dans la main les granulés friandises fournis. A 4 kms de Kaikoura Whale Watch ( avons vu dauphins et cachalot)

Beautiful, cozy place.

Beautiful views, nice selection of complementary tea, coffee, toast, cereals, etc. Hosts were very responsive to our messages, and had no issues with our unfortunate need to rebook our stay twice! Would definitely recommend for any stay in Kaikoura.

My parents had such a lovely time staying in this chalet. Gina was lovely and easy to communicate with, and was kind enough to allow an earlier check in. The place was absolutely wonderful and my parents had a very comfortable and luxurious stay and they liked the additional little touches here and there throughout the property. They also thoroughly enjoyed being able to feed the sheep and alpacas.

Must've been missed by the hosts when stocking up the food - but the cereal packets provided were expired/past their best before date! All the other food and drinks provided were great though so please don't let this deter you from staying here!

Waking up to the beautiful view of the mountains was amazing! The place is very clean, neat & tidy! Was super cosy, warm and modern! Felt like a home away from home. Quality and luxurious property

Good communication from hosts about key collection, and clarification of the amenities available at the property, before arrival. Property provided an exceedingly high level of luxury and comfort, from the huge internal space , quality fittings, extra wide and comfortable bed to bathrobes being provided. Generous breakfast -sufficient for the entire 4 night stay. (At other properties when staying more than 1 night this has not always been the case)

Comfortable, Quality spacious chalet, close to town

Lovely Mountain view, just out of town. Spacious chalet with comfortable furnishings and washer dryer. Lovely large shower and bath, with bath robes provided. Private off road parking alongside the chalet. Feeding the Alpacas, Deer, Sheep through the fence to the next field was a nice experience (hosts provided the food). Wifi was also very good. We were offered the use of a bbq, as there is no oven but we ate out at the local town or collected a takeaway from the various eateries. There is an electric frying pan and a microwave. The hosts provided a bowl of fruit, a choice of cereals, bread, milk, fruit cocktail jellies, yoghurts, butters, jams, cartons of juices, a small bottle of white wine and a bottle of beer, napkins. New World supermarket is only a 5 minute drive towards town.

We found the tv was on the small side, and therefore, difficult to read.

Great modern chalet with plenty of privacy.

Beautiful, modern, very comfortable bed, great bathroom. Nice breakfast, good plunger coffee.

A little noisy from road traffic in the evening, but soundproof windows were great. Television some distance from couches, but I guess they could be moved closer.

Great place, just needs some cooking facilities and maybe a dishwasher, don’t be put off though.

Beautifully built wooden chalet , one of two, side by side on the owners property. Loads of room and very clean and comfortable, with all the expected facilities other than an oven and hob. We enjoyed feeding the alpaca and sheep which are in an adjoining field and also the large sharing bath. Parking is right next to the property and there is a ramp for anyone with a wheelchair.

No oven or hob Some flys, no doubt attracted to the animals nearby Close to the road but it’s quiet at night.
